Things You’ll Never See On The CBC

Jonathan Kay: that CBC-funded “prank” didn’t just target pundits. In @Quillette, I report on their efforts to mock a humble 82-yr-old Brockville granddad who enjoys 19th-c historical re-enanctments. Producers repeatedly lied to him for months, then exploited his trust

  1. Defrauding Linsay Shepherd and Frances Widdowson will backfire. Both are tough ladies. Ironically, both were fired by woke, anti-intellectual universities for expressing learned opinions.

The CBC is part of the Blob stifling our open society.

    1. I could watch Lindsay read the phone book in a stark room with no decoration and poor lighting … because she’s just that lovely in body and spirit. My inner MAN would like to punch out all the creeps who deliberately deceived her. Worthless meat puppets.

  2. ‘The CBC is part of the Blob stifling our open society.’ Its actually worse, the CBC is the enemy of all free thinking people.

      1. They have no yarbles. Shepherd and Widdowson have yarbles, much to CBC’s dismay.

  3. Perhaps the government funded and government controlled CBC and their affiliates are employing a modern twist on communist “struggle sessions”. Here is a few characteristics of struggle sessions:

-The goal was not just punishment but thought reform: breaking individuals’ wills, forcing public confessions, destroying social trust , and demonstrating the power of the government’s ideology. They weaponized shame and crowd psychology.

    -public humiliation and denunciation rallies

-Purpose: Break the individual’s spirit, enforce ideology, destroy social trust, and terrorize the population into total conformity. They were a core tool of mass psychological control and political purging.

  4. It’s really hard to come to terms with how badly this country has fallen. Just so many gross people hellbent on destroying what little is left of it. There is almost nothing that will keep me and my wife here when we retire in a few years.

    1. The list of reasons for retirees and young workers to leave Canada is much longer than the reasons to stay. High taxes, low standard of living, high debt/deficits, less and less freedom, eroding democracy, dysfunctional legal system, poor healthcare, pushing MAID, increasing crime and poverty…the leave list gets longer and longer.

We’re just waiting to see how the independence movement turns out.

      1. Oh how I wish there were more brave intelligent people to push ahead with separation/independence.

    2. Same thing here HVB. One kid out, two left to go and then we are out in one maybe two years down to the US. But where to live is the question. See you there.

      1. I do hope that one day soon the U.S. treats Canadian Conservatives as political refugees and streamlines a way for us to gain permanent residency. A permanent residency system similar to Panama would be ideal.

  5. The good news is that CBC is taking so much heat for this that they might well cancel the entire production. That’s what happens when the primary motivation is political activism over, you know, entertainment.

And if they’re smart, any future productions involving native groups will be carefully monitored, but that may be giving the CBC too much credit.

  6. Every accusation from our vicious progressive parasites is their confession.
The pathetic losers who attempted this setup are classic chicken dancers, absolutely convinced of their intellectual superiority..reduced to callow stupidity because that is all they have.
    As Homer says,”Smart”,,,S M RT..
    She describes these creatures perfectly.

  7. propaganda. now branching into harmful deception,
then again, same thing. CBC be gone,
