Visit The Washington Monument While You Still Can

Pushback: I’ve ordered the Arizona Commerce Authority to withdraw all financial incentive dollars under their discretion that the State was providing for the company to locate here.

  1. Perfect Example of why I refuse to purchase any item from any Ass kissing Progressive Corporation. Offensive..?? spare me.

The only offensive thing here is that a World renowned Company would bend over on the ridiculous commentary of a useless racist anti American sack of dung.

  2. Oh and does that stop the big from w-a-l-k-i-n-g in them?
Sale in Sony’s basement 2 to 4 pm!

  3. ?
he objects to people walking all over the US flag?
ah well, at least for some there is another unique collector’s item to be had . . . . . . .
I wonder if the colin is going to get CLOBBERED on the field some day and put in a coma.
    all accidental of course.
    or was it ?

I have NOT purchased a *single* nike item in my life.

    1. I bought one pair of lightweight hiking shoes – the sole separated after about 20 hours of use. Crap products.

And Kaepernick is beyond crap – most veterans strongly identify with the flag, and he spits on them by disrespecting it, and their feelings towards it.

I haven’t been to an NFL game since these f*ckwad wannabes took over the NFL, and I doubt I will ever go back.

The college season is more interesting to follow, anyway.

  4. I don’t “buy” this entire story. I smell a marketing ploy. Since NIKE has already embraced anti-American Kaepernick and his talentless anti-American girlfriend … NIKE has decided to capitalize on “outrage”. Hint: Kaepernick hasn’t harmed their sales or stock price.

I don’t believe one word of this story. This was nothing more than a coordinated doubling-down on NIKE’s new SJW persona. I believe this was all set-up with Kaepernick before the shoe was ever designed, fabricated, or marketed. Meh. I can’t generate an ounce of “outrage” at NIKE. I can’t justify spending a dime on their products either.

    1. My thinking too. Either way, I won’t be buying a pair of Nikes or any of their products any time soon. And as for the NFL, I will only watch the Packers. Hey! A man has to have a few addictions.

      1. I can’t help but believe NIKE is chumming for “outrage” … a cynical, nasty, advertising ploy in the Social Media Age. I’m past being “outraged” at leftist stupidity.

  5. Nike is overpriced and their brand is not that strong. After decades of decline, Adidas is catching up with them.
There are much better shoes and gear with superior value out there. Under Armour eats their lunch, as does Saucony imho.
But I would boycott both of those superior brands in a heartbeat if they pulled this crap.

      1. That is a sharp one. You must have had razor blades for breakfast. Hopefully not Gillette.

    1. Under Armour CEO declared a couple of years ago that if you didn’t vote for Hillary, you had to be stupid.

  6. PS … what the hell is WRONG with this shoe design? Is this some sort of anti-pronation shoe that is designed to tip inward? The flag and the sole are out of level … which is jarring to my eye. WTH?

    1. Basketball, anti-supination design. They increase the pronation of the shoe to prevent “high-siding” or rolling over and twisted ankles.

Which of course means that anyone who’s feet over-pronate can’t wear them. They’re like instant pain.

It’ll be fun to see Nike’s sales figures after all us deplorables stop buying their sh1t and their only market is Teh Woke(tm).

      1. I always get supination and pronation confused. Yes, I should have said anti-supination. You sound like a runner … ?

    2. Maybe they have finally got on board with flag etiquette. It is never to be worn as clothing in spite of all the idiots who do so. It is just plain wrong. Now you really know that I am an old man.

      1. Nice to have company. I thought I was the only one who thought making clothing out of the flag was disrespectful.

  7. You know what? It is offensive.

Not because America is the abomination that washed-up athlete turned provocateur claims it is, but because Old Glory is a symbol of something sacred, being used by Nike to sell overpriced shoes.

(Even Nike management would think twice before putting an Islamic crescent on footwear, for example.)

American flag clothing was rare before the 1960’s, when fashionable leftists, who did not consider anything sacred, started wearing it to provoke any “squares” who still believed America was a force for good in the world. The very legality of putting Old Glory on underwear wasn’t established till 1989, by a SCOTUS far more indulgent of the left than the present one.

That American flag clothing is so mainstream today is just another scrap of evidence of how much damage the globalist left succeeded in doing to American culture.

Old Glory deserves better than to be associated with party girls using the Fourth of July as an excuse to drink till they vomit and swan around in indecent starred-and-striped swimwear all day.

    Discuss.

    1. Odious troll at times, yet most of the time spot-on … and this is one of those times. Without a doubt, it used to be poor flag etiquette to use the flag on clothing and other trivial objects. But now … conservative country western stars wear ‘flag’ shirts, play ‘flag’ guitars, etc. Yes, this is just another example of our slouching culture, which has no sense of propriety and manners.

As for myself, I fly an American flag … daily … from my garage. 24/7. It is lit at night as is the proper etiquette, however … I don’t handle and fold, and ‘baby’ the flag as instructed. I suppose I have conformed to the devolved culture? Yet, I still won’t do anything to disrespect the flag … including the purchase of any ‘flag clothing’.

      1. Back when was in Guides, we learned and practiced proper flag etiquette. At camp, the flag was raised in the morning and lowered – and properly folded – at night. It’s been many a year, but probably could still fold that flag. Of course, for moi, it was the Union Jack.

    1. I prefer to think of this as a representation of the flag, though certainly a matter of national pride, rather than THE FLAG.

    1. Awesome! And you will see Trump’s ‘military parade’? and hear him speak from the Lincoln Memorial in Martin Luther King Jr. style? What a historic event you will witness !

      1. Sadly no. I’ll be arriving on the morning of the 5th. I seriously didn’t know about the military parade when I booked my flight / hotel.

        1. Probably better to arrive after the crowds have left … good timing in that regard

  8. Speaking of cheap political stunts, what about Megan Rappinoe? Trump would have fired her, as well he should, for failure to seize the opportunity to promote her brand and to promote her sport. Instead, she opts to dis at least half, if not most, of the American public.

    1. Sorry, no one cares about wymyns soccer except their family, friends, and talking heads on TV.

  9. There’s a story on the web today about nike’s pretend social justice activities in Asia. They were marketing a shoe with a slogan designed to support Hong Kong in its protest against China. China didn’t like this. Nike stopped doing it…..
Company said they did it in response to concerns from its Chinese consumers.
    They just can’t stop caring.

  10. I read somewhere that the real reason was that the designer of the shoes, at a separate company called Undercover, did a shout out to the Hong Kong protesters and that China put pressure on Nike to drop the shoe. They had already been shipped to retailers and were called back.

SO, Kaepernick may not have been the main factor.

  11. A really smart competitor would take this idea and incorporate the same flag into their shoes. I bet they’d sell a ton of them!

  12. Why did they not check with Kaepernick in the first place? In fact why not just make him president of Nike? snort, snark

  13. Isn’t Betsy Ross sitting at the Smithsonian knitting a flag? Better shut that down.

  14. Saw this on the weekend on a shirt.

“I think a man with a helmet defending our country should make more money than a man with a helmet defending a football “

  15. In related news, whiny indians are protesting the statue of Champlain in Orillia Ontario. The statue was removed so work could be done on the foundation, and now the site is ready for the statue to be brought back. However indians are protesting the statue and have put a Canadian flag on the fence with genocide written across it. And of course the usual banging of drums and waving of feathers.

  16. Why does this putz have so much power over a multi-billion dollar company?

  17. I can’t believe we’re all (myself included) giving these halfwits a second of thought, really. They’re basically like any other crybully, just craving attention.

Something about anthems before professional sporting events has always really bothered me for some reason. Maybe disingenuous is the right word? They’re clearly playing for fame and fortune and the teams are all business, nationality clearly has nothing to do with it. Kind of like watching hockey, thinking, “our collection of millionaire Czechs, Swedes, and Russians is better than your millionaire American, Finnish, and Slovak players,” you know?

  18. Got of a photo from Twitter of a red shoe with the hammer and sickle superimposed on the Nike brand. Just do it. Hilarious

I call it the Nike Comrade. Sorry can’t share photo. Check it out.

  19. If their going to bow down to the demands of some useless ungreatful jerk then Nike can Go Kiss a horses backside NO MORE NIKE ANYTHING Take that you stinkhole Keapernick GET OUT GET OUT GET OUT your no longer welcome in America Go Away Pig
