Good news for anti pipeline activists. Groper has stuck it to Alberta again. Our little prince has appointed a female MP from B.C. to the position of Treasury Board president. She is an avid environmentalist who hates pipelines and was vocal in caucus in her opposition to pipelines. She also was behind oil tanker bans when serving as a provincial cabinet minister.
Update.

I’ve long believed that this has absolutely nothing to do with the environment but everything to do with politics.
The Fiberals have been waging war against Alberta ever since Peter Lougheed was first elected as premier. They see us as a renegade province, much like the PRC sees Taiwan. They do not want us to be prosperous as that would give us independence inside Confederation through financial and political strength, which it did. They want to beat us into submission once and for all, forever after kowtowing to the real Canada, namely Quebec.
We’re seen as Quebec’s piggy bank and it is our duty to comply without question. The current siege is meant to be a death by a thousand cuts and will continue until we capitulate, much like Winston Smith did at the end of 1984.
If Bernier became PM, I’m sure he’d clean house and drain the swamp. If Sheep did, he’d keep them in place because he doesn’t want to offend anyone.
Mr. Kenney, I suggest that you quickly begin the process of taking Alberta out of Confederation after you take office as premier.
As for you, Mr. Trudeau, go to hell!
Long live Rupert’s Land!
Rupertsland was purchased without our permission when we never offered it for sale. Ir was conquered by military force in 1870 and 1885 and colonized. It was dismembered and Kewatin and Ungava were added to Ontario and Quebec, again without any vote by the residents. Make all provinces an territories equal and amend the constitution by a 2/3 vote of the people. Give almost all powers to the provinces, even the military and post offices. Limit federal expenditure to 1% of GDP.
“Give almost all powers to the provinces, even the military and post offices.”
Two words reveal the problem with this plan: Kathleen Wynne.
Limit Federal AND Provincial expenditures to 1% of GDP, now you’re getting somewhere.
The CBC has already launched a campaign to defeat Jason Kenny.
I doubt that the majority of Albertans outside of Edmonton get their news via the CBC. It will take much more than the CBC’s best efforts to keep Notley around for another term. I gotta symphatize with Kenney however. He has an enormous task ahead of him trying to undo Notley’s scorched earth policies.

why did michael wernick suddenly
get out of dodge?
two words… marie… heinen…

Western Canadians meaning Sask./Alberta need to take the tanker ban to court. Demand that all Tanker traffic be shutdown on the east coast of Canada.
Don’t worry. If the Spud keeps going in this direction the economy will tank so hard -this- year that nobody will vote for him. Even Le Quebecois will turn their noses up, they gotta eat too. Doug Ford will be DRAFTED to be Prime Minister.
My world is so much better than the Real World, right? ~:D But I can still dream. They haven’t found a way to take that or tax it. Yet. I’m sure they’re working on it.
How dare you insult an innocent potato, how about A$$ pimple Puss.
There is only one way forward for the Colony of Alberta. And to be clear in reality the Provinces are treated as Colonies of Ottawa. Is to Declare a UDI or Unilateral Declaration of Independence. And do not even attempt to get drawn into the legal Bullshit of Ottawa. The UDI will end all Indian Claims, Treaties, and all existing agreements with Ottawa. It will end Multicult and Bilingualism all in one stroke. The SCOC will have no jurisdiction, whatsoever. It immediately moves it beyond all those arrangements, deals and extortion rackets. It also ends all International agreements signed by Ottawa and forced on the Colony of Alberta.
Then the people of Alberta can begin the process of creating the society that they want and need.
Watcher, a UDI has to be backed by force. The Albertans have no armed forces, the federal government has 4200 RCMP occupying troops plus several hundred city cops who will undoubtedly side with their brothers in arms. Revolutions are not negotiated but taken by force.
A UDI would probably be simply met by an arrest of the leaders of Alberta, and the installation of a Federal Governor until the next election can be held.
I can see the headlines now,”PM Trudeau Appoints Gerald Butts Gauleiter of Alberta”.
Wrong Don it does not have to be backed by force to have legal effect. There are 4 M Albertans and if they Democratically decide by Simple Majority to Declare UDI there is nothing anyone can do. It is a long established legal right going all the way back.
Besides the Canadian Military or the Para Military RCMP could do jack shit.
Albertans need to get a set of balls and a backbone.
That is why Canadians jjust lay there prostrate and accept the RAPE of Their Ass no balls no backbones.
Hell people with pitch forks and a backbone could take on the Canadian Military. Spineless and Gutless. Here put some Vaseline on that before you ass rape me. You have Stockholm Syndrome and do not even know it. ha ha ha
It’s easy to pick out the Sunshine Patriots and agents of the state even on SDA.
“It’s easy to pick out the Sunshine Patriots and agents of the state even on SDA.”
And it’s even easier to pick out those who have no idea of reality. Jason Kenney is a comfortable member of the Establishment, no revolution will come from him, and no other politician in Canada who is currently in Office is about to do so either. Revolution doesn’t come from INSIDE the system, but outside.
It’s easy to fantasize about UDI’s, revolutions, fighting against gun control, etc., but eventually you have to come down to reality. We’ve had this conversation before, Canadians are not by nature revolutionaries, and anyone who even mentions that is considered a nutcase. Has anyone here ever sounded Kenney out on his feelings about Alberta separating from Canada? The idea may not resonate very well with him.
We are not going to revolt, and Kenney isn’t going to try to negotiate Alberta’s way out of Canada. The Quebec/Ontario elite knows just as we do how essential to them Alberta’s resources are. They aren’t going to go down without a fight, and THEY have the finances, the Law, the military, cops, and the UN to back them, we have a bunch of disgruntled old men. I hate having to be the “wet blanket” to some here, but the only fantasies I approve of involve shipwrecks, desert islands, and a boat load of vicki’s secret models.
Stockholm syndrome? No worse than “Robin Hood” syndrome.
I think it would be a riot to watch some folks heads explode over a western UDI. Jeezus man, you weren’t in Quebec in the 60’s and 70’s with exploding mailboxes, riots and dead Quebec MLA’s, were you? Troops in our streets? You missed all the action. We’re not even close to that yet, out here.
Nobody was hanged, some people got a vacation in Cuba out of it. For 10 years, then quietly back “home”. I think a couple spent a year in jail, post Cuba. Everybody else carried on with an Equalization check every year, mailed from the ROC. You’re paying.
Wouldn’t want anything to happen with those railways would you? Central Canada and BC are already screwing with the western economies on pipelines, how much sympathy would Ottawa get exercising martial Law? You think Ottawa could get up the gumption to shoot people out here with a beef over Federal law on exports across provincial borders that are already established in Law? The RCMP are outnumbered and mostly in small detachments, outside the cities. It takes time to order up some military and no shots were ever fired at anybody in 1970, when they were.
Nope, we’ll all set down and dicker, just like with Quebec in 1970. The country is dysfunctional now and will break up if things continue much as they are. BC has already “left”, there really is no benefit to remaining for the prairie provinces. If folks outside the Lower Mainland don’t see eye to eye with Vancouver, don’t be too sure that they don’t secede from the LM and join Alberta/Saskatchewan/Alaska.
How many pink haired, bolt through the nose, sexually confused, southern Ontario folks, or their millenial equivalents care about anything that happens north of Barrie in their own province, let alone 3500 kms to the west? They don’t. The Quebec equivalent are still picking the lint out over “bilingue” outside of Montreal, Ottawa, Quebec City. None of them are gonna trek out west to try and prevent the inevitable.
Don were did you study history of Canada at the CBC or maybe CSIS or Paramilitary RCMP. There are 27 page of riots and civil unrests in Canada along with Rebellions in Upper and Lower Canada, the Louis Riel Rebellion, the Irish Rebellions etc.
You may be a sheep but Canada’s history is full of Rebellions and unrest.
Assume the position Don.
Alberta already has a Prime Minister/Premier who is equal to the PM of the City of Ottawa. Alberta has a Head of State the Lt. Gov. Under the BNA which is part of the Constitution, Alberta can enter into International Trade with anyone it so desires.
The citizens of Alberta own Alberta not Canada.
The point about International Trade and Treaty’s was already decided in favor of the Provinces many years ago by the SCOC.
UDI is completely legal. It is an awesome weapon for the Premier of Alberta to have on hand. In fact Alberta because Canada already is a Confederation only has to have a binding referendum in which if 51% of the voters decide to secede they can. That is what Confederation means. An agreement of Sovereign States that have agreed to work together for their common benefit. SOVEREIGN Don.
If 4M Albertan’s decide to leave nothing in Canada can stop them. And the military can do nothing. As far as arresting the Democratically elected Prime Minister of Alberta what are you smoking. That is a pipe dream. That would start a Civil War right now.
If Albertans were given the right to bear ALL ARMS, the ROC would be so outraged that they would immediately head for the hills!
The RCMP would have to be dissolved and an Alberta police force could and would take over. Recruitment would not be an issue.
Let me guess; does she travel on a magic carpet powered by unicorn farts? Maybe she flies around on a broom.
All of this could have been avoided had Brison not resigned is their big excuse. One day we might find out the real reason Brison resigned just as we might find out the real reason Butts abruptly resigned.
Budget day is going to used to detract from Lavscam. His Cabinet shuffle strengthens his claim to be a feminist appointing a female to the post.
Trudeau is taking heat over SNC-L but he’s quite happy to do so. It distracts from the real problem with Wilson-Raybould’s conduct as justice minister Can you imagine the flack he’d take for the underlying reason she was fired?
SNC-Lavalin is a sideshow to the real Wilson-Raybould issue

Black has thrown the blankets back and uncovered the bed bugs of the Indian long game. This is why I wrote that JWR was arguably in conflict of interest as Justice Minister and AG. The Spawn has his father to thank for the current level of Indian expectations of reversing apartheid as he had a “white Paper” prepared that he and Chretien ( Minister of Indian Affairs circa 1970) jammed out of acting on which would have eliminated the Indian Act. The Spawn also has himself to blame for making the situation worse by making ministerial appointments after counting all the available vaginas and melanin shades.
My fervent hope is that Joyce Murray only enjoys her new position for six months.
Amen to that.
Canadians for legal equality
“At Prime Minister Justin Trudeau‘s behest, Karina Gould, the Minister of ‘Democratic’ Institutions” threatened Google with “sweeping regulations” if they did not suppress criticism of the ‘Liberal’ government concerning the SNC-Lavalin scandal and the Wilson-Raybould resignation.
Google reluctantly complied, with the result that some stories appearing worldwide were not available to Canadians via Google. However, Google angrily responded that they would not be accepting ANY political advertising for the upcoming federal election – including from the ‘Liberal’ Party, which has upset the ‘Liberal’ government

Personally I am giddy that Trudope has appointed an anit Alberta bigot. It brings Alberta one step closer to independence.
Good luck with your new identity-politicked pick for Treasurer. In a related story the much ballyhooed FIRST “Female Latina ovvvvv culllller” to RUN PG&E (into bankruptcy) slipped quietly away from the conflagration SHE started with bags full of ratepayer dollars as severance to her incompetence. Woo Hoo! You got an ECO-feminist … just like we did in CA !! Yeayyyyy!!! The girls will FIX everything the patriarchy has “screwed up”. Yeahhhhh! the GALS will SHOW THEM!!!

Soon! You too … will get the pleasure to PAY$$$$ a woman to do a man’s job. To smash through that glass ceiling with YOUR $$$$. Don’t you feeeeeeeeel all better about yourselves … all warm and tingly inside? Just like you do after a happy ending? Well, that’s what these IDENTITY Politico women are doing to you … practicing the oldest profession in the world. For much bigger pay.
Well, people keep resigning on poor little Justin. Yes Michael Wernick the clerk of the privy council has resigned stating that he could not work for a possible Conservative government and ranting again about foreign interference in the upcoming elections. And we can forget about the Lavalin scandal. Prince Groper has appointed a Liberal Party hack, good friend, and former Liberal cabinet minister during the sponsorship scandal to investigate the Lavalin matter. No need for the former AG to appear again before the justice committee. That’s right, a Liberal investigating a Liberal. Welcome to the banana republic of the north.
If you would like to meet the new investigator into the lavalin scandal, according to the opposition party she will be attending a Liberal Party fundraiser. And here is some news for Albertans that voted NDP in the last provincial election. The new leader of the federal NDP spoke for the first time during question period today. He and his fellow socialists concentrated on questions regarding global warming, evil pipelines and demanded more handouts for the media.
Do you think that the hail- Mary pass for both Notley (Alberta) & the Turdo (Notley needs to fix Alberta & Turdo needs a Quebec fix) ,…..”The announcement that NSC has purchased the rights to complete the PIPELINE & floats an IPO to fund the Canadian trail blazing route to tidewater”…., will come to late because Jody insisted on a trial instead of a quick fix for NSC????…..Both Notley & the Turdo (AKA: Two Turds) are heading for ashbin History….
Ujjal Dosangh comes to mind.
Please Lord, let Quebec and Ontario and the Maritimes elect another Trudeau government.
It is the only way I see the west leaving Canada being guaranteed.
If you think Climate Barbie is awful, Joyce Murray is a flatout batshit crazy EcoTard. Of course, she is also embedded financially in the Greentard movement, any self-respecting corrupt Liberal would be crushing one industry, while feathering the bed of their investments, nothing to see here, move along now…………
Couple more of these and they will run out of librano females (the new one seems rather white btw). Justine will soon need to start officially identifying himself as a girl to maintain gender parity.
Murray was one of the front runners when young Trudeau was selected to head the Liberal ticket last time out, and is being positioned for heading the party in the event that JT steps down ‘for the good of the party’.
Any person in her riding, and who regularly receive her newsletters, will verify her pointed disdain for those who identify as Conservatives or ‘climate deniers’ .
One hopes that the Federal Liberal party goes the way of the post-Clark Provincial NDP/post-Mulroney Federal PC.
