Compare this with NDP Leader Jagmeet Singh. He came on at the same place, 10 minutes later. Here the same reporters were deferential to him, allowing him to speak. The same held true with Justin Trudeau the next day.

        Outside a few intrepid eporters, the national media ARE corrupt, and will be so during the forthcoming election.

        My 2 year old Border collie is smarter and even prettier than Trudeau,and is loyal and faithful to our family, while most politicians are too egotistical to be loyal to anyone past their Party and themselves.

Her proposed changes show how really uneducated she is, under her changes a White who is facing trial in an Indian Jurisdiction would have to be allowed a race based jury as well.
      The elite hate the Ancient Jury system because it has the local power of the Supreme Court. A bad law can be struck down by a Jury if they are educated. And the state has done everything in their power to destroy the power of the Jury. The Jury is the citizens last line of defense against the Bad Laws of which we have many and a corrupt judiciary and state.

    All of Canada’s media is controlled by the state now. The RCMP answers directly to the PMO. He controls all the levers and buttons. All the Provincial Premiers are Servile running dogs, who lick his hand. The unelected Head of State is appointed by the PM. Every position of importance is appointed or controlled by the PM in Canada.
    That is how crooked the Canadian System really is and has become. Even the Black Robed Priests come when he crooks his finger.
    There is a long way out if you want to stay in Canada. You have to elect a strong Provincial Premier that serves only the citizens of their Province.
    The Province has to have a Provincial Constitution enshrining the section of the BNA that divides the powers in Canada between the Provinces and Ottawa. Section 45 of the BNA provides this power.
    The Premier has to have a mandate from the people, an undated signed check from the Provincial Citizens called a UDI a Universal Declaration of Independence as a hammer.
    And every time Ottawa encroaches the Premier picks up the hammer. The other option which I think is the only way is for the citizens of Alberta to hold a binding referendum granting their Leader the UDI and use it immediately. Create a new country a Republic called Alberta. The UDI immediately removes the Province from all jurisdiction by Ottawa and the Courts. It ends all control by Ottawa inside the Provincial Borders of Alberta with one stroke. The will of the majority of Alberta’s 4m citizens then can not be ignored. They will have democratically spoken.
    Canada is still a Confederation of Sovereign states (Provinces) it is not a unitary Federation. The Premier of a Province is the First Minister of the Crown in that Province with equal power to the Prime Minister of Ottawa within the BNA.
    Each Province has a Parliament and a Supreme Court. The system is already in place in each Province because Canada is a Confederation.
    The original 13 Colonies in the USA were Provinces until they Declared UDI. The Provinces were each Individual Colonies of Great Britain complete with a Governor of each Province who answered directly to the British Crown, that Governor is still in each Province in the Office of Lt. Gov. Each Province still has it’s own Head of State. When these colonies united in 1867, they became the United Colonies of Canada. The Provinces in effect merely exchanged colonial status with Great Britain for Colonial Status under Ottawa.

    1. I believe it is time for Ontario to undergo this process. Other provinces, especially western ones, should also prepare. Perhaps short of dissolving confederation, it is time to consider a national referendum on Quebec’s inclusion in the Canadian federation. The cancer has to be removed.
      Unfortunately, in many instances but particularly through Adscam and now SNC Lavalin scandals, it is evident that corruption runs Quebec, that it is not a bug but a feature of government in that part of North America.
      Given the problems our American cousins are facing, and the potential violence associated with their foundational moments – the ability to reorder our federation in a peaceful manner might prove to be the chief advantage we hold.

    We must do better than a trial that acquits a white man when an indigenous man is harmed. We must ensure that a different type of justice prevails. We must ensure more white men are incarcerated to even out the jailed demographic. We must change how juries are selected. Not a jury of your peers but a jury of those of victim’s race.

    The Prime Minister and JWR were of the same opinion on this and both spoke publicly about it. Why would the PM not think she would do other inappropriate things for political gain?

  17. The Canadian ‘deep slough’ will drag it’s feet investigating this scandal in a hope that their CBC and their other progressive teammates can eventually create a suitable narrative. It really saddens me to say that I have little if no faith left in the RCMPartisans.

    Scheer should have an army of lawyers rushing the courts with such demands as cease and desist orders being applied to every operator in this scandal. I can hear the sounds of Ottawa shredding, deleting, bleaching and smashing their hard drives and cellphones from over here in BC. The federal ‘cops’ certainly don’t seem overly concerned with attending this open bleeding wound to whats left of our nation.

    JWR’s testimony was epic in it’s revelations yet Scheer approaches it like it’s little more than another discovered Aga Khan island junket. He seems incapable of driving any narrative in this country and disturbingly content to allow Trudeau’s media to smother his access to Canadians.

    Conservatives REQUIRE a friggin’ tiger as leader, a natural hunter, not some pampered housecat. And you know what, just a dash or two of charisma couldn’t hurt Scheer, either. It’s no wonder so many, including conservatives, compare him to Harper.

        OK, your spin on this really makes me puke. I’ve worked in Canadian telecom for years, for people like Mitel, Nortel, Can-Tel, and Call-Net. The CRTC is the poster boy for Richard Posner’s “Capture Theory of Regulation”. They haven’t made a decision in favour of consumers that they are not forced to by the government. Three times, the CRTC ordered Bell to cut off service to Call-Net, who offered inexpensive long distance service. It was only the government of Brian Mulroney, the guy you all love to hate, that over-ruled the CRTC three times to ensure that we had a competitive long distance market. If not for Brian, you’d still be paying $0.60 a minute to call Toronto from BC.

        “Facilities-based” competition is stupid. This is like saying, you want to compete with Canada Post? OK, build your own roads first. I already have a fiber optic line from Bell, and a coax cable from Rogers, coming into my house. That’s over 2 Gb/s. I don’t need another wire coming to my house; I want to be able to afford the capacity that’s already there!

        The telcos love to rape little guys over the coals, because they know most of us don’t have the tech savvy to figure out alternatives. The resellers are just arbitrageurs who help make markets more efficient. For example, at Call-Net, we leased a “t-1” line from Toronto to Montreal from Bell. That normally carried 24 calls at once, but we were able to make it carry 48. $15,000/month for the T-1 = $750/business day, or about $100/hour. That’s about 3 cents/min for our 48 channels, so we could undercut Bell’s $0.32/min, and give our customers a great deal while making money ourselves.

        The telcos and cablecos have a huge monopoly on the wires – it’s not like you can just call up John Tory and say “Hey, I want to run a wire to every home in Toronto.” They have easements and conduits and poles and all that other stuff that no one else can get. They didn’t pay for their monopoly rights. So now that we have the tech ability to squeeze some of those economic rents from Bell and Rogers, it’s high time we get on with it.

        We don’t need to build more fiber between Toronto and Montreal; there’s tons of ‘dark’ fiber already. We don’t need more wires going the last mile to people’s homes, either. We need a regime that separates the wire provision from the service provision.

  23. The parliamentary press gallery consists of over 300+ ‘journalists’. This includes print and tv. CBC (radio Canada) have 75 of the 300.

    These peoples very livelihood depends on them getting ‘information’ that competing journos don’t get. So they curry favour with the libranos offering everything from sex to who knows what in order to get a scoop. They get played for the fools they are all the while sacrificing any independence they portend to have.

    To complicate things even further is the lack of actual competition that exists in the Canadian press. CanWest owns most major city news papers. Sure the Calgary Herald technically competes with the Calgary Sun but that is a ruse. The 2 papers share a news room and compete only for advertising. They play it as right v left and guess who wins CanWest.

    Toronto has it somewhat better in that they have genuine competition. The Star and G&M go head to head. The Nation Post/Sun are a distant 3rd and share the same ownership/news room.

    Television is slightly better as you have cbc, ctv and global plus whatever the fwench networks put up. It’s low brow television with shows that play on the same theme…Power, Politics and variations thereof all the while interviewing the usual suspects ad nausaum.

    That pretty much sums up the press in Canada. A incestuous cabal of Ottawa insiders all suckling at the same teat.
