This guy is willing to fight harder than Scott Moe. He is the new premier as soon as he resigns from the Senate. Or can you be a senator and a premier?
Smells like the election narrative the Liberals are brewing, as elucidated by the “Bald Butts”, is: Defenders of Oilpatch jobs are terrorists; Defenders of SNC-Lavalin jobs are virtuous!
Butts, who will be back to help run Turdeau’s campaign or at least be an advisor, will also play the Nazi card and the racist card.
We need a premier who is going to break as many laws as Notely, Horgan, Butts, Trudeau, … and never apologize for doing so. We need a premier who only goes to premier’s conferences to punch people in the face. We need a premier who will take a meeting with the PM, but only for the purpose of sticking a knife in.
Don’t forget a commander in chief of Free Albertan Air Froce who will order the bombings of Moronto and Vancouver.
Yes, good on Senator Tkachuk, and NEVER apologize to the bastards. The more weakness you show, the more they’ll pile on, like chickens in the barnyard when one goes down injured.
The Left makes movies and TV shows about murdering the Republican President, and violence against the Right is their every day theme, but let one of us say anything the slightest bit offensive to them and it’s an instant blizzard of snowflakery.
Shock ’em all to apoplexy,Senator,” no I don’t apologize. Now fuck off and quit bothering me”. Really, what can they do?
Good for Senator Tkachuk. At least one Conservative still has a couple of brass ones, and isn’t a milquetoast PC.
Trudeau can get away will all kinds of crap including groping and elbowing a female MP in the boobs.
Wow, the Canadian media is just frigging itching for a story to take the heat off of the simmering Trudeau scandals.
Conservatives will be under a bigger than usual microscope by the leftist media.
If the CBC approaches Andrew Scheer about those words, he might wet himself and then prostrate himself in grovelling apologies.
lol… weak Andy would indeed recycle his 2% into a puddle on the floor.
Good for you Sen Tkachuk ……stay the course . Lets hope Scheer stays indoors for a while so as to not screw this up .
Scheer’s only job is to provide cover for Trudeau. Don’t hold your breath hoping for him to screw that up.
Naturally you will quickly determine which of the central Canada smearedia have been bought-off by the $ 600,000.00 Slush Fund for smearedia outlets which; in Just in’s Words; “behave themselves”.
My day isn’t complete unless I have insulted a liberal. The more offended they are the better.
I have a great deal of difficulty believing that Michael Wernick did not understand precisely the meaning and intent of Senator Tkachuk’s words. Most people of normal intelligence and perception would interpret “rolling over them” to mean sending them packing in the upcoming election. Wernick may be an elitist, arrogant apologist for the current government, but I don’t believe he is unintelligent and he surely understands metaphor. So it appears to me that he deliberately chose to misinterpret Senator Tkachuk’s meaning in order to support his hyperbolic rant and partisan accusations. If he really believes what he claims, on the other hand, he is much dumber than any top-level civil servant has a right to be.
It is a figure of speech. I doubt that any football coach thinks he is actually inciting his players to get in cars and drive over the opposing team. My response is “is that all you got?”
No don’t back down. DO NOT APOLOGIZE. Ever.
At most, if necessary, he could explain metaphor.
Yunno, like: ‘when I say the LPOC is a trainwreck” I don’t actually mean that all the MPs were on a train which went off the rails and got wrecked.
And have some FUN with other metaphorical examples for the hypocritical creeps.
The funny thing is, a week or two ago on Rebel Media they made a big deal when Liberal Adam Vaughan made the same sort of comment that Ford should be “whacked”.
Howls of indignation and demands for an apology…..and this from folks who consider themselves Conservative.
Too silly to see that by going the shocked, outraged, disgusted, and appalled route, they are no different than the Liberal bedwetters.
I wouldn’t assume too much about what Ottawa liberals understand. People who think you can choose any gender from a menu of 179, then ride a bicycle to work to change the weather, are not necessarily playing with a full deck.
Let’s roll.
I don’t imagine Scheer would resign until he lost an election by a large margin, which he will do at this rate, people are going to bail on his toothless approach and go either full Max, local independent, or even NDP just to park a vote somewhere that doesn’t smell quite as bad as the two legacy parties. Their legacy will be a failed state.
Hoping against hope that a groundswell develops and the herd thunders over to Max, but there hasn’t been much time for development and there’s bound to be some nasty surprises awaiting us in terms of Adolf Hitler’s second cousin being the candidate in one place and an escaped mental patient in another. Still they’d be better than Liberals. This kind of thing happens when anyone holds up the “real change” banner, lots of people interpret “real change” in all sorts of ways that the originator might not agree with.
Senator Tkachuk, Go after the clerk of the privy council Mr. Wernick. He advised a federal justice minister to break the law. What else has he done over the years that should be uncovered ?
Living inside a Liberal echo chamber trumps (no pun intended) brains every time. The smug arrogance goes with high pay, perks, and job security. Your mistakes are buried. It is good to be the king! Coloring outside the lines is punished severely. Man, they abhorred Harper’s basic decency.
I don’t want to take the wind out of Senator Tkachuk’s address to the pro-pipeline crowd in Ottawa, however the latest polls are showing that there may not be too many Liberals left in this country.
