17. seeing the orange horizon on the news last nite, my thought was, gee, if’n not for the famous and exceedingly expensive 3 strikes law, jamming PRIVATELY run prisons full to the rafters, maybe, juuuuuust maybe some of the BILLIONS putting shoplifters away for 20 years shoulda coulda been spent of anti-conflagration measures, more firefighting personnel and eqpt, patrols to ‘nip them in the bud’, etc.
