Embrace Hollywood!

“Democrats need to embrace Hollywood because this is where they need to come to learn how to tell a story.” – Michael Moore

Paramount brass have told key officials and stakeholders the company is “deadly serious” about leaving California and the home of Hollywood after more than 100 years, sources tell Deadline. Among those told a deposit has been put down on the moving trucks is L.A. Mayor Karen Bass and state Attorney General Rob Bonta. The AG joined with 11 other states to file an antitrust lawsuit against the $110 billion merger. The Writers Guild of America has also sued.

Bonus commentary from Adam Corolla.

  1. Maybe they could get deadly serious about telling Warner to knock off the Bezmenovite BS in all their properties.

  2. “…and state Attorney General Rob Bonta. The AG joined with 11 other states to file an antitrust lawsuit against the $110 billion merger”
Pretty sure that California AG Rob Bonta filed the antitrust lawsuit and other blue states joined California’s suit. Tennessee, Texas, Georgia thank you Rob. New Jersey AG joined in the Bonta suit despite Paramount signing a real estate contract in NJ for a huge space and the promise of many jobs. Expect that Paramount decision is under review due to NJ AG’s actions.

  3. Watching Adam Corola, I was reminded of me leaving Canada in the 1990s. I didn’t -want- to move to the USA, at all, but I HAD to. Otherwise I was going to be poor the whole rest of my fricking life. So I did move. Lived there for 10+ years, built up my war chest, then came home and re-entered the fray with a leg up on all the other poor b@st@rds who stayed here.

So now I’m old and retired reasonably. Not flying to Aspen for skiing, not a new car every year, but okay.

And if I had stayed here I’d be working at McDonalds or something similar. For sure.

    Thanks, #Lieberals.

  4. L – Paramount, Take the Hollywood sign, too! California, a site for the *film dystopia genre.

*(a major uptick from the old film noir genre.)

    1. Soon … all that will be left is West Hollywood … if you catch my drift. Adam Schiff’s men … loving men because love is love. But there is no love for mega-corporations.

  5. “anti-trust” well SO WHAT????? movie tickets are 30% more to pay for the merger? SO WHAT????
its not like health services or food production and sales. movies are friggin LUXURY.
they want to do ‘anti-trust’ crap then take a look at live concert ticket prices mebbe??
gawdalmighty WHO CARES what streaming services, movie ticket, Bluetooth vids cost. WHO CARES?????

  6. Thanks for posting this good news story. Let’s hope that Paramount leaves the the Gavin Newsom state.

  7. the good news if enough bug out, they wont need the woefully far from finished rapid rail.
it is soooo telling isnt it? its no longer in the marginal ‘iffy’ category, no clear and marked advantage to making the move. nope. way past that. that is one BIG bandwagon too.
