  1. Signs of the Apocalypse.
Sooner or later, they’ll start sterilizing hogs, cattle and poultry, too
A state by state and a province by province Constitutional Right to Hunt is needed.

  2. These abortionists can’t leave can’t leave anything alone, can they? And have they ever stopped to consider the trauma and anguish these does will experience at never being able to become a mommy! Nope!
I hope Donald Trump and Mike Pence get wind of this.

  3. Bow-hunting is perfect for urban areas. Every day I walk through a herd of urban deer making their usual mess of everything. I heard my town outlawed bow-hunting but I don’t know for sure or even whether they can – seems the pantywaist generation has trouble witnessing the death of Bambi’s mom.

  4. Planned Parenthood should get in on this, perhaps they can do abortions AND pass out pamphlets on birth control.
    Now,how to translate “Human-speak” into “Bambi-speak”…..
This past season,I never saw a legal deer that wasn’t on posted land. More anti-hunters around than ever.

  5. There’s a lot of land posted not because the landowner wants to save the deer, but because they have had too many demonstrations that their rights and interests aren’t respected by people who want to get on their land.

  6. Stop laughing folks, this is serious matter. first they turn deer into liberals, second the give them voting rights.

  7. Yes,one farmer explained to me that he did allow hunters on his property at one time, but they drove pickups onto his fields and chewed the hell out of them. So, there has to be responsibility on the hunter’s part as well.
The area I hunt, though, most of the posted land is owned by anti-hunters. I’ve talked to them, they are firm in their beliefs. They own the land so, it’s their choice.

  8. > “The thinking is if the deer are spayed, their population numbers go down very slowly, 20 percent a year approximately, and the surrounding deer don’t invade,”
Maybe not this year and maybe not next year, but in three years your “native” deer population will be halved. Deer from surrounding areas WILL move in by then. And all the money you’ve spent will be wasted. Bullets are cheaper.

  9. Seriously ? These “animal lovers” aren’t out in the woods teaching Bucks how to put a condom on a cucumber ? Aren’t they teaching that MALE deer have just as much reproductive responsibility as the Does ?
These people are sick in the head

  10. It’s not just there. The Bambi lovers want to do this in Oak Bay and Victoria too. Can’t shoot the little darlings, they might cry and say something sad. And they were here first, we’re the intruders, dontcha know?

  11. “They can live out their lives and not be shot.” Like, with sunshine and butterflies, pretty flowers and music? How stupid or ignorant must one be to not realize that these deer will either die from parasites, car crashes, some not-funny disease or maybe if it is lucky from predation? And I am not sure if an ageing population really is such a good idea for population health either. Hmmm.

  12. scar, it is one of the dumbest things I have ever seen. Everyday when I open my eyes another idiocy is there for perusal.

  13. The most merciful death a dear can have is being shot. Wild dear don’t die if old age, they get eaten alive by wolves/coyotes.

  14. The 10 square miles surrounded by reality City of Ithaca, NY, also home to Cornell University has tried this same thing. Their conclusion is that is does not help in the slightest. Deer populations have remained steady after spending hundreds of thousands of dollars. It seems does who are fixed still go into heat, and stay in heat, which draws in bucks from surrounding areas. Also, some of the sterilized does still became pregnant. They now allow hunting since it is cost free, and actually works.

But, is there is money to be spent, the liberals will spend it. Results are not as important as spending money.

  15. Ann Arbor has a deer sterilization service? Don’t tell me, let me guess – their motto is, “The buck stops here”!
