    Interesting to note that while the CBC, CTV and other MSM sources will report on the type of watch Justin Trudeau wears, the brand of hair gel he prefers, and any number of useless facts they may uncover, they have rarely produced a documentary on Mr. Harper. Sad!!

  15. One must say that Harper is so much not like the current Prime Minister (here using the term very, very loosely).
    The current one does not come to even mentioning in the same sentence, in fact if he is referred at all it should be immediately dismissed for too much of sucking on air.
    At one point Harper referred to immigration where he said something in sense that you gotta talk to the population what they think.
    In contrast, the current PM where he stated at one time that there is this thing about “post national”.
    Apparently that does not require confirmation from the populace, the populous will be dictated to by the megalomaniac.

  17. The interesting thing about immigration under harper is that it was being implemented carefully to address Canadian needs — and not to serve special interests. Under Trudeau, the number of Syrians coming to Canada as refugees was not based on what was reasonable in terms of communities, schools, hospitals, etc. ability to accommodate — it was done because some honcho at the UN told us how many people we should take in. Most Conservatives are not anti-immigrant, but we think immigration should be aimed at strengthening Canada and we are strongly opposed to extremism . . . including insisting on wearing your face mask at the citizenship ceremony. Like Harper, Conservatives care very much about the kind of country we have and importing too many people with very different cultural values is a problem.

    Immigration has always been a positive experience for Canada…until Trudeau and the Libs made it a political project.
    Kenny made changes to immigration laws that made sense. And Harper did the right thing by not getting involved.
    With the media’s help Libs distorted Harper’s record, focused on PM Selfie and it became all about HIM. His hidden agenda to fast track,(allowing the possibility of terrorists to come in) reduce screening, and hand over perks and cash is the cause of the anti-immigration backlash.
    On a daily basis I meet immigrants …the real ones that came over because they wanted the Canadian life. They followed the rules, got thru the red tape, landed and assimilated and Canada, and are now valuable hard working citizens. They are the ones insulted by the way Trudeau has turned it around with selfies and handouts.
    Trudeau and the Libs and media have themselves to blame for the anti-immigration backlash.

  25. I would support the idea of saving newspapers, however I am sooooo concerned about climate change and carbon dioxide being released into our atmosphere that I believe it is best to let the trees grow in the forest.
