Oh, Shiny Prime Minister!

Trudeau Town Hall, Saskatoon Edition;

According to U of S professor Daniel Beland, Trudeau is less popular in this province than most other places in the country.
”Justin Trudeau faces the most opposition and also a more skeptical public, certainly because the honeymoon is over and the issues facing Trudeau and criticisms facing Trudeau are piling up,”

Hard to understand why.

Having received the above confirmation, I quickly went about making the necessary arrangements needed for a last minute 600km trip. Child care was arranged, as well as chore duty. Even with a possibility of meeting the PM, our animals needs must come first. On top of the regular chaos of the ranch and children, the day of Trudeau’s town hall also happened to fall on my birthday. So party plans were called off, and I broke the news to my kids that they would have to save the celebrations for the following day.
I spent a large part of my day brainstorming ideas of possible questions to ask. I threw it out on social media, asking what respectful questions my peers would ask. There were many concerns, and thoughtful questions to go with them.
I was very surprised to see, almost 12 hours later, another email directly from the sole Saskatchewan Liberal MP’s office in my inbox…

  1. “Justin Trudeau faces the most opposition and also a more skeptical public, certainly because the honeymoon is over and the issues facing Trudeau and criticisms facing Trudeau are piling up,”
I think the Liberals have no choice but to start looking at what’s going wrong in the west.
Keystone is now a reality. Trudeau did make amends about the Oilsands comments he made, so he does have a sense of right and wrong. Many of his friends from the Suzukian Cult have distanced themselves from the Liberals and are going NDP. There are scores of criticism over the Carbon Tax outside of Saskatchewan, especially from electrical consumers in Ontario. I think he may see the light. And one thing is positive. He is here, and he is listening.
Off topic, I heard a report on the radio today that there are billions of tons of carbon in the soil just below the surface of the grasslands of Saskatchewan. Yes, that’s true. But the stones are much heavier!!

  2. ‘Want a better brain? Try a video game, U of S research says’
Story on same CBC thread shows more promise than any conversation with Boy Wonder.

  3. “…I am incredibly disappointed in this. … the dishonesty around it all. …”
The Liberals never disappoint me, I have realistic expectations of them.

  4. I couldn’t stand listening to G W Bush as he butchered the language with his absence of sentence structure preferring to string phrases together. I couldn’t stand listening to Obama because I refused to be lectured to by a socialist, pathological liar and faculty lounge narcissist. I can’t stand listening to Trudeau because, he is a hybrid of the other two, his “ah” count is through the ceiling, and he acts like he has something to say but there’s nothing there but shallow, feel-good bilge. What’s worse is the vacuous smiles of adoring mindless cheerleaders that surround him. What would possess any sentient self-respecting being to make them want to go and listen to him at a Town Hall meeting. Even if you got to ask him a question, you would have to go through the hell of having to listen to his reply.

  5. That’s a disgrace. False advertising and as Adrienne said, he wants to (only) speak with the people that voted for him. That is what they call consultation.
Same all over. On Dec 16, Shannon Phillips hosted a radio call-in “town hall” meeting. The callers were screened and she never addressed one emailed question. There were several poll questions during the show which lasted about 90 minutes….you answered online. Some notes:
** Poll questions were shallow and did not address significant issues and design to illicit support for her obscene climate plan.
** Callers were obviously screened with the majority clearly in favour of the plan or they were neutral and had benign questions.
** One caller asked something like ”How will the CLP change global climate?” The caller then started another question, “What difference will closing coal make considering that China is building …” But she never got that far before being cut off. The lady was cut off at the word “China” and there was no response about the cut off from the facilitator. They knew she was going to ask about all of the new coal plants being built in China. But was cut off.
A totally fake town hall meeting. I made more notes, but you get the idea. They consult with their own ilk and exclude any challengers. Bastards all.

  6. Donald Trump has accomplished more in one week than Le Dauphin Petite Pomme de Terre accomplished in a year.

  7. “I wanted you to be open to our concerns. I wanted you to care. How disappointing. ”
That’s why women shouldn’t vote. They actually think the politicians give a damn about them.

  8. He backtracked on his oil sands comment but that is only temporary, he still has the same goals and will lie like every other liberal until he gets the opportunity to dump his dangerous policies on the country.

  9. The so called Town Halls meeting are stack with Liberals. Soon as you give them your personal information they can identify you. Conservatives, NDP, and non Liberals were knocked off! I can prove to any logical thinker using a ratio that athropogenic climate change is not possible! Therefore the carbon tax is a fraud! How would Our Prime Minister dealt with That?

  10. If you are going to be so hard on the clown PM Turdeau, include a few others who drink the Kool Aide AGW such a Premier Wall.

  11. This tactic – short notice/registration/no space – has been developed to an art form by the Ontario Liberals. We (Landowners Associations)got around it by arriving as a group and simply crashing the meetings.
But by the time 2010 rolled round, they threw new monkey wrenches into the works: they reduced the notice time for the meetings to 24 hours, and they moved the venues to distant locations. For example, we learned on a Monday that public objections from Glengarry residents to the Endangered Species Act would be heard the following morning in Kingston Ontario…a 2.5 hour drive away.
On those occasions when we did get in to the circle-jerk/love-in, every attempt was made by the organizers to avoid our questions: mics were turned off; politicians left early because of sudden emergencies; the rules were suddenly changed to allow multiple sequential questions from Liberal puppets.
And then there was (is) the lapdog press. Nine times out of ten the pathetic bastards could be relied upon to describe us as angry militants, and our blunt questions to politicians about the legislation that was taking away our property rights as “rude” or “disrespectful”. To a man/woman, they utterly refused to see a story in the extraordinary steps the Liberals had taken to avoid confronting the victims of their environmental legislation.
And the PCs have picked up the same playbook. My neighbour and I had to crash another supposedly “public” meeting a few years back in Metcalfe, Ontario when hapless Hudak showed up to tell his fart-catchers and party stalwarts how come he merited a chance to contribute to Ontario’s ruin. We were pointed out to him, and during question period he failed to see my raised hand directly in front of him for a good twenty minutes. He only took my questions when a Conservative MPP put him on the spot by interjecting and pointing out that I had been waiting for quite some time.
And in the end, what difference did it make? None. The public continues to lie low like snakes in the long grass, hoping that they’ll somehow avoid the greedy claws and beaks above.

  12. Second that. I go further; there should be no representation without taxation. Why do tax free indigenous people still get a say on how money is spent? And no vote for anyone paid with public dollars; in fact for government employees, we should move to a government housing and government store system.
Imagine a water tank. Government takes a cup of water from everyone, puts it in the tank. Peter gets paid by the government. So Peter drinks cups of water from the tank, pees in a cup, pours it back in the tank. Furthermore, Peter is in a union. Union gives water from the tank to the NDP and Liberals. NDP and Liberals reward unions with bigger contracts and better pensions; defined benefit pensions that no one in the private sector has offered for decades.
In effect, public sector unions guarantee that all government is the Clinton Foundation. while (true) do “we get our friends elected, our friends reward us”.
Eventually, Thatcher is required in every country that has allowed the terminal disease of unions to infect it. The only positive about Marxists is that they always plant the seeds of their own destruction. The fatal flaw of all not Marxists; they always let the Marxists in.

  13. “Things are slow, we understand that, and we are frustrated, don’t get me wrong. They have a lot of catch-up to do and it’s not by his fault. It’s the previous government’s fault.”
Almost a year and a half later and JT is not to blame for inaction on the aboriginal front because – Harper’s fault.
When’s that asteroid supposed to get here anyway?

  14. It is becoming obvious that he airhead in Ottawa is not interested what a Canadian might want to say.
He is very much interested though what some guy in Bahamas wants. And he get’s it.
The drama queen is a megalomaniac, that want’s the world to like him and be famous for being famous.
Worry not though this is what people of this country wanted. He is still very popular, that being a key word, among his fellow country people.
    Who is he popular with?

  15. yes John, and you butcher reasoning. I don’t like listening to most speakers, include G Boosh, bit I was able to determine that Bush was a dyslexic simply by reading criticism of his speaking. There are those of us who function differently from others. Get over it, not all are like you, some of us prefer it that way

  16. When the circus came to Calgary, Rick Bell asked the airhead a question with a preamble of what he says in the east and completely different things he says in the west.
The airhead came up with a breathless nonsense about future and “climate change” and how we have to change the world.
No doubt the lines learned before the circus tour scripted by his handlers. There is one thing that this guy does well, one has to reluctantly agree, it is reading and remembering the script. Without it he would be dead in the water, as the saying goes.

  17. Boy Trudeau – learned- the tactic of scripting a so-called “open” Town Hall meeting with friendly puppets from HER … who learned it from Mao, Castro & Chavez. HER Town Halls were wall-to-wall made-for-TV FAKE “reality” show. Trudeau doesn’t want to hear from the vast majority of middle class hard-working Canadians who are struggling to make a living under his leftist policies. What EVER made anyone believe that boy Trudeau would have the male reproductive tackle to take questions from “normal” Canadians ?
However, I was laughing my ass off reading about how Chief Wanna Billion pestered boy PM for more TV’s for the reservations. Yeah, and ALL the shiny new TV’s will be tuned to leftist news outlets.

  18. Notice how there is always a Muslim or two (Syrian Refugees?) in the front row of these town halls. Tells you all you need to know about what Trudeau thinks of connecting with ordinary Canadians.

  19. Don’t be fooled by their youthful and “diverse” appearance: the Dear Leader and Supreme Drama Teacher and his Liberal brain trust are a late-20th-Century solution to a late-20th-Century Canada.

  20. Heres what I observed.
The listening tour has revealed a lot of those liberal supporters are in a state of belief that one year in they aren’t living in the nirvana juthtin promised he would deliver right away a year ago.
The lady in Peterborough encapsulated the sense of disappointment with her “somethings wrong”. I don’t think these folks are ready to stay home next election day yet, but they are starting to display buyers remorse.
As to the above poster recollecting how the liberals make sure the majority of attendees are bonafide juthtin worshipping supporters. There is really only one way to combat this and you might be repulsed at the suggestion. Take out a liberal party membership and then infiltrate their riding associations. Am I suggesting you actually support the enemy? No, what I’m suggesting is if you want good intelligence enter the belly of the beast. Register using your middle name if you want, but if you want to get past the palace guard you have to get them to drop their guard.
That being said however I don’t think we may have to. Heres why.
Right now juthtin is doing a fine job of up setting the far left. Eventually someone in the inner circle is going to feel like they got cheated…much the same way Brrnie Sanders supporters felt when they realized the fix was in for the primary.
One caveat. That last bit of prognosis is just a prediction that requires one or more factors occurring simultaneously to come to fruition. However lately juthtin is doing a good job of creating an environment for such an occurrence to happen.

  21. He is here and he is listening??? You cannot be serious, can you?
He came west for the photo ops., but what is way, wayyyy importnatmore – so he didn’t have to attend the thing in Davos where he is seriously SERIOUSLY! out of his class.

  22. “According to U of S professor Daniel Beland, Trudeau is less popular in this province than most other places in the country.”
Huh. Saskatchewan is a piker when compared to my household. Now THERE is a territory where the pretty Doofus is really not popular.

  23. Anybody who thinks the PM is going to show up for an -actual- town hall is delusional.
This is a nation who’s government feels entitled to 65% of your income, more if you are poor. Our politicians live and die based on their control of the narrative. If they were forced to be honest about what’s actually going on here, they’d be out on their butts in a week.
Canadians are stupid. They keep being surprised that these guys are cheating, thieving liars.

  24. “I’ve spoken with a number of chiefs who said, ‘You know, we need a youth centre … You know, we need TVs and lounges and sofas so they can hang around.’ And when a chief says that to me, I pretty much know they haven’t actually talked to their young people,” Trudeau told the audience in his response to Thomas.
“Because most of the young people I’ve talked to want a place to store their canoes and paddles so they can connect back out on the land and a place with internet access so they can do their homework.”
Have you ever heard such condescending bullshit in your entire life!?
What about a place to store their bows and arrows and maybe their eagle feather head dress?

  25. Thats “Political Science”.
Obeying the forms whilst slaying the function.
Basic evidence democracy has “evolved” into Kleptocracy.
The carefully scripted “public consultations”, the referendum questions of complete obscurity, where yes means nothing and no still means “Shut up”.
The parasites are fully in control, the watchdogs are fully coopted and the decline is fully underway.
Stacking the audience is so normal to democrats and Liberals, that when the CIA minions cheered Trump the media cretins were absolutely certain that Team Trump had filled the meeting with their people.
You are dead right about the wilful blindness of “The Media” and almost all “Public figures”,freeloaders to a man, they depend totally upon the institutions they are destroying.
Blind worms gnawing at the foundations of civilization, overwhelmed by the load of their own certainty and self importance, they befoul everything they touch and blame everyone else for the mess and stench.

  26. “W” did well in interesting venues, and those speeches never saw the light of day thanks to the MSM. I used to visit the RNC site to keep up with reality. His charm came through while addressing the NAACP and the Ukraine’s all too brief democratic spring. The crowd there was massive and appreciative. He’s too liberal but a very good man from a very good family.
