  1. Of course it is ! And EVERYONE (except that one lonely dude typing in his mothers basement) understands that. Everyone understands that Obama is simply NOT obeying our laws by forcing a catch and release (at best) policy for ICE. For funding bureaucrats to AID illegals while cutting border enforcement. We have seen Obama literally bomb Central America with leaflets inviting everyone to the USA for FREE STUFF. Yeah … the wall is symbolic. It is time we simply deployed troops to the border and ENFORCED our LAWS. This includes NO AMNESTY ! If Trump DARES allow a single one of the ILLEGALS to remain in America … his “new” GOP is finished. Done.

  2. “Jamie, please enlighten us: just how rich and intelligent are you, that you can call a billionaire a “buffoon”? ”
KevinB, please enlighten us: point out where it says that great wealth is necessarily contingent on intellect.

  3. So very well said ! Bravo! … and I am one of those who view Trumps Arcitecture as bland, banal, and bordering on tasteless. I hope he doesn’t bring his “design sensibilities” to the presidency. The structural framework is solid … but as Modernism Architect Mies Van der Rohe said … “God is in the detail”. It always angers me when people say “The Devil is in the detail” … no, the Devil is in cancer and destruction of the detail. God is the creator who makes beauty with every element .. every atom.

  4. It IS … in certain parts of the uninhabited desert. Google Earth it. Also, consider how Israel treats airline safety. They do MUCH MORE than build a hardened cockpit door to keep their airlines safe.
Trumps WALL needs to be an “all of the above” WALL. A physical wall, an electronic surveillance wall, a physical deportation wall, a wall against welfare payments to illegals, a wall against the importation of communicable diseases, etc. etc.
To believe that any single stretch of a physical wall is “enough” … is a rather “simplistic” view. Very “simplistic”. Very, very, very, … simplistic

  5. You go to the top of the class, grok. But you didn’t need me to tell you that.
For myself, I’m praying for Trump.
And the first photo with Trudeau embracing him, or attempting to, will be a winner.

  6. Ted Cruz better do some praying that Trump loses and is gone by 2018. I suspect he may have a very difficult time receiving the Republican nomination for dogcatcher in Austin. Essentially telling Republicans to vote Democrat while speaking at the Republican Convention has to be a sign of mental issues. It would have been so easy to be a man but he didn’t have the cojones. Sure Trump used personal attacks. Sorry to break the news to Lying Ted but he didn’t invent them. Calgarians are usually made of firmer stuff.

  7. Donald Trump has gone from a renegade to an insurgent, now quite possibly to the presidency. His big tent, somewhat conservative fusion with populism casts a wide net of appeal. It seems he has lifted a page out of the Harper playbook with an appeal to moderates.
All the panicked left can do is spout insults and slogans, pretending to themselves they are the smart ones, but convincing only themselves.
Meanwhile 44million voters, many undecided, watch Mr Trump, with other than great oratory, demolish the statist agendas while presenting a positive vision of an America with such wide appeal the mediocracy will exhaust themselves repudiating it; but of course they will try.
Chris Matthews, guided by his own prejudices and cowardice, apparently did a freak show at the RNC demanding to be further away from the “Trump radicals.” Then there was Heidi Cruz’ mistreatment and the plagiarized Ivanka speech, apparently lifted from Michelle (thank God she didn’t steal her fashion sense).
The left is in high dudgeon. I don’t plan to watch a much if any of the DNC, but it will be fun watching Liz Warren spit all over the stage and Chris and CNN fawning over Hillary staccato yelling, but apparently presidential speaking style. I understand Montel Williams also had a temper tantrum.
Trump’s kids say their father accomplishes everything he sets out to, I’m starting to believe them, even though Mr Trump still has a mountain to climb.
Trump has accomplishments, the statists promise accomplishment which they never deliver on time or on budget if at all. Mike Pence is right, The Dems says they are they best Americans can do, when the truth that is the best the Dems can do.
Donald Trump is no Barack Obama at the teleprompter. That’s a good thing imho. He’s grounded to the issues detail so doesn’t have to rely on platitudes and pontifications. Hillary will try the same thing, but she has to somehow get past this ominous definition of her by Trump:
“And when a Secretary of State illegally stores her emails on a private server, deletes 33,000 of them so the authorities can’t see her crime, puts our country at risk, lies about it in every different form and faces no consequence – I know that corruption has reached a level like never before.”
When the FBI Director says that the Secretary of State was “extremely careless” and “negligent,” in handling our classified secrets, I also know that these terms are minor compared to what she actually did. They were just used to save her from facing justice for her terrible crimes.”
In fact, her single greatest accomplishment may be committing such an egregious crime and getting away with it – especially when others have paid so dearly. When that same Secretary of State rakes in millions of dollars trading access and favors to special interests and foreign powers I know the time for action has come.”
Three devastating paragraphs that enunciate her untrustworthiness, incompetence and unaccountability. That, along with the broad program outlined by Mr Trump (with lots of meat for Bernie supporters you clever man), should parlay the GOP to victory, now that Cruz and the whiners are off the island.

  8. Minor correction: “Then there was Heidi Cruz’ mistreatment and the plagiarized Ivanka speech…” That was Melania’s crisis (Trump’s foreign born wife), not Ivanka’s. Ivanka would not get caught out on something like that, nor would I want to be the moron who tried to make a big deal of it.

  9. Well said.
B, exactly. However the people here are too enamored with the Shiny Pony and his nice hair whose puppeteers, Butts, Suzuki, and Soros, pull the strings.

  10. Thanks, with the whole family involved, which at first wondered about but now see its power, it’s hard to keep them all straight.

  11. Stewart is a wonderful example how, with hard work, perseverence, and a bit of luck, a TURD can advance to host their own, unwatchable socalled comedy tv show.
Amyone can succeed in America, right there…..

  12. “…going to be up against an entrenched democrat bureaucracy and sheer frustration … may cause him to quickly lose interest in the job.”
It may. But it may cause him to find ways to make the entrenched democrat bureaucracy lose interest in their jobs.

  13. Re. your description of Trump: B.S.!
Did you listen to Donald Jr.’s speech? He said what his father has been saying for YEARS. You don’t gather steadfast supporters such as Rudy Giuliani, Joe Arpaio, David Clarke, Newt Gingrich, Patrick Joseph Watson, Peter Theil, the border agents association, Judge Janine Pirro, Sean Hannity, and my favourite, Jeff Sessions, if you’re a “buffoon.” Hillary is hard-bitten, a power monger and money-hungry. Listen to Dinesh D’Souza for his take on the Obama/Clinton gangsters.

  14. Trump is a buffoon. Look up the definition.
It doesn’t mean he isn’t smart.
And, if I was a Yank I’d damn well vote for Trump before Frau Weasel. Hell, I’d even put his sign on my lawn.
    But he’s a clown, a cartoon, a bull-shitter.
Give me a Reagan, a Thatcher, a Walesa, any day.

  15. I know the definition of ‘buffoon.’
Why would you label a force of energy in human form, with concrete accomplishments, a clown? He whipped the likes of Scott Walker, fair and square. (Ted Cruz is now relegated to Kanye West status.)

  16. I have been predicting Trump will be POTUS since the first debate. And while I personally believe he will be a good president the main fallback position is that “he couldn’t possibly be any worse that whose in there now”
Also I don’t think Trump has a hidden agenda which Obama obviously did.
