Why this blog?
Until this moment I have been forced to listen while media and politicians alike have told me "what Canadians think". In all that time they never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

Who are you gonna believe? What I tell you or your lyin’ eyes?
A prefect opportunity for Trump to point out the biased and manipulative media, as well as the irresponsible and inept Democrats running California. If Trump talks about it, the story will no longer be buried.
Of course, if it happened in Texas it wouldn’t leave the the front page for weeks. Every story is about who you are, favored or unfavored, these days.
These things happen, unfortunately. Saskatchewan had an NG cavern burning last year. As more and more utilities switch to NG from coal for baseload power there will be more need for storage caverns. NG prices are volatile. Because homeowners use NG for home heating there needs to be storage to prevent unaffordable heating bills in the middle of a long cold winter. Saskpower has had to shut down NG generators in a recent winter to preserve gas for residents. I would like to see more nuclear for baseload but the fear factor is too great.
As an aside about disappearing stories – During this warm winter has anyone heard the Polar Vortex mentioned. Remember last year it, due to climate change, was causing extreme cold. And then “Poof” this year the polar vortex is no more. Funny how the settled science and the “expert” explanations consistent with CAGW of weather phenomena come and go as necessary.
Of course the truth of the matter is that a gas leak of this magnitude means… NOTHING.
If not for the global Warmies being all upset about greenhouse gasses, this -is- a local story. If not for idiot regulations they’d probably flare it, the same as they flare every other frickin leak in the world.
anybody have a match?
Wonder why there are no videos of the decades old coal seam fires in China……the ones that by themselves produce more CO2 than the entire CO2 produced in Canada. And yet, the NDP demands that Alberta shut down its 10 coal fired base power plants. The stupidity is stunning.
Google “Door to Hell”….there has been a natural gas fire going on in Turkmenistan since 1971.
Turner Valley, AB burning ditch…right in Rach’s backyard. Tragedy I tell ya.
Bonnybtook Sewage Plant flares off gases daily too.
Don’t get started on cow farts, hog barns/cesspools…
Too much hot air, we are doomed.
Back to rum&eggnog
That leak was why turner valley was discovered, a breached anticline, actually half of one, the other half was discovered in the 1980s about 30 miles north of there
