Conservatives who didn’t speak out about C-51 and lawfare abuses should be ashamed too. The party shot itself in the foot, not a good thing since the foot was in the mouth (barbaric cultural practices hotline, hey now, there’s a libertarian highlight reel moment).
I’m sure progressive voters view this as a feature not a bug. They are convinced that if we don’t attack ISIS, they will leave us alone.
I remember that Liberals and NDP demanded a parliamentary debate whenever Harper wanted to deploy our armed forces. Now we don’t hear a peep when Pretty Boy Junior unilaterally decides to end the mission.
Wonder what the Shiny Pony will do when NATO tells him it’s time to pony up in Eastern Europe as there are recent rumblings that NATO will increase troop strength there. Maybe he plans to stare down Putin all on his own.

This was part of a much broader initiative which — surprise, surprise — I am sure you did not read about in the press. The only publicity was to completely distort the purpose of the hotline . . . not for “neighbors” who for the most part would never even know if a young woman was being forced into marriage . . . but for VICTIMS — young women who have nowhere to turn. Interestingly some immigrant women’s groups had been requesting the hotline since 1992. So many issues around this election were distorted by the media. This one in particular I find quite appalling as undoubtedly someone may end up dead as a result of not being able to access a help line to attempt to defuse a situation in advance.
Dear lord, Brian Lilley is insane. Finding someone who creates tweets in support of your argument does not make a case. The internet is a repository of meanderings about nearly everything. If I wanted to bloviate about people who hate kittens there’s gotta be a bunch of idiots who want all the cats killed and are writing about it, somewhere. The irony is that the same people who postulate they could never agree with anything Obama does (e.g. Launch military strikes on ISIS) are also those who secret Trudeau for not doing the same.
