Why this blog?
Until this moment I have been forced to listen while media and politicians alike have told me "what Canadians think". In all that time they never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

Exactly. You can point out that Mulcair will turn us into Greece II and that Justin is an imbecile, and it all just rolls off them because “anyone but Harper” – for no reason anyone can explain apart from desperately cherry-picking an ancient story from the MSM, like that he defunded some blue-sky “environmental” researchers (the one my in-laws always dredge up).
Don’t…get…your…hopes up. I’m serious. Prepare to see your children grow up in a pathetic laughingstock of a country. Look what’s happening in Alberta already, and prepare to see our entire country go that way.
You build the economy from the bottom up, not the top down; hugs are already included.
Therein lies the problem, progressives actually believe they can build & grow an economy, from the top down, as directed by government, not society making countless financial decisions while the bureaucrats preside over “transactions of decline.”
Oh but Harper doesn’t have a PhD in economics, so that can’t be right.
BTW, society is no longer important when you have the individual as a part of “top down” government. Limited government is good government.
I kind of feel sorry for the guy on this one, but not his party; his opponents are going to ride him hard on this latest gaffe. I also understand Mr Mulcair has his application for PM on a Tory ad; surprisingly, it didn’t go well. Cue for the juggernaut.
This is what happens when the Momma’s boy goes off script. Methinks the Momma spent too much time in the smoky confines of what was it – ‘Studio 52’ a few decades back?
Thanks for the suggestion, I will do that. My neighbour told me that he does not like Harper because Harper does not wear a suit jacket and tie. I said neither do the other guys when they are out campaigning.
Junior is not ready for prime time and really is a political embarassment as the Liberal candidate.
Are Canadians going to vote to send this kid to G8 meetings, to deal with Putin as he invades Ukraine, to negotiate with Merkel, or combat ISIS with winter parkas
Junior Trudeau’s juvenile statements that should be of grave concern to every Canadian
“We’re proposing a strong and real plan, one that invests in the middle class so that we can grow the economy not from the top down the way Mr. Harper wants to, but from the heart outwards,”

“We have to look at the root causes,” Trudeau said. “Now, we don’t know now if it was terrorism or a single crazy or a domestic issue or a foreign issue.
Van Dusen asked Trudeau how committed he would be to a balanced budget at this moment.
“Would it worry you to go into deficit in this current climate to, as you say, put more people to work?” Van Dusen asked.
“The commitment needs to be a commitment to grow the economy and the budget will balance itself,” the Grit leader replied.
