  1. It’s more complicated than the article implies. The American economy is turning around. The US can’t really afford another war. Right now the US has proxies fighting on the ground (and dying). Canada even has a role there. ISIS is slowly being beaten.
    Saudi Arabia is working to crash oil prices, which is good for Americans and terrible for the economies of Russian and Iran. It’s also devastating to countries like Venezuela.
    What I mean is that O’s policies are slowly working. Iran isn’t negotiating because it suddenly wanted to talk. It needs to.
    It’s in style to call anyone whom Israel is unhappy with anti-Semite. It’s more reasonable to think that Israel is actively involved in American politics for Israel’s sake.

  2. Just like the Turks in the early 20th century attempted to eliminate all Armenians by executing 1.5 million of them, Iran’s leaders want Israel – and all Jews – eliminated from the face of the earth.
    One can complain about Jews and their behaviour all one wants, but I suggest it might not quite work to equate the desire for genocide on the part of Muslims and the desire for simply self-survival on the part of Israel and Jews.
    In other words, complain about the Judeo-Christian God and his prophets and a Jew or a Christian might get upset with you. In contrast, simply draw a picture of the prophet of Islam and one of his followers will attempt to hand your head to you.

    Israel needs to oppose Obama’s policies while preserving its relations with its US supporters, including its Democratic supporters. Doing so will ensure that it is in a position to renew its alliance with the US immediately after Obama leaves office..
    It’s time to for Israel to point out to jews that the left is not their friend. Democrats merely take advantage of jews in the US as a voting block and pretend to stand with Israel during election cycles. Obama is just brazen is all.

The gummint is thrashing around and manipulating the stats like a goat on LSD in order to convince people that all is well . . . . . but anyone with one functioning eye and a couple of brain cells can see that it’s anything but.     “The US can’t really afford another war.” Since Nixon took the Excited States off the modified Gold standard in August 1971, the Excited States hasn’t been able to afford ANY wars . . . which fact hasn’t stopped them from waging wars anyway and just printing the $$$$$$ to pay for them. When they’re done negotiating we can look forward to the beginnings of WWIII. Obamagabe will be “Putin On The Ritz”.
    Both the AYRABS and the JOOOS are Semitic peoples. If I had to chose on one or the other to have my back, I sure know which one I’d go with. And I wouldn’t spend my time splitting hairs over someone’s use of the term “Anti-Semite”. The meaning is crystal clear.

    on another note, Barak Obama is about to be indited by the world court in the hague for the attempted murder of the Ayatollah. It appears that after he listened to Barak he nearly laughed himself to death.

    Well, that’s what he wants isn’t it?
    “International unity will collapse and the path to conflict will widen.”
    He’s done his best to destroy any “international unity” that may have existed.
    Obama discounted the idea of a military option to prevent Iran from achieving a nuclear weapon, pointing out that it would risk another war in the Middle East.
    Risk another war? How many wars have sprung up due to his efforts/incompetence?

    Yes, more delays in the implementation of Obamacare in order to delay the disastrous effects. More anti-business regulations. Billions poured into unworkable green scams, er, schemes. Billions being printed out of thin air to prop up Wall street and prevent panic, deflating currency values. Over 92 million not working. The only way they can get the unemployment rate down is to not count the millions who have given up even looking for work.
    O’s policies are quickly working; to destroy the middle class, liberty, and the future.
    Are you one of the progs Obama has sent up to screw Canada up too, or do you get your “news” from the CBC.

  14. Hey how is crashing oil prices benefiting america or Canada. its because of low oil prices that i am now on pogy. And i cant find anything, laborer jobs are not even calling me back at 15/hr when they can hire a 20 year old (im 36) to do it the same for 13/hr…..
    Alberta is officially in a recession. It will last 24-36 months. Saudi is taking care of Saudi, american fracking and OPEC not reducing its supply has lead to a glut in oil and now a recession . so yeah peak oil they said, oil will never drop below 80$/bbl they said lol .
    Watch housing starts will tank by June and Alberta will start having a net negative immigration rate. Jobs will dry up even more. yet our gov will keep piling in 240k immigrants a year to do any and all jobs.which will negatively affect the recession recovery.
    There will be a war a serious war where ? not sure. All i know is i have applied at everything from home depot to aircraft maintenance and lots of stuff in between and not even a phone call i have cold called places to see if they are hiring ….nothing called 2 places today asked about their add on kijij they said they have changed they are no longer hiring but laying people off been to the job bank, lots of job search engines applied for bob cat driver, trailer mechanic, painter, welders helper …nothing.
    I am a licensed aircraft engineer by trade. i have a solid resume. my old company viking air has layed off 25% of its workforce. the oil company i worked for cut its Canadian operations in half i was a casualty of that (this is bigger than break up numbers). So please spare me that america is in recovery and all is well . we are screwed and Alberta is in a recession. This is the first time i have ever had to apply for pogy in 24 years of working (since i was 14).
    We are in alot of trouble.

  15. Feel for you and just wanted to add that to aggravate the situation further, the oil crash has not helped the average consumer as we are still being gauged at the pumps, because they can. Economic activity will remain stagnant and a rise in the GDP will be minimal if at all. Consumers are tapped out while the price of everything continues to rise.

    When interest rates are as low as now and things are still sliding in the wrong direction, it’s a safe gamble to predict the future will be every man (and woman) for them self. Shouldn’t be too long either.

    when I was running a recycle company I wouldn’t hire anyone with more than grd 12, and focused mostly on those with grd 10 and less. What you need to learn is to orient your CV towards the work you are applying for

  17. Painting anyone who has criticisms of Israel as an ‘anti-semite’ is a grave disservice to the 6 million killed by real anti-semitism.
    It is also a de facto acknowledgment of how weak you argument is.
    It is also a transparent tactic to divert attention from the fact that it is always the right who have carried out anti-semitic actions in the past.

    1) I have used tools my entire career.
    2) My grandparents were farmers, i drove posts with grandpa and dug lots of holes.
    3) I simply stated my trade, i was not implying anything.
    4) You proved my point. Why hire me at 36 for 15$/hr when you can hire a 20 year old for 13$/hr.
    5) I pride myself on working hard and contributing to the economy, i think my skills are either overqualified, or underqualified. I have tailored my resume for 3 categories 1.My trade 2.other trades and set it for my skill set 3.For labor and unskilled work.

    America is in very bad financial shape. It is not in an economic turn-around as you claim.
    What do you think the cost of oil will be when Saudi Arabia can ship it out because of the Iranians and fracking is banned? And let’s not forget the Keystone Pipeline.
    Obama promised to meet Iran without pre-conditions in 2008. The mad theocratic state with a low birth rate, drought and enough money to fund instability in the region has the US, its former enemy and now friend in Obama, by the short hairs. Obama has alienated Israel, the only stable democracy in the region.
    Many argue this was done deliberately and many argue Obama is a moron. What it means for everyone else is economic depression and war.

    There is little if any difference in practice between fascism and socialism, but capitalism is entirely different.
    The notion that German industrialists backed Hitler has been disproved.

  26. Sorry Joe, but Peterj appears to be more correct than you. Hitler was not of the ‘right’ in anyway shape or form. His being labelled ‘right wing’ was a false construct of the left. The soviets had a lot in common with der Fuehrer. They only distrusted him because he was a threat and vic versa. Remember, they were they were signatories to a pact of cooperation at the beginning of WW2.
    The only difference between communists and fascists is that the fascist overlords allow the industrialists to hold the deed to the factories and the homeowner to keep his home. They then control everything through regulation. Sound familiar. So communists, fascist and socialists are all of the same family; all believe in high taxes and government controlled services and lots of regulation.
    Having relatives who lived through it gives one a better understanding of the actual working out of the systems than the academic with the tweed jacket and Che poster.

  28. Well said. The Stalin supporters here are still upset that fellow socialist Hitler got to Hugo Boss first to have uniforms designed.
    German industrialists actually supported the Nationalist Party, which Hitler promptly disbanded as soon as he could after 1933. He then made the industrialists an offer they could not refuse, something like Al Capone did on occasion.

It is quite remarkable that in todays “era” of information and instant access to facts and history, in light of all the money spent on education and the almost limitless amount of time available to most people (compared to that of our forebears) that there persists within our societies those that would still have us believe, in the finest traditions of hitler, goebbels and lenin that white is black and night is day.
    That hitler, stalin and mussolini were all avowed socialist and nationalist is not just alluded too in their writings but confirmed by their own words documented and recorded.
    That the words nazi and fascist hide in broad daylight and that the term “left and right” is used to encapsulate capitalism and free enterprise instead of being restricted to its original use describing the tenants of communism/socialism and that ownership by socialists of their mistakes is instead still laughably denied by what in the past would, could only be described as “court jesters or fools is surely a testament to the oxymoron that civilisation is advancing.

  32. OH boy this is a live one. The US can’t afford a war? The US Government can’t afford to operate, but it does. Obamacare is a financial impossibility, but it continues. US Government expenditures always exceed income. Etc. How does this work? Because the US essentially prints money (it is a little more subtle than that, but not much more so. See texts on the function of the US Federal Reserve system). If Canada or Germany or whatever tried to do that, the result would be investors fleeing, then hyperinflation, and then economic collapse. That doesn’t happen to the US, BECAUSE THE US DOLLAR IS THE WORLD”S RESERVE CURRENCY. Obama is a despot who can do whatever he pleases. Eventually the tab will come due, but not for several years.
    Iran is talking because it needs to? Please! But in a sense you are correct. Iran is talking in the first instance because they need TIME. Every day is a day nearer their acquisition of nuclear weapons, and their perfecting of delivery systems (which have never come up in the talks about Iranian weapons). Of course a relaxation of sanctions is also good. Probably the Americans have seen to it that the Iranian leaders have been made very wealthy. But these are all bonuses.
    The decision to make nuclear weapons is perhaps the most important a modern state can take. The Iranians have taken that decision – perhaps even back under the Shah – and have steeled themselves for the adverse consequences. They have been fairly good tacticians in availing themselves of Western stupidities and foolishness. And talking now to the most foolish Americans ever is a rather obvious tactic.

  33. Well, Jonah Goldberg wrote a book about fascism, naziism, and socialism. They are all topdown systems which brutalize their citizenries. Naziism is “National Socialism” (“Nazi” is literally a contraction of Nationalsozialistische Deutsche Arbeiterpartei (National Socialist German Workers’ Party; NSDAP).
    The National Socialists were Nazis and other parties in other countries. Barack Obama Sr. in fact advocated National Socialism, home-grown, for Kenya. The international socialists are the Communists.
