  1. Everybody now, let’s sing the Manifest Destiny: “America, our home and native land…” That was great!

  2. Only Trump
That was Americanism at it’s finest.

(Evacuation for lightning that obviously was never going to materialize was specious, Thousands remained just outside the grounds at the same level of risk (0) and had to go through security twice. Liberals are still at the levers.)
The show was incredible. If you were at a monster truck show, the Empire State Building showed up on wheels and jumped the Potomac.
    No sequence flaws.

  3. I was here for the 1976 celebration of 200 years … and that was pale milquetoast by comparison to 250. Trump’s speech, and the use of historic American flags and veterans with connections to each one was brilliant. The uplifting tone of his speech was right on. But the military band and the fireworks stole the show! Starting with the BEST rendition of Stars and Stripes Forever I’ve ever heard … there must have been 100 stringed instruments and 25 piccolos! And a fantastic arrangement.

As an aside … our USA anthems and patriotic music blows doors on the rest of the world (with a few notable exceptions) … but suffering through the National anthem of Paraguay at the last WC game today, was simply painful as they shouted words without any melody. In fact the Paraguayan anthem set the tone for their soccer team’s shameful, despicable display on the field … utterly disgusting display that disrespected the beautiful game. But our anthems are so melodic … so catchy … which cannot help but inspire our patriotic spirit.

But now … I’m getting to the STAR of the show … the tune that launched the fireworks display (thank you for posting it Kate) … Chicago’s 25 or 6 to 4. OMG. What a brilliant choice of tune to launch the bloody UNREAL fireworks display. And the band did a fantastic cover of the tune … even with a serviceable guitar solo. A tune from Chicago … America’s middle. The heartland that sadly turned dark, dark, dark blue. But it’s our middle and there are still American’s who love our country there. What a start to the display … followed by a couple NJ Bon Jovi tunes … huh? … that other NJ musicians music was ‘born to be ignored’. It was spectacular … and made me wish I were there. Wishing I was There

    1. That is such a great tune. Probably their best. And I only found out a couple years ago that the Beach Boys sang those amazing backup vocals.

Terry Kath. Gone too soon 🙁

      1. Absolutely one of my favorite tunes of all times. Great choice for this event. And yes, RIP Terry Kath.

    1. Although that’s the story, it was never about trying to write a song at 3:34 or 3:35AM, n’est-ce pas?

  4. God Bless America!

And I believe the following to be absolutely true, just as I believe that God spared both Reagan and Pope John Paul within six weeks of each other back in the spring of 1981:

“ It is impossible to review the events of the last decade and conclude that it is anything other than divine providence that Donald J. Trump is the President of the United States on the year of America 250, July 4th, 2026.” – Stephen Miller

  5. If you’re wondering how Philadelphia (where it all started of course) celebrated 250 years, well, they had a concert on the Benjamin Franklin Parkway (soon to be renamed “George Floyd Way” I bet) with a very diverse group of performers. And by diverse, I mean ……. ONLY ONE FRIGGIN WHITEY:

Christina Aguilera, Will Smith, DJ Jazzy Jeff, Jill Scott, The Roots, Seal, Wanda Sykes, State Property, Kathy Sledge, Infinity Song.

And that was about it. The communist leadership that runs the s-hole hates America and so barely lifted a finger to celebrate beyond this black as night s-show. Total missed opportunity to promote the town to the entire planet, and they chose not to. ON. PURPOSE.

  6. Orange Man Rocks.
We are blessed that a Democrat is not occupying the White House on this historic anniversary.

    1. And he is still not in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. We were there today and saw that Uncle Ted is still very low on the list of number of votes to be inducted. The HoF really is a joke but we did enjoy the visit.

  7. I wonder what it’s like to live in a country full of people who are not full of self-loathing and anti-national shame…
