Jian getting off smacking women around. Is this some of the Persian heritage bubbling to the surface. Seems that you bash women around in Iran and get away with it. Lucky for the women that this is Canada and when they complain they are not subjugated to a hanging or a stoning. Jian is saying that this is consensual and behind closed doors so it shouldn’t matter. Maybe I am just not as progressive as him, but to me beating on women, even if it is behind closed door, is still beating on women. He says they like it, but I am sure that there is literature that would point out that abused women are sometimes like this with their abusers. It also amazes me how many men of Middle Eastern heritage have zero respect for women and yet to point this out would make me an Islamaphobe in the eyes of Jiam’s many gushing CBC followers. I guess if you can do a decent interview then you should be able to get your rocks off by beating a few babes. As long as it’s in the bedroom we shouldn’t even pay attention….Justin’s daddy said so!

Like many, I’d never heard of the guy before yesterday. I had to laugh at the Post’s characterization of him as “one of the 50 most influential Torontonians”; I don’t know a single person influenced by him, or who even listens to him.
Savvy Torontonians listen to Indie 88, which breaks lots of new and local music, not the tired CBC.
In his interview with Ms Hirsi Ali, he does everything but call her a fascist,(mostly because of her job with an American Conservative action group). The interview also gives us a lot of insight into Muslim men’s sense of entitlement over women. Ms Hirsi Ali, is, nonetheless an atheist, though I think it would have upset Ghomeshi moreso if she had converted to Christianity.
This is the first time I have watched this guy (I don’t watch/listen to CBC) but it gives more credence to the comments by B.C. Judge, Les Bewley, who once said that most women didn’t aquire any brains until they turned 30. Personally, I would stand on a bus rather than sit next to this tramp. This guy is in his late 40’s, but I suspect most of these women were under 30!
