What loss of sea ice is he talking about? Last year was one of the worst years for Arctic ice, Resolute Bay was icebound for weeks later than usual and this year is shaping up to be worse.
Not one of the climate scientists in the article mentioned the sun. What type of scientist ignores the biggest variable in the equation?
Mikey Mann , one of the founding fathers of the special child known as ‘climate change/global warming’, also says:

The man is consistent. His tree-ring research was very misleading,likely deliberately, and his statement here is also a few facts short of the truth. I’m sure he knows that also.
But, ‘in for a penny,in for a pound’.
Why can’t climate scientists admit they are just glorified weather men with about the same accuracy ? The one book that encompasses most of them could easily be called “Wrong for 50 years but still trying”.

Surface temps have not risen and have cooled for about 17+ years.
Now them’s just a few of the inconvenient truths.
Meanwhile, back in the real world, oil exploration and the construction of semisubmersibles speeds up. The stepdaughter’s partner tells me that several semis are under construction in Korea, for a billion a pop, which could put the previous generation in their moon pools.
On land, say Alberta, wells are now drilled so fast that it is difficult to keep up with the paperwork.
On a slightly different tack, during a recent week in central Tennessee, I realized that the Southerners are simply not
going to give up three things: their guns, their SUVs, and their air conditioning. Forget about it. The last two of course
use plenty of fuel.
The comment section of the guardian is such a honeypot for communists. They must have every ‘climate scientist’ posting on that article to shout down any comment to the contrary.
these scientists are nuts. computer models based on what inputs? carbon based organisms that exhale CO2, living on a carbon based planet in a universe full of carbon, and they think carbon is the enemy. it just does not get any funnier than that.

Scratch an arrogant, condescending climate “scientist” and discover a communist who seeks to subvert democracy, envisioning himself as an autocrat. Democracy: that now-old idea that the people know best and through liberty will seek self-education, self-improvement and keen judgement of character. None of them ever talk about the return to the ice age predicted in the 70’s. Models can’t even predict the weather in 5 days but pretend to predict the climate in 50 years.
The minute they say “everything’s OK” the funding would stop, so I can understand it from their point of view. It’s not like these people can switch vocation since the demand for snake oil is rather limited. In the real world they would actually have to produce something. They have no choice but to keep this scam going. No panic……no job.
