Why this blog?
Until this moment I have been forced to listen while media and politicians alike have told me "what Canadians think". In all that time they never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

Wonder how these tards would react to a rifle range in a suburb with no backstops
Been there, done that. Proof that society can function without the nanny state’s regulations.
No traffic lights; no stop or yield signs; no pedestrian sign; no police cars; no accidents. I’m duly impressed.
I bet you more traffic and pedestrians flow through there than our shitty way in Canada, as well I bet there is less accidents car/car and car/pedestrian ….by far, compared to Canada,Britain, america&austrailia combined!! If someone feels up to it look up the stats and post them if there are any.
LOL do the same time lapse in a major intersection in Canada. No way you could record that long with no accidents.
It’s a Libertarian utopia!
Pretty impressive. Amazing how well society can function when there are no lawyers involved.
I watched it on you-tube.
There you can slow it down to .25 which, judging by the pedestrians walking outside the traffic circus, is probably close to real time recording.
It is even more impressive.
I’ve experienced something like this in Cairo, maybe 15 years back.
A major intersection, with a light that not a single driver paid attention to. Traffic would flow on one road, while on the cross-road, traffic would continue to build up. Slowly, slowly cars on the cross-road would edge out into traffic, and at some point they would reach a critical mass. The moving traffic would suddenly come to a halt, and the cross-traffic would begin running through… until the stopped vehicles on the other road reached their own critical mass and were able to surge on their way. This went on all day long and well into the night, and only rarely was there anything like a traffic-stopping accident; the worst was usually a little bumping together in the bunched-up cars waiting to get through.
It was simply amazing to watch.
ahhh, just try driving in some places in queerbeck.
and I’ll bet none of those in the vid has “car insurance”
Bankrupt Ontario in 15 years.
We DON”T need no stinking traffic lights after all!
I love traffic lights that are still operating at three o’clock in the morning when there’s no traffic. And the politicians who put them there for a vote pretend they’re worried about the gas guzzlers pumping pollution into the air. Same with useless stop signs every third street. Talk about stop and go pollution.
Ethiopia has 3874 traffic deaths per year per 100,000 cars. The sixth highest in the world. Although it is ay better than Central African Republic at nearly 14,000 per 100,000 cars. Although in their defence they ony had 644 fatalities the last year anyone counted. By comparison, Canada has 9.3 traffic deaths per 100,000 cars. So in Ethiopian traffic which people here are cheering, you are 40 times more likely to be killed (per 100,000 cars) than you are in Canada. Stats from Wikipedia.
I remember reading about a dutch intersection that was known to be super dangerous, they had lights, lines on the roadway, signs, etc…
Eventually a traffic engineer bulldozed the entire intersection, put in a traffic circle, and 1 sign : “Yield. heavy traffic. Pedestrians.” Since then its the safest intersection in town.
Meet Calgary’s new proposition on removing traffic lights to become a more greener city.
They don’t time the lights here because they would get less tickets handed out from frustrated drivers by the police. Its a fiddle.
