I sure don’t know. But when President Obama reads about it in the papers he’ll be as surprised and angry about it as we are. And I’m sure he won’t rest until we get to the bottom of this and folks are held to account.

If there is a man who lies with a male as those who lie with a woman, both of them have committed a detestable act; they shall surely be put to death. Their bloodguiltiness is upon them.
In the back and forth comments that followed, Esk was asked by another Facebook user, “So, just to be clear, you think we should execute homosexuals (presumably by stoning)?”
“I think we would be totally in the right to do it,“ Scott Esk replies. “That goes against some parts of libertarianism, I realize, and I’m largely libertarian, but ignoring as a nation things that are worthy of death is very remiss.”

Iran now going into Iraq. Sunni’s versus the Shia’s

There seems to be a big disconnect with this news from Iraq. The Shittes are over 60% of the population. The Sunnis are about 25%. At the time the USA pulled out it was feared that the Sunnis would be exterminated. Now they are winning the country back?
I expect the Kurds are smiling as they solidify their control over the oil fields in their area and slightly to the south. They must be buying and storing weapons on a huge scale as eventually whoever controls Bagdad will come after them as well.
I must conclude that it is the Saudis who are financing and encouraging the Sunni rebels in Syria and Iraq. It is their history to deflect radical Islam from their own country in this way. Perhaps a ‘darker’ perspective is that the leadership of Saudi Arabia is not ideologically separate from radical Islam and that this is a much larger government backed effort. 9/11 was masterminded and conducted by Saudis and yet that country got a ‘pass’ from any responsibility.
Saddam Hussein was passed as a apolitical Bathist but came from a Sunni background. At the end he was praying like all others. IMHO the USA backed the wrong dog in this fight. Iran is the better ally, strategically and morally. If
the Shah had handled things better things might have been different. Iran has never invaded any neighbours nor has it exported radical Islam. This all the work of Saudi backed Sunnis.
