SDA reader Duke wrote yesterday: “While I hope I am truly wrong, I can’t help but get the feeling that the stupid here in Ontario is just overwhelming and the Liberals will slither back in. Perhaps it may be appropriate to have Gordon Lightfoot on standby to play Alberta Bound.”
Good call.
Hopefully Liberal/NDP supporters from the rest of the country will now relocate to Upper Canada, where the streets are paved with jobs.

  11. Hudak’s loss is Harper’s gain. While I am sorry to see such a definitive loss in Ontario, I also think that had Hudak won, a strategy of painful cuts would have had a negative impact on Harper in 2016. Ontario provincial governments and federal governments typically are held by different parties. Good- bye shiny pony. It’s not much, but it’s something.

    A message to all the Conservatives who hoped for a Hudak win.
    Never judge a prayer by the answer. Just remember that the Libs have to clean up the mess–most of which they created. And if you happen to live in Alberta and Saskatchewan, just watch the U-hauls on the Trans-Canada next spring.

  23. I just told my son tonight that he should sell all he owns and move to Alberta. He owns two businesses and three houses and is self sufficient. If he goes I will too, even though I’m 78.

    Topical today, as it’s become widely known in the past couple of days that those terrorists outside of the American Embassy were using stolen US State Dept. cellular phones, the drone that was overhead Benghazi that night and monitoring the situation would have been able to monitor those calls, and relay them to the State Dept. in real time, as B.   44. The same reason that Canada cannot produce in any significant quantity quality baseball, football, and basketball players.
    The bottom line is, amateur sports in Canada are not designed, nor are they adequate to produce elite level athletes in any of the aforementioned sports… including soccer.
    We have not the expertise, the facilities, nor the desire on the individual level to produce elite athletes at any major sport except for hockey.
    I’ve been living in Arizona for 3 years and it’s become obvious, relatively speaking, that Canadians are not willing to make the financial investment at the government and individual level to compete in the important sports.
    We will NEVER be competitive at ANY of the important sports consistently.
