  1. They say bad news travels fast, but that report mentions the Russians released the Greenpeace vandals who boarded one of their rigs last September. Nobody told me they’d been let out.

  2. This looks more like a Staged event in which Green Peace WINS..
Norway citizens are creatures of Brussels UN/EU interbreeding

  3. No word on them protesting Saudi Arabia or Nigeria, of course.
Wonder how Norway is going to pay for all that super socialist health care the greenies keep bragging about when they take the money that funds it all away.

  4. No problem. They’ll just raise taxes, make the rich pay their fair share, etc., etc.

  5. Being half Norwegian I have to say they loved the German Nazis. Seems they just turned to another form of Fascism called socialism.
Which will be useful once these Nordic folks are subdued more than they are now by Islam. A perfect match.

  6. wait till russia decides to drill in Canadian arctic waters. It will happen. China has been emboldened to drill in Vietnamese, Philipines, & Indonesian waters.
The Russians have been emboldened by their “success in Crimea” and the lasck of western resolve when it comes to Eastern Ukraine — BTW it is Russian GRU (Military KGB/intelligence units that have been operating in eastern Ukraine for the last 2 months) — funny how the west kind of shluffs this off. The weaponry the spetznatz units operating in Ukraine from Russia has is not available to any joe-blow. Aka Armoured trucks, anti-aircraft missles, AK-100 assault rifles, anti-tank missles that are onlt available to Russian military — bad enough these pricks openly admit they are Russian citizens, internet detectives have found photos of many prominant “separatists” as being working for the Russian Government in South Ossetia & Abkhazia in Georgia in 2008.
Europe has no resolve & France will even deliver two LHD amphibious assault carriers (Mistral Class) to Russia — one purpose only to do amphibious invasions of remote countries.
The Americans are into a new phase of isolationalism with red-lines that mean nothing.
So wait till Trudeau gets into power and their position 2 years ago that it was rediculous that Russian bombers were a threat penetrating Canadian airspace. I hear no apology from the Liberals.
Canadian arctic sovereignty is at threat.
We need those arctic class vessels to hunt russian submarines.
we also need an upgraded air force — not saying necessarily F-35’s but we need something to defend Canadian airspace.

  7. Don’t worry Gerry;
The Ukranians, Germans, French, Brits and of course the Americans will all come to save our north from the encroaching Ruskies! Well, maybe we have to strike the Yanks off that list as they have their own claims on our lands there.
We really do not have any allies in the North other than possibly the Chinese who might use us as a proxy to gain access to whatever is there. IMHO Canada should be far more bottom line about staying home and establishing a far bigger presence in the North. It is a absolute joke that there is not even a start on the icebreaker promised 8 years ago. New 303’s for the Eskimo home defense core doesn’t cut it in the real world.

  8. CT “New 303’s for the Eskimo home defense core doesn’t cut it in the real world.”
In the real world, the Canadian Rangers are less than useless. They must be cheap because they aren’t trained as soldiers. I guess Canada gets to claim a military presence in the North.

  9. Historically, the most effective method in dealing with piracy involves a yardarm and a stout rope around the neck.
I suggest it’s time the civilized world bring back this tradition.

  10. Don’t worry Gerry. As far as the GTA goes, all the feds have to do is promise patrols on the north as on North Bay. Besides GTA, most of Canada is ignorant of just how much of Canada is actually north of 60. The northern most part of Canada is actually closer to Moscow than Ottawa.
During my military career I’ve had the privilege of spending time up there and appreciate Canada all the more.
Faced an arctic wolf, fed an arctic fox,and drank at Cinzano Beach.

  11. The Greenpeace ship, Esperanza, it’s powered by solar or nuclear? Because cruising to the Arctic in an oil powered ship to protest oil drilling seems a little…. well, let’s just presume the hull is made of irony.

  12. Why is the criminal organization Greenpeace not treated like the criminal organization it is?

  13. Well, judged by results, Norways healthcare is superior, although having worked in healthcare for many years I have no idea what socialist healthcare is. Its not something that actually has any health care economics meaning.
As for how its paid for… well no through oil. Norway hasn’t actually used any of the oil money for decades, its all invested in stocks. Norway own 1-2 % of all publically listed stocks in the world. Like Sweden, Finland, and Denmark all the benefits are financed off the normal economy.
And the health care systems cost about half of what the US system does per person. For much better results. Fun fact -government health care in America covering 28 % of the population, costs more per taxpayer than all but two other nations pay per taxpayer to cover 100%!
Neither republicans nor democrats particularly want you to know that.
