A computer graphic warning that al-Qaida will return soon to New York City has been posted on an internet site linked to the terror organization, and the NYPD and FBI say they are investigating.
The graphic was posted on a radical overseas website and shows the city skyline and reads: “Al Qaeda Coming Soon Again in New York.”

But Wildrose was supposed to be the new voice of fiscal sanity.

Obama has, for the second day in a row, challenged the Supreme Court about His Health Care Act.
Yesterday he denigrated their not being elected and warned them not to overturn any decision made by Congress, which is charmed by its being elected. Of course, Obama neglected to state that the SC’s not being elected is a deliberate choice to prevent emotionalist decision-making – and- Congress only passed the bill by the Democrats alone and because of strong backroom deals with the D. He used a different public venue (yesterday it was at a meeting of the leaders of Mexico and Canada) – today it was a meeting with newspaper executives on the budget. He declared that the SC can’t make its own decisions, that it must acknowledge the superior Will of Congress.
I’m beginning to suspect that Obama has been leaked the decision and is publicly working to create a hysteric public against the SC’s possibly negative decision.

Too true. Every year, beginning at about this time, the ducks in the marina (Vancouver area) where I moor my boat start emerging with perhaps 12 or 14 baby ducklings swimming around the boats. The adult ducks are very used to us humans, we have co-existed for years. I have even often had a bunch of male ducks perch onto my boat, waddle into the cockpit, and “chill out” with me. Personally, I find it delightful…a few special moments.
But…50 yards across the water, there are tall trees with two bald eagle nests. They have also been there for years. As the weeks go by, the number of baby ducklings swimming with “Mom” tend to be reduced, sometimes to a point where there are only one or two babies left. Just as the rabbit population that one sees in the grassy area around the marina diminishes.
It’s sad…but that’s nature.
My young grandson had a problem with this, understandably, because both the ducklings and rabbits were pretty high on the “cuteness scale”.
But he’s a smart kid, and accepted my explanation that eagles have to eat as well.

But Wildrose was supposed to be the new voice of fiscal sanity.
Let’s see if I have this straight. Sending Alberta families cheques backed by the real credit of Alberta is vote-buying and fiscal insanity. Sending the same money to Toronto (via Ottawa) so Dalton McGuinty doesn’t have to pay for the free stuff the Grits hand out to Third World scum to keep them from rioting? That’s Canadian federalism.
Much the same way, I suppose, that it’s perfectly acceptable to print “funny money” not backed by anything if the money is going to bail out insolvent banks. Remember folks—to the Toronto press, the best policy is whichever most efficiently lines the pockets of Bay Street parasites.

Obama has, for the second day in a row, challenged the Supreme Court about His Health Care Act.
Yesterday he denigrated their not being elected and warned them not to overturn any decision made by Congress, which is charmed by its being elected. Of course, Obama neglected to state that the SC’s not being elected is a deliberate choice to prevent emotionalist decision-making – and- Congress only passed the bill by the Democrats alone and because of strong backroom deals with the D. Senators for kickbacks and state benefits.
Today, Obama has again openly confronted the SC. He used a different public venue (yesterday it was at a meeting of the leaders of Mexico and Canada) – today it was a meeting with newspaper executives on the budget. He declared that the SC can’t make its own decisions, that it must acknowledge the superior Will of Congress.
I’m beginning to suspect that Obama has been leaked the decision and is publicly working to create a hysteric public against the SC’s possibly negative decision.

A ESL teacher friend of mine passed this note onto me today:
“I have to admit I’ve not had a student treat me so disrespectfully for a long time and betrayed by the management of this ESL facility.
Unfortunately the facility I train gives Muslim students liberties other students don’t have – like going anytime to prayer.
Initially the director of the school told me the students could wait for prayer until 3pm, which led me to believe they were to stay in class until 3pm. I mean ‘until’ usually means until.
Here I find out today that is not the case, they can leave at any time. (By the way I found out the director is a professing Muslim as well).
One student treated me like dirt and left the class when I assigned him to work with another student. I informed him he could wait till 3pm, and according to their ‘religion’ this was fine.
The other Muslim student in class made the decision to respect my request to wait until 3 pm before he goes to pray but not this one.
The director told me to accommodate this student.
We’ve also been told in no uncertain terms we cannot talk about the real Reason for Easter – which to me is a major discrimination against those who believe in the truth of Easter!
But they will have an Easter egg hunt, go figure.

Too true. Every year, beginning at about this time, the ducks in the marina (Vancouver area) where I moor my boat start emerging with perhaps 12 or 14 baby ducklings swimming around the boats. The adult ducks are very used to us humans, we have co-existed for years. I have even often had a bunch of male ducks perch onto my boat, waddle into the cockpit, and “chill out” with me. Personally, I find it delightful…a few special moments.
But…50 yards across the water, there are tall trees with two bald eagle nests. They have also been there for years. As the weeks go by, the number of baby ducklings swimming with “Mom” tend to be reduced, sometimes to a point where there are only one or two babies left. Just as the rabbit population that one sees in the grassy area around the marina diminishes.
It’s sad…but that’s nature.
My young grandson had a problem with this, understandably, because both the ducklings and rabbits were pretty high on the “cuteness scale”.
But he’s a smart kid, and accepted my explanation that eagles have to eat as well.
