Why this blog?
Until this moment I have been forced to listen while media and politicians alike have told me "what Canadians think". In all that time they never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

Balanced.
In fact I have not spent allot of time with Quebecois as an Albertan, but I have spent allot of time with indigenous Frenchmen working for years in Algeria. I have a lot of respect for them, albeit the majority were blue collar mixed with a few professionals. They worked hard, complained little, and had an errie common sense about them that was out of touch with our own but uniquely accurate when viewed from a different angle.
I dig at the whiners and “give me” crowd of any ilk. Black, white, brown, aboriginal, Islamic……..whoever they may be, I’m not prejudice in disliking anyone who want’s something for nothing from me.
Best comment to my book Banging French Women:
Yawn, not living up to the hype by a mile.
No one seems to have noticed. This soft core porn from France is designed for women.
If it is available free on a French website…well maybe we could just have a few links on the Radio Canada/CBC website and save taxpayers a Billion dollars.
Windigo of Quebec >
“…you can get this soap opera porn directly on the producer’s website in France”
Yea, you mind backing up that damning statement up with a link, so that we can verify Mr. Smarty pants?
Many thanks to the TwitterSphere. The lineup will soon include:
Mr. Dressup.
Fornication Street.
The Nature of Thongs w/David Suzuki.
The REALLY Friendly Giant.
This Orgasm Has 22 Minutes.
Humans like to bone. Get over it.
Yes, most humans like having sex, but it’s a voyeuristic pervert who enjoys watching others do it.
Why are we paying for smut? Are there really that many people who can’t get a girlfriend/boyfriend/spouse?
Schmautus, lol!
I’m curious to hear what the feminists have to say about this. This will put them between a rock and a hard place (yuk, yuk). But I’ll bet they’ll either avoid the issue or support the CBC with some verbal gymnastics.
This is nothing new on the froggish CBC channels. I recall being somewhat surprised, when my parents finally got a TV in 1966 or so, seeing nude women in French on CBC in B&W. My mother wasn’t too happy with my watching it. When I lived in Ottawa, the reaction of students from Quebec to les-Anglais was that they were a prudish lot unlike the sexually liberated Quebequois. And of course the advent of oral contraception dispensed with the use of condoms. To get uncut p**no movies one would have to go to Hull whereas the same movies in Ontario would be censored to a length of 5 minutes.
Quebec is a different culture but I refuse to pay for it. As far as pron goes, the internet is already saturated with the work of amateur couples and to pay tax money for it is ludicrous. I think using taxpayer dollars to fund a state broadcaster is unacceptable. If you want to watch sex on TV, pay for the privilege, or better yet practice with a partner.
So, this Sun TV discovery is nothing new and to me the greater outrage is that I’m paying for the CBC at all. The only thing I haven’t figured out is why the “prudish” Anglais have so many more babies than the “sexually liberated” Quebequois?
