    It’s already here in the push for ‘assisted suicide’…you can see how this cultural artifact would be interpreted, family dishonour is a life not worthy of living!

  11. Who am I to criticize Turks for killing their daughters? Just don’t do it here. Here we prefer our girls a little trashy. Perhaps immigrant selection people should educate those who would kill their daughter for wearing makeup or talking to a man.

  15. $5 they get a total of 10 months – with 5 taken off for the time this took to get to court, then another 3 off for good behaviour (they are muslims ya know) and then another 2 months off because of the bad publicity the court would get from HRC complaints.

  18. The Safia trial, about the 3 daughters and 1st wife, who were murdered is a wake-up call.
    Given the high rate of Muslim immigration this is a problem the government imported. Will they mandate doctors check young Muslim girls for Female Genital Mutilation? Or even specifically outlaw it?
    Will Muslims be asked to accept Canadian laws and values as being above Sharia law before being granted citizenship or even landed immigrant status. Don’t hold your breath.
    Meanwhile, there are millions of Coptic Christians who will soon need to flee Egypt as Iragi Christians have had to do.

  26. I watched cbc this morning between 5 a.m and 5.30,while I was preparing myself for that thing that keeps me from occupying public parks.
    The skinny thing with the bad wig was interviewing an ‘imam’ from Kingston . She continually called the murders in Kington”so-called honour killings”.
    They were discussing ‘honour killings’and using the murders of the ‘bad women’ as a reference point,yet she would not say ‘honour killings’ without the disclaimer,”so-called”.
    A so-called billion dollars doesn’t get you much these days.

    The fact that a ‘leader’ comes up with this crap,and is denounced,illustrates the grade school mentality of the whole religion.
