I’m not interested in what a small and non-representative group of liberal academics BELIEVE. I know you all trusted the United Nations to deliver truthful reports about the science of climate change, and you were fooled. With your careers (and probably political ideologies) now at risk, you will be among the last, not the first, to abandon a disproven scientific theory.
I want to see PROOF that climate models are reliable guides to future climate trends, since surveys of climate scientists suggest large majorities of them believe they are NOT. I want PROOF that the warming of the late 20th century didn’t stop around 2000, even though NASA’s satellites say it did. And I want PROOF that there is anything we can do, short of simply ending modern civilization and forcing billions of people to starve to death, that would have any discernible effect on the world’s climate.
Give me that evidence, and I’ll take you seriously. Otherwise, stick to science, and leave the politics to us.

Once again “big” media is not covering this. Including supposedly conservative Sun News Network. Aside from passing mention by the opinion folks, the hard news division will likely not report anything that would upset their J school masters. Sun News is only marginally less liberal than the rest. Sun News is slowly swinging left. Lets see if they fire Sid Ryan for assaulting Delaney. Not likely.

UN Environment Chief Achim Steiner pressuring Durban participants to come up with a deal sooner rather than 2020. I believe he is concerned that the money scam he and his pals, Al Gore, Dr. Fruitfly et al have perpetrated may be coming to an end.
Proofs are for mathematics. What Bast wants is strong evidence.

rabbit, I think Bast wants ANY evidence, because there certainly doesn’t seem to be any. There is however a lot of scientific vandalism and data fudging. As in, we have two functional weather stations in the North? WTH?
If just a few politicians here in Canada would grow a set like Nigel Farrage or Daniel Hannan/ Vaclav Klaus teal, call this massive SCAM what it is,a SCAM. the current methods used to “measure” temperatures is a joke, as they may only be indicating energy (in the form of heat) moving from one place to the next. I’v always been critical of the deighn of the methods used, and this flaw is starting to be pointed out by more leaned peoples than me

Actually, climate change is a constant. The warm-mongers just adopted it to create a mass hysteria, since most of the population does not, will not take note of the difference between AGW and CC.
The assumption is that CC is AGW. A 100% wrong assumption.
There is no AGW, there is climate change as constant as night and day, as year after year and other such.
The real Scientists have to stand up and demand that the Science Journalists (like Hollywood screen writers) get out of Science. The Scientific America Magazine is near the worst.
The whole Green House Gas theory sits on a facade of unknown, unproven, and unmeasured (the measurements can’t be confirmed by traceable data). The UN/EU science game started with the ozone hole another outrages scientific claim without sufficient Scientific Proof.
When you make claims of a scientific theory that has extraordinary impact on Society and human well being; That Science demands an extraordinary level of proof. Time to put up everything of AGW or nothing.
The pll behind AGW are not Scientists, they have meaningless PhD’s.. (It’s the Puppy Mill Equivalent)

But every decade needs a new panic that the gullible can latch onto. 70s was new ice age. 80s was the hole in the ozone. 90s was the dying oceans. 2000s was global warming. We are overdue here folks. Perhaps the 2010s will be the real one and make the other ones look trivial and insignificant. The monetary one. The one that will take the wind out of every cause except the one that pertains to survival. The one that shows what a toothless bitch nanny can be. The one that will give us a whole new sense of reality and allow you to ride a bicycle without a helmet. The one that resets what is important in life.

I think this guy is epressing what most of us jaded realists have waited for from climate alarmists – proof there is a problem and if it is real, proof it can actually be corrected by man.
The screaming hyteria and political noise surrounding AGW/climate change legislating, reminds me of the same hysterics and accusatory politics with dissenters that ensued 18 years ago when the government offered registering duck guns as a cure to domestic violence and crime.
We’ve been screwed over so many times by political agendas driven by hysteria and fear mongering that being cynical is a matter of survivsl in such politically charged times. I usually question the logic of those who aren’t cynical of the latest meme pimped by the political elite.

In order to prove unnatural climate change one first has to prove natural climate stasis. If there is no natural climate stasis then no one can definitively say that unnatural climate change is taking place.
