  1. If Heather’s forehead was any higher I’d think it must be smoking pot.
But it’s the back hair that bother’s heather …. no see-through blouses dear.

  2. Can you finish this sentence for Heather, please?
“My ideal writing clothes would be a…

  3. Okay, I couldn’t stomach more than two lines of any of the wretched drivel that woman writes. But, am I correct in reading that she is mocking a solemn and sacred tradition of the Blackfoot People. When PMSH visited the Blood Reserve, he was given this honour. I guess Mallick doesn’t care for these “savages” and their primitive back-wood ways. Except if they did it for Saint turdo maybe.

  4. Sarah Palin and Michelle Bachmann will always be two beautiful women. Heather Mallick will always be ugly. Mallick’s screed was fueled by nothing other than her jealousy of these two non-ugly women. Mallick probably finds her jeans restricting because she doesn’t have the figure to pull it off.

  5. I want my 20 seconds of life back for reading that useless piece of garbage. What a waste of ink and paper.

  6. Yeah well, I agree about Malice’ spouse..self inflicted wounds…maybe he escaped….
Ugly, like beauty, can go beyond skin deep…even to the bone.
    I doubt she has a dog……

  7. The Star should apologize the next day for EVERY thing Ms. malice writes, just on principal.

  8. I think Ms Malice is responding in kind to an article I saw on the web a few days ago which was a very catty comment on the clothing choices of Michelle Bachmann.
As for the picture of PM Harper I can only say that we humans always dress funny when we are bestowing honours upon ourselves. The robe and mortar board hat that academics love to wear at their convocations is just one example.

  9. Haha…kudos to miss malick for a well thought out piece that will appeal to her target left wing audience. She certainly has a knack for knowing what is (or isn’t) on their minds.

  10. Yep, Heather Mallick — the Toronto Star’s “beauty queen” — who looks like a bulldozer inadvertantly ran over her face (or maybe the bulldozer driver did it deliberately, who am I to judge?) — is now a self-appointed expert of haute couture as well as political science.

  11. The ugly ones always lash out at those who were born beautiful.
Then again when you are born ugly, have a sack of bile for a personality, and mentally are a couple of hammers short of a dumb bag full, you lash out a lot.
A perfect fit with the Toronto Star.
Does anyone know if she was a VIP at the Jack Layton/NDP political rally on Saturday?
    Her crew.

  12. Too Givenchy for her comrades at the Toronto Star, and too stupid to be employed anywhere else.
    Woe is the champagne socialist.

I don’t like Heather Malick, but I am going to defend her here. The newspapers are 85% drivel. I read them day after day and realize afterwards that it is a mindless kind of entertainment. I think Malick is somewhat better at this silly insouciant type of column then when she goes on the attack. In attack mode she goes overboard and loses and sense of perspective. But I think the dress column was marginally entertaining — at least as much as most of the 85% drivel.

  14. Sarah and Michelle could run around naked and H Malice would still find something to screech about.
Why do they pay to print such garbage?
Worthless, both Heather And the paper printing such trash.
WHO still pays for this paper?

  15. I’ll say what I often say to people who don’t like a politician (I realize she’s not a politician) because of the way they look. “Close your eyes and actually listen to what they say and how they say it”. THAT is what matters. Think Margaret Thatcher.
Like a lot of voters (and it seems to me from personal experience that this applies more to female voters – sorry ladies…) good ole’ Heather mistakes substance for frivolity.
Also, with respect to her cheap shot about vote subsidies from an earlier date – I must have missed that article – she apparently doesn’t remember that it was JC himself (Chretien, not the important JC) that instituted the concept in the first place. Why? Because they had a massive majority and it served them well to do so. Now that Harper has the majority, it can only hurt the party coffers to eliminate the program. And Harper is the bad guy. I’m not seeing the logic here but then again, we are talking about a Star article by a Star journalist…..

  16. That is a good reminder as to why I can’t even force myself to read the ‘free’ Toronto Star piled at the hotel front desk.

  17. I’d be a little uncomfortable wearing Indian warpaint & feathers with a few million people looking on too. But that’s just me.

  18. Finally, Mallick writes about a subject in which she has some small degree of competence.

  19. gordinkneehill – Finally, Mallick writes about a subject in which she has some small degree of competence.
    Nope. She describes a dress:
“…long enough that you can fall asleep on airplanes and not wake up with it wrapped around your neck.”
This doesn’t happen. Clothes don’t work like this. Furthermore, anyone who wears nice cloths on a plane – especially if they plan to sleep no less – well, it’s daft.
    She’s an idiot.

  20. Ms. Mallice should probably move to Quebec where here incompetence will be protected by having the designation QUIPD (Quebec Union Instructed Professional Dummy)

  21. No wonder Mallik is bitter, she is buying conservative clothes, instead of those liberal-left-toga-style-easy-off-easy-on types.
I personally believe she is lying! Again!!!

  22. Wonder if those feathers came from an eagle knocked down by a windmill?
Heather Mallick, as usual not worth reading.

  23. Where’s that picture of Layton in full trekkie garb again? I agree, however, that Mr. Harper looks ridiculous and no one should have to wear ethnic clothing to prove anything or to get elected.

  24. “…because Canadians have always valued their distinctiveness from the ANGRY country in decline south of the border.”
We decliners down here would suspect a little (ahem)projection, dear!
