    1. I wonder where they’re going to get the energy to run the steel mill from. There was no announcement regarding increasing energy supplies.

BTW, the article is right about Canada, we should be following suit.

  1. The Duke Lacrosse Team “Rape” story all over again.

    http://www.breitbart.com/entertainment/2026/09/29/the-view-co-host-sunny-hostin-says-press-reporting-cornell-gang-rape-case-inaccurately-she-consented-to-the-sexual-activity/

with a different twist … this ‘victim’ is coming after their money. She’s suing in Civil, not Criminal court. Why? Because the DA has already dismissed her ludicrous claims. The woman was a willing participant. But now she is looking for a $payday$.

Allow me to compare this to the “thousands” of Epstein “Victims” who have all become wealthy by suing and threatening Civil actions. But not a single Criminal case against ANY of the actual perps … actual ‘rich, powerful, and connected’ “rapists”. Not a single one. Blah, blah, blah … “trafficking” … yet not a single case of actual fkcuing. None.

The “Victims” don’t care. They got PAID. We have a word for that.

  2. 25-minute video about the most suppressed books:

    23:13 Atlantis, Edda, & Bible
24:27 The Catcher in the Rye

    1. I looked over that list again and relaized I’ve never read any of them. Sure, I knew certain stories from the bible and read certain passages but that was it. Moviewise I’ve seen Fahrenheit 451 and All Quiet on the Western Front.

      1. As a small boy in the late 1950s I read a well-thumbed paperback of Lady Chatterley’s Lover, passed to me by an older boy next door. Two others on the list were required reading in our high school (in a conservative Republican district).

  3. From a criminally underrated lp that deserves rediscovery … Future Games, Fleetwood Mac Another 1971 gem of music that I would describe as the most cohesive FM prior to their move to LA. It features the very first contributions of Christine McVie and my personal favorite FM guitarist, Danny Kirwin. Half of the guitar work credited to Peter Green was actually played by Kirwin … but his natural inclination wasn’t for pure Brit Blues, but gentler, more ethereal melodies. I love his style and feeling. Yeah, because it’s a bit hippy-dippy melodic psychedelic rock.

This is an lp that sets a mood for the post-60’s era. I’d call it Prog. Psych. Rock. If you listen to the full lp all the way through … you’ll immediately want to replay it again, to recreate the mellow mood it puts you into.

      1. The image on the front cover was photographed by Mick Fleetwood’s sister, Sally.

I would argue the lp is a thematic collection of songs about time … and our place in that time. Yeah, the cover image cemented that theme as we young adults were working out our leap from childhood to adulthood … and then beyond. Already reminiscing of our innocent, fun, childhood.

My absolute favorite Danny Kirwin tune … Sands of Time

      2. I believe the reason why Sands of Time (and the title track Future Games) resonates with me is because
        a) this was a totally unique sound for that era. Something no one else was doing. Uniquely Fleetwood Mac. And that’s down to Danny Kirwin and Christine McVie. and
        b) it was so similar to The Grateful Dead’s Jam music … long ethereal guitar works that sets a melancholy mood. Just a long groove.

        For example …

    1. My initial take on this? Israeli citizens all are mandated to provide military service. They’re all trained … seriously trained … to sacrifice themselves if necessary to save others. Trained in hand-to-hand … hand-to-knife fighting. A certain religion uses knives to kill infidels and Israelis …

This was the Nor. Cal rugby players … “let’s roll” … with a much better outcome. Same bravery.

Behold REAL bravery. Unlike yesterdays story about cowardly responses to mass transit mayhem

      1. see, that’s the thing kj. trained. permitted and expected to intervene. also if they *dont* the plane augers in aaaaaaaand they. all. die.
not the transit situation. sumbuddy’s bf cheating? etc.

  5. Here is an odd question for some of the wiser heads here, Trump could get the trade deal he wants with Canada simply by buying Carney, so why doesn’t he? We all know that Carney is for sale, a few lucrative contracts to Brookfield wouldn’t be that hard to arrange. So what does Trump gain by prolonging the spat between Canada and the US?
