Why this blog?
Until this moment I have been forced to listen while media and politicians alike have told me "what Canadians think". In all that time they never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

Will the Canadian dollar fall below $0.70 this week?
I’ll haul out the Ouija board but all bets are it will point to YES.
I checked tonight and the transfer is at US$0.6972 at my bank
XE is offering $0.7042, with a $7 fee and 3 days to transfer
Canada is MAIDing itself in more ways than I can count. Economically, culturally, physically. I honestly feel bad for your supermajority nation of leftist fools. In the same way I weep for what CA used to be … when it was inhabited by 4th generation Californians such as myself.
You meant White English speaking Christians, right?
Yeah … them.
L – It turns out that a large percentage of Canadians are easily hypnotized. Eastern Canada, thinks they’ve been transported back to the early 19th Century and are fighting the War of 1812.
Mass Formation Psychosis and they are snow-blind, too.
On the upside, P.M. Mark Carney may turn out to be the biggest asset for Alberta and Saskatchewan Independence !
In the same way Biden’s intentional incompetence guaranteed Trump’s second term.
Well, yes. The Canadian identity is based on being anti-American, a negative. Especially the Boomers, who are secure in their pensions, investments, and, access to cheap migrant labor to pick their cotton. They never did care about anyone but themselves, and that is not going to change. They are content. Other cohorts, not so much. The other cohorts are too caught up in survival mode.
The only fly in the ointment is the looming referendum in Alberta, and the American midterms. The Canadian colony of Alberta is downtrodden, and would make a happy Republican state if the path out from under the boot could be found. Won’t know till the referendum.
As for the midterms, indeed if the Dems triumph, Orange Man Bad and his gang will be impeached. This includes Supreme Court worthies, ICE in general, and, significant numbers of Police and Military. Maybe Orange Man Bad will do a Lincoln and invoke the Insurrection act and round up the Copperheads. Maybe.
Anyway, the Boomer regime continues, with only the soon to happen referendum and mid-terms to adjust the trajectory. Pierre Burton is rolling over in his grave.
hellooooooo. stop fostering the notion AB has to ‘rejoin’ *ANYBODY*.
it is patently false, the land mass alone exceeds probably 40 or 50 other nations.
a healthy educated demographic, MOTIVATED to do better ON THEIR OWN.
‘joining’ a-n-y-b-o-d-y else just complicates things and could scuttle the thing entirely.
“Are Canadians in Support of Their Country Committing Suicide?”
Probably? Maybe? Maybe not?
It’s hard to tell, with the media being a pack of liars the way they are. I honestly have no idea what the majority of Canadians think or want. I have to go all the way back to Covid for any genuine reading on Canada. The Freedom Convoy and the weekly anti-lockdown parades in Toronto indicated people want their freedom, but that was 4 years ago.
I think Stelco closing the rolling mill in Hamilton will have a local impact larger than the 500 guys laid off, but who can say?
Canadians won’t take notice until the stench makes them retch.
And who’s going to bravely say, you did it to yourselves?
A: their free, or imprisoned, grandchildren.
The only, but recent, hint of optimism
is reflected both in open-eyed commentors here (and around the world),
and the actions people are being forced to take in self-defense.
Ten years ago outraged citizens, totally ignorant of the cause, would exclaim in unison,
“our own government would never do that!” Today only Liberals say it,
and even they know they’re lying to themselves.
This growing trend of enlightenment, in spite of marx efforts, must continue
and because tired fighters need nourishment it’s important to encourage one another,
without letting ones guard down.
I get the sense that a certain percentage of them are basically Heaven’s Gate-rs. From the outside we can see they’re MAiDing themselves (and us), but they think they’re getting a free ride to the spaceship.
