  2. My sincere apologies people….it’s all my fault.
I was so resolute and then last week the locals got on the land, spreading manure and planting alfalfa….when some associates turned their 12 row corn planter loose and planted a hundred hectares…..I weakened and started taking my snow-fence down….I got as far a unwiring it from the posts when darkness and rain fell…turning to snow…..
I somewhat mitigated my error, however, by firing up my diesel(with 8ft snow-blower) driving it outside in full view of the weather…then parked it….the sun came out….how’s that for an anti-snow dance?…heap strong medicine….

  3. Of course God has a sense of humour.If He didn’t,we wouldn’t be,would we?
Cold and damp and grey and snowy here in the Sunny Okanagan, temperatures well below normal.
Went up to my Gun club’s rifle range today, still under two feet of snow.
    Thanks Al.

  4. Minus 10 this morning at my house in Calgary. The snow on the deck came in November and hasn’t left. I pray for global warming, because the globe’s either going to get warmer or cooler and I’m not too enamored of global cooling.

  5. Tonight on CTV Calgary, David Spence put up a chart showing several Alberta locations that set new record low temperatures overnight for April 17.
The new records broke previous record lows set in either 2006 or 2008. Kind of hints at a trend, no?
Spence also commented that Lake Waterton, in the far south-west corner of the province, froze over entirely this winter for the first time in 20 years

  6. Alberta had 16 new record low temps set Sunday night, according to CTV news in Calgary today.
Most were along the southern foothills region and they were not candyass records set either.
Most of the old records in the -5 to -8 range (and from 2006) and the new ones are in the -12C to -15C range.
The worst news is that the seeding of the magic Taber corn is behind by 2 weeks right now and it could be another disaster for the crop like last year.
    Late and poor quality.

  7. It’s earth week? I didn’t notice. How’d I miss it? They mustn’t have publicized it very well. Are the people getting to the point of having their fill of that kind of alarmisim?
It’s been colder than normal here too.

  8. Hi Global AWG has to be true. Because Charlie Manson in an interview on Drudge says it is so. He has linked up intellectually with Suzuki, Gore etc….If Charlie sez its so it must be true. Maybe he could be on the Nature of Things with Sowzuki…..The Fruit Fly Pimp. The Internationally Recognized Fruit Fly Sex Therapist.

  9. We’ve come full circle. The original Earth Day was set aside to help combat global cooling. It “worked” so well we got global warming. Now that has “worked” so well we’re back to cooling.
    Nothing new under the sun.

  10. I got my summer no 2 brushcut last week, still no blossom on my cherry trees in Vancouver

  11. Well, Charlie has enough quiet time to do an exhaustive analysis of the science. So, his conclusions must be correct. Heh, heh, heh.
Seriously, the fact that anyone would take the time to ask Charles Manson for his views on climate and actually publish them ranks right up there with the top “things-that-make-me-say-Hmmmmm”.
