Virtually everything in Working Group 3 of the various ICCC reports (the reports which look at current and future effects) is cluttered with these dodges. At least, when they’re pretending to be honest.

Nope, it’s actually AGW fanatics who “will create up to 50 million environmental refugees” by the end of THIS decade if we accept their phoney environmental solutions. Carbon trading does nothing to reduce pollution — it’s like two guys with lots of bags of undisposed garbage; one guy pays the other to take some of the garbage off his hands but neither does anything to dispose of it. No matter how many times the garbage trades hands the total of bags of garbage remains the same.
Plus these supposed lovers of the Gaia hypothesis are actually pissing off Mother Earth more than big capitalist industry — Mum Earth doesn’t like it when arrogant humans pretend to speak for her and control her as if they were her nannies. So she sends us tsunamis, earthquakes, hurricanes, tornadoes, volcanoes, floods, droughts and pestilence once in a while just to remind us who is in charge of the environment. Definitely not puny humans.
Mum Earth also didn’t vote for Al Gore in any election that I can recall, wasn’t a member of the committee that granted David Suzuki’s Order of Canada, nor do I think the archaeological evidence from ancient Native tradition demonstrates that the “mighty GITCHE-MANITOU” is a member of the U.S. Democratic Party, nor a Marxist-indoctrinated Indigenous leader from Bolivia, Ecuador, or Venezuela.
By the way, Karl Marx was a privileged academic from Germany and was buried in 19th century industrialized smoke-belching London, England where he concocted his theories — the guy knew nothing about relating to Mother Nature and wouldn’t have known a traditional Indigenous person even if he tripped over one.

If the OPEC countries would stop funding huge military budgets and terrorism, they could concentrate on desalination, irrigation and turn both the Sahara and the Arabian deserts into irrigated farming zones that could feed millions of people, as well as possibly controlling any future rise in sea level.

It’s mid-April, and we’re getting a tonne of global warming here today. In fact, as I look out the window, probably 1-2 cm accumulation.
I’m not saying its a lot. It isn’t. And it’ll likely all be gone by lunch time. But it’s the middle of freakin’ April, and they don’t call us the Wet Coast for nothing.
