    Canadians reaction to the english language debate thus far a 21 POINT LEAD in the latest Compass poll.
    Those would be ‘shoot an arrow and hurl a tomahawk’ at em type numbers.

    Tories destined for a majority: Pollster
    Stephen Harper’s Conservatives have gained a massive 21-point lead over Michael Ignatieff’s Liberals, according to a new COMPAS Research poll obtained exclusively by QMI Agency.
    In Ontario, the Liberals trail their Conservative opponents in every area of the province except Toronto — although Harper leads in the city’s suburbs.
    The poll, the largest telephone survey of the campaign, also found that Ignatieff is trailing both the Conservatives and the NDP in Quebec, as NDP Leader Jack Layton shows some surprising strength in the province.
    Pollster Conrad Winn said Harper is particularly strong in Ontario and all points west.
    “The way things are going, he’s destined for a majority,” Winn said. “The only chance they have is to prevent him from forming a majority, and for that they would need far higher public confidence in the leaders of the opposition than exists.”

  7. Yep,it’s confirmed,Conservatives can’t spell. So how can we trust them to run the Country?
    I was rather alarmed by Prime Minister Ignatieff’s
    (let’s all make damned sure THAT never happens)repeated referrals to “gun control” as the answer to crime.
    I suppose if The Devil Himself decides to step in and help The Count win,we can expect more hunter-farmer bashing by the big city crime fighters. With a majority,Ignatieff would take ’em all, and make the world a safer place.

  9. I work out at the YMCA, lots of School teachers and Liberals everywhere and they are certain that after IGGY loses then Trudeau will become Liberal leader and Prime Minister of Canada, I keep telling them that times have changed and it aint going to happen

He basically has to rely on today’s post-modern neo-Liberal revisionists to guide him into “what would Pierre do if he were alive today?”.

  15. The only thing ive seen of Bob Rae was a 26yr old film clip shown last Nite on CBC’s the National.
    This was Ontario Liberal leader David Peterson & Ontario NDP Leader Bob Rae signing their Pact after they voted non-confidence in Ontario’s Premier of the day, Frank Miller.
    History repeats itself in Canada & usualy Socialis Comrade Rae is involved.

  17. They’re waiting for the people who were alive during Rae’s reign of terror to die off so they can appeal to young’ins who never crack a history book. We’re the only ones left who remember the “Holy Grail” of the NDP and their past support for every tyrant on the map — such as Gadaffy — in aspiration of some day becoming like them.

    Yeah, like the meteoric rise of Caroline Kennedy when she *assumed* that as JFK’s daughter she could waltz into the Senate, whisked there by Camelot fairy dust.
    Political dynasties have lost their magic.
