   1. I have droned on about it before … but the local HD where I shop (Concord, CA) is overrun with day laborers in the parking lot, all hours, every day of the week. And that HD is theft central. The store has a somewhat secured/supervised checkout bullpen … but that’s not where the thieves wheel their giant boxes of tools and things out of the store.

      No, they exit the “entrance only” doors (unsupervised) and the leave via the Garden Department where the checkstand employees rarely look up to see the thieves casually walking/pushing a cart out of the store. I witness the theft almost every time I shop that store, exiting the garden department. It’s disgusting. Here … the thieves surname appear to be Gonzalez … and they don’t even need to be speedy … just a casual stroll.
