January 12, 2011: President Barack Obama says that Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords has opened her eyes for the first time since being shot through the head on Saturday.
The president says it happened a few minutes after he left her hospital room Wednesday evening.
Again, what the hell’s up with The Corner, which has been singing Obama’s praises.

me no dhimmi – I wish that you would ‘give it up’ and be satisfied that you, yourself, believe that Obama is a marxist/socialist.
I believe that Obama is intellectually: nothing. Nothing. He IS, however, a psychological socialist and that’s totally different from your opinion.
Obama is a pathological narcissist; that means that he must feel that he controls you. When a person that psychologically disturbed moves into politics, he will of course, move into the political party that controls people. That’s the Democratic Party..and the ultimate controllers are the radical socialists – who run Obama.
But he, himself, has no ideology; he’s not interested in theories of ‘how to make the best society’…But despite the fact that socialism and marxism are utopian virtual ideologies and far, far removed from reality…some people who believe in them do so because they genuinely believe that these ideas will make better societies. All proven wrong.
But Obama is not interested in a better society. His interest is in the means of controlling people. Period.
So- please, I’ve asked before. Be satisfied with your own opinions and don’t insist that I share them.

ET: I don’t think I was INSISTING you share my opinion. I thought that if I came across some further evidence, you might like to look at it. That’s all. As you probably know David Horowitz was once a radical marxist revolutionary himself and had two parents who were “card carrying” communists. He knows this territory better than you or me.
I DO hope you check out the Kurtz speech. The thing to get is the stealth socialism strategy.
Something apparently changed in the Tucson Sentinel article. It may have been altered from the first version.
Just after the author’s name, it links to an “update” on Giffords opening her eyes shortly after My Hero, Zero’s visit.
Later in the article it says:
“[Dr. Lemole] described simple commands as: “can you open your eyes?” or “can you raise two fingers.” Such simple tasks can tell doctors much about her condition, he said.
Giffords cannot speak because she is on a ventilator, and cannot see because of the area of her injury and the surgery requires her eyes be kept closed, the doctors said.”
These paragraphs seem to evade the issue of whether she had opened her eyes or not.
Your second link, although not a quote from Rhee, states unambiguously that Rhee said she had opened her eyes.
It could be the case that exuberant reporters initially misquoted Dr. Rhee, or we may be witnessing Winston Smith hard at work. If they changed the article’s text, they need a full disclosure.
I’ve worked for a narcissist. I believe Obama’s a narcissist—altogether unreliable as far as telling the truth is concerned. The one I knew would tell bald faced lies, with enthusiasm and a wide smile, in front of multiple witnesses, who knew she was lying. The next day, she’d be likely to say the opposite, the next day something in between, as if she had sworn on a bible. Truth meant ZERO to this person, and, as far as I’m concerned, truth means nothing to the Big Zer0, Himself.
I’m also thoroughly convinced that Obama’s a Marxist. Remember, when asked about who he was, he said, “Watch who I have around me”, or words to that effect. So, before he became POTUS, who did he have around him? His Communist family and mentor—hard-core Communist (and porn guy), Frank Marshall Davis—Bill Ayres, Bernadette Dohrn, ACORN—the list goes on. After? Van Jones, Anita Dunn, Cass Sunstein, and a host of other, radical czars—put in place by presidential fiat and not accountable to any elected official, except the president. Then there’s all the evidence marshalled by Kurtz. Yes, I think socialist is too mild an adjective for Obama.
Narcissism and communism are not mutually exclusive. In fact, I think the two aberrations fit together quite nicely. I found Kurtz’s talk very compelling and have heard his book praised by reliable sources. I’ll be in touch with Amazon today to order “Radical in Chief”.
