This morning driving to work I was being tailgated by a young woman in the left lane, doing 100 kms/h. After a few seconds of sitting on my bumper, she started making faces and screaming something at me. I showed her V sign and after another 30 seconds we both came to a stand still in traffic. She looked a bit confused in the RVM.
She was stating that the feelings of the offended were proof of the offensive nature of the behaviour.
Only one thing to do, then; accuse her of offensive behavio(u)r. You’re offended, and the fact that you are is proof that she’s being offensive. Two can play at that game.
Can’t be long, if it already hasn’t happened, before someone gets fired because of a dream or a bad drug trip that someone else had.

In my early upbringing, most unmarried female early grade teachers were regarded with quiet contempt by all and sundry. They usually fell into at least the category of plain looking misfits who could not cope with any reality beyond the classroom where males older than ten years might be found.
The exceptions were usually few and far between beautiful young women teachers who soon married and moved on after June as their classes cried when hearing the news. Needless to say the long term harridans got a different response to their efforts beginning in September.
Someone in the faculty didn’t take their Soma. Consequently, his career, reputation and life was ruined by his simple act of asking a question.

This is actually the classical method of control and intimidation used by the left as documented by Solzhenytsin (sp?) in “The Gulag Arachipelago”. The policy has nothing to do with sexual harrassment per se. That’s merely a smokescreen. The policy has everything to do with intimidation, fear, repression and isolation. It sends the message loud and clear that the political commissars are in absolute control and that if they tell you that up is down, black is white and s@#t is gold then you’d damn well better swallow it and regurgitate it on command. It’s like “counter-revolutionary agitation” or “wrecking” — the accusation is the proof and a plea of innocence is “revisionist thinking” and “anti-Soviet propaganda”. And how do you complain about it? Since complaint is “counter-revolutionary agitation” and failure to turn in a “counter-revolutionary” is “conspiracy” and “sabotage” you’d better not share any complaints with your colleagues. In fact you’re better off not associating with them at all since they may be forced to turn you in or you turn in them. Who do you trust? No one!
To top it off you can’t sit by passively. You must collude and become a part of the system of repression since “incidents” must certainly arise and when they do you’re obligated to report them. Failure to do so makes you complicit in the “crime”. And the best you can hope for if you’re known to have been aware of it is a “re-education” session followed by surveillance and testing.
The professor is better off out of that environment. But I hope he sues the pants off them. Does he have a legal defence fund to which one can contribute?

Probably blackmail, I think. Extortion, I think, is the threat of physical violence in order to get money, while blackmail is the threat of disclosing information in order to get money.
East Georgia college, according to its website, is “Part of the University System of Georgia”, which I take to mean that it’s a public university. Public universities are bound by the Bill of Rights of the US Constitution, which means, inter alia, that they must grant their employees and students the right to free speech and the right to freedom of religion. If they get sued for this, and they certainly should, they’ll lose if the case comes to trial.

No doubt that Marry is one dumb, ignorant woman, but then so is this kind of policy one can find nowadays in all types of institutions. It is like our hate laws and our HRCs where emotions (called feelings) trump truth and reason.
Feelings, as in emotions, remain our own responsibility. They are born in the mind, and only those who have no control over their mind (thoughts) allow themselves to feel insulted, hurt, angry or whatever. If I feel that way, then it is my problem, not the problem of the other person. I recommend that Mary and all her fellow-travellers learn to master themselves and to accept responsibility for that which they, and they alone, are responsible.
