  1. Curious- A 12 gauge, and a .45 ACP. Sounds like my last fishing trip.
If you were to strip search everyone in the Western Canadian forest, you’d probably think you were in Texas. Everybody packs, nobody talks.

  2. Your moral and intellectual betters at CNN…….
I’d like to see a follow up interview with this guy…lot’s of questions to be asked.
    For instance:
How man of the handguns your customers got last year have been used to commit a crime?
I’m going out on a limb and say ZERO.
Most people would either have sold the gun to realize the monetary value of the promotion or added it to the their legal collection of firearms.
An AK47? Sure… why not? Makes a lot of noise which is fun in and of itself. Makes a good conversation piece too.

  3. Had the sub gun for 26 months while being a soldier. The theory is, if you are not familiar with the war thing, to wound, not necessarily to kill. Wound, to get the other guy out of the way. If the other guy gets killed, shit happens, happens more often in a war.
That is why the melon did not shatter, as the guy explained, the shape of the bullet is different.
In fact, if you shoot, with the AK through an empty paint can, it will not even move, you may think you missed, not necessarily.
The sharpshooters, mostly look for what they call high value target to kill. If a unit looses the man in charge, things get confusing.
Things are not always as they seem to be.

  4. Actually I believe that in Luke Christ said that if you do not have a sword better to sell your tunic and buy one. Also before Christ went into the temple to kick out the money lenders etc he took his time to actually make a whip before he went in. So anyone who says Christ was some granola eating hippy has him pegged all wrong. What would Jesus do? I believe the answer is obvious.

  5. I think some of our Canadian friends misunderstand.
In the US and particularly the South the phrase “God, guns, and guts made America free, and God, guns and guts will keep America free” is very popular.
The idea is that in our Declaration of Independence we are endowed by a Creator with unalienable rights of life, libery, and the pursuit of happiness.
So we see liberty as originating from a Creator and therefore “God” is responsible for our freedom as an endowment.
Guns of course are necessary for freedom. You cannot very well be free if tyrants can take over and you can’t shoot them. You can’t be free if bullies are forcing you into conditions that are intolerable. Etc., etc.
And obviously guns are required to “keep America free”, because there is the requirement that freedom be secured through time or history, and as a consequence the guns not only have to be on board, but they have to stay on board.
Maybe this helps this phrase be a little more understandable.

  6. Most of your Canadian friends misunderstand, Greg.
The concepts of self defense, and civil defense, have been removed from our belief system. I suppose it’s because we’ve had it too easy, for too long. I don’t even bother discussing it with people I don’t know. It always ends up with someone calling me a redneck, or something worse. It’s easier to just keep quiet, and stay vigilant.
