    1. How ironic, eh? I’m old enough to remember when Canada “celebrated” The Soviet Union … and couldn’t give two shits about Ukraine. Now they want to absorb Ukraine into the Soviet Socialist Republic of the EU?

      Some Communists never change.

    2. I don’t think NATO is going to be a US problem for much longer. At that point, Ukraine joining NATO will be like an old lady joining a book club.

      1. Ukraine joining NATO is like Saskatchewan joining Chyna. I parkmy fat Xi ass 300 miles from your ICBM silos, and what are you gonna do about it? Well you see what Putin is doing about it now. He was bitching about it for ten years.

    3. Freeland, the fat little garden troll, is already working over there for her new boss Zelenskyyyyy. That moolah doesn’t grift and launder itself. Everyboy has to get their cut, and that’s work an old finance minister with connections can help you with. Hypotetically. Not that Ukraine has a reputation for corruption. When are the next elections over there, again?

    4. That 50% support will evaporate as soon as people realize their OJ doubled in price, their fuel is $5/litre, or they have to pay a Paytriot Tax or some such other cost to hold up their ElBowZ.
That support is a mile wide and an inch deep.
A released Angus Reid poll just showed these results.
It’s ElbowZ uP until they have to pay for it then it’s abandon ship.

  1. “Several hundred thousand of you will lose your jobs, but it’s a sacrifice I’m willing to make.”

    1. L – An extra million or more lining up at food banks in the GTA and elsewhere, and may now start talking to others in the line up. This in a way that hasn’t happened since before Covid… Will shared suffering create renewed shared culture and values? The ones that globalist P.M. Trudeau told us that no longer exist.

During the Panic-demic Lockdowns, many of those falling into despair could afford to drug/drink themselves into oblivion in the shadows. They took the brunt of it, without anyone they could hold responsible….

TDS protects him for now, but not for long. Is Carney the cut and run type or the apparatchik type, who ordered the Tianamen Square Massacre?

If Mark Carney left early to: Be head of the World Bank or head of the United Nations. If the latter how would he, who does not believe in the nation state, fit in?

Like the Emperor Ming in the old Flash Gordon show.

      1. Thankfully MAID continues to ramp up, and with some increasingly aggressive support could substantially shorten the bread lines.

    1. Carney thinks “lack of transparency” is the same as “subtle”.

As far as I am aware, he still hasn’t given specifics on his personal finances. He has not fully detailed his exact net worth or itemized holdings directly to the public. That should be a major red flag on someone in control of a Nation’s finances while making very questionable decisions consistently involving international trade.

But, hey, the ethics commissioner was perfectly satisfied. And, how can you doubt a guy named Konrad von Finckenstein?

    2. He’s an evil pr–k . That knows when a country is ripe enough to be completely hollowed out , and made into something else.
      No matter what.
      The imbecile came before him.

      1. Bingo. Evil, greedy, and totally uncaring about anything except his goal: fleecing the sheep to achieve his vision of the proper world order.

  2. E-V-E-R-Y criticism of Carnage comes with: but but but CanaDUH VOTED for the pryck.
    explain that. lm waiting.

    1. The explanation is simple. Canada is a nation of infantilized cowards, who down deep know the US is a superior place to be, live, and prosper, and can’t do anything about it, so they virtue signal and vote for a huckster who says he will stand up to the US, and they feel in their chickenshit way like they are sticking it to the man.

Hell, Carney even knows it, his wife and fu*ked up offspring live in New York. File that under things the MSM will never talk about.

    2. Well that isn’t really accurate because you see, there is a terrible imbalance when it comes to seats in Canada. Atlantic Canada which includes provinces that have received equalization every year almost without fail is horribly OVER represented in Parliament. If you use the population to seat ratio of Atlantic Canada and apply it to Alberta, it would have 61 seats….not 37. And if you used the same ratio from Alberta and applied it to Atlantic Canada, it would have 19 seats instead of 32. And 25 of the 32 seats in Atlantic Canada went to the Liberals. If that imbalance didn’t exist, Carney would be nowhere near a majority.

      1. Someone needs to ask Poilievre if would be in favour of reducing PEI’s ridings from four to one, to bring them back into line with the rest of the nation. Four MPs *and* four Senators for a tiny population of 181,00 like that is ridiculous.

Yes, I know that’s how we bribed them into Confederation. Too bad…they would still be free to leave now and join the USA if they don’t like it.

      2. Oh, I totally agree with you! Now things “may” have changed from 1985 when I visited our younger brother in Prince Edward Island. Back then, PEI was only 125,000 people and Charlottetown was 45,000 people – the size of a town in Saskatchewan. They may have been important during the time of the Bluenose Schooner (ca. 1820) but they have been an afterthought since then. New Brunswick and Nova Scotia are beautiful but again are small in population and definitely do not pull their own weight in Canada.

  3. What bothers me is that Carney is a globalist. To him, nation states are bad, an annoyance at best; so, who is he working for? rhetorical
