Why this blog?
Until this moment I have been forced to listen while media and politicians alike have told me "what Canadians think". In all that time they never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

Hmmmmm. So are the brits going to outlaw buzzards now? Or can they be trained to go after turbans?
Probably global warming.
Buzzards obviously have a greater understanding than humans about how to deal with “solicitors”. I’m thinking that buzzards rank a little higher up the food chain than lawyers!
Exactly what I am feeling. Especially with the story about the rapes and executions of women in Iran. Makes my stomach turn. Check out Atlas Shrugs to read the story. Or get the link to there from by blog.

I call BUL$HIT
He said: “I thought somebody had thrown some heavy sacking or carpet at me but I couldn’t see anyone. I carried on a few paces and then saw blood running down me and noticed a buzzard flying off into the trees…
As if you wouldn’t notice a huge frikkin bird attacking your face. bullshit.
Ah… I looked for that cartoon a while ago (it’s mentioned in one of Steven Pinker’s books), but couldn’t find it.
Nice.
Another page for the Roadkill Diaries.
As God as my witness, I thought joggers were edible.
After the type of governments the Brits have elected the last decade or so I would think they would have a special affinity for buzzards.
Reminds me of Foghorn Leghorn of Looney Tunes fame.
What right-minded buzzard wouldn’t want to be seen as a ‘chicken hawk?’
Is that marketing consultant a client of yours, Kate?
It’s most likely a sign you’re jogging waaaay to slow.

Perhaps PhillM is too young to remember Buzz Buzzard.
I must say the the victim looks looks very composed for a guy who has just “…suffered three six-inch cuts to his head…” I guess for some reason he thought the photographic evidence would be important.
I’m surprised this didn’t happen near Leighton Buzzard. It’s a town somewhere in England, don’t ask me why.
Sad about the plasterer, but at least he can always go out and get plastered.
so after the first attack you carry a stick and smack the shit out of the bird.
I was thinking that the joggers must have appeared to be injured prey.
I see dozens of people every day who seem to be attempting to do something related to running but looks more like the spastic struggles of some mortally wounded creature.
I often think “Food for buzzards.” when I see these antics.
When they say “buzzard”, are they talking about Vultures? Vultures are in the eagle family, which means they’re fairly well armed.
I have to agree, he probably wasn’t looking too healthy, while running.
When they say “buzzard” in England, they are talking about the European Common Buzzard. The European Common Buzzard appears to be a somewhat smaller bird, and quite a bit more dignified looking, than our North American buzzards.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Common_Buzzard
Most of the species Europeans call buzzards, we North Americans refer to as hawks.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Buzzard
In the Americas, we use the term to refer to any vulture of the Americas, of which the Turkey Vulture (or John Crow or Cobo) is the most common.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Turkey_buzzard
American buzzards are unlikely to attack human joggers, even if they are lefties. They prefer their meat recently killed and are attracted by the smell of the very early stages of putrefaction. Come to think of it, some North American lefties are in the early stages of putrefaction, so perhaps the Turkey Vulture would be interested.
FWIW …. A few years ago a skatboarder here in Winnieg got knocked A$$-over-teakettle when a landing goose smacked into him…. he knew what hit him.
Economic collapes, the Welfare just ran out – Riot and loot!
Leave the rest to the buzzards
Oops stimulus? Hmmm………no wonder thier pissed! Waiting sucks big time when your a buzzard.
