Suzuki ignores any fact that doesn’t slot into his preconceived determination and ignores valid scientific data at his whim. He should be thrown in jail for creating a public nuisance and forcing governments and business to pay money for his hair-brained concepts.

If these “environmentalists” were to see what 5-10 years of advancement in all of our industries will do for resource management, carbon reduction, energy conservation. Suzuki has gone way past any connection to scientific principle. Otherwise he would engage in rational debate with the deniers instead of preaching revolution to kids.
So, he thinks that any politician that ignores science should be arrested. Yet didn’t the UN conference in Bali refuse to allow any contrary science to be presented. The UN is political so I guess they should be arrested too. But I suspect his edict only applies to science that he agrees with.

He is one very sick man. Has he lost all ability to reason due to senility or some kind illegal drug? He spouts off about science yet he clearly has no understanding of what science is and now demands that those who disagree with his twisted ideology be imprisoned – just like something out of the People’s Republic of China.

If a practical swing away from fossil fuels and dirty coal plant power generation makes any difference in a warming trend, then so much the better. 40 years ago “science” said give everybody who needs one a lobotomy.
When the Creation-Evolution debate first raged in the US, it was assumed by the “scientific” evolutionists that eugenics would take care of defective and inferior races.
Now a scientist is going on record as saying that those who disagree with him should be jailed.
Perhaps a little more humility is in order among those professing science.
As a zoology major at UBC in 1978, I was delighted that such an eminent scientist as Mr. Suzuki was on staff as Zoology Professor. If office location was a sign of status, he was right up there on the bridge linking zoology with biology and botany, and he had a better view than the Dean of Science, whose office was on the lower floor next to the zoology and microbiology labs.
Great! I would have someone to bounce zoology theories off, and integrate botany and ecology too!
Wrong. Every attempt I made to set up an appointment with Dr. Suzuki was rebuffed by the dragon guarding his appointment book. Every single one over two years.
Here was a guy I could engage in spirited intellectual conversation on common research interests (presumably vertebrate zoology) and I was certainly prepared to sit there and listen to whatever he had to say.
Nope.
Schoolkids – yes. Knowledgeable university science students- not me, anyway.
