British Environment Secretary David Milliband (Feb. 02, 2006):
” [The time for] climate change deniers [is running out.] The [IPCC] report confirms our concerns that the window of opportunity to avoid dangerous climate change is closing more quickly than previously thought. [The report] is another nail in the coffin of the climate change deniers and represents the most authoritative picture to date, showing that the debate over the science of climate change is well and truly over.”
So, who are these deniers … these shills for big oil, quacks, cranks, and junk scientists who can’t tell bad science from good? After all, 2500 scientists have signed the IPCC report … or is it 1000 … or is it 100 … or 51:
The Who’s Who of Quacks, Cranks, and Junk Science

Would make a cool documentary… you know, actual scientists arguing the real pro’s and con’s and statistical probabilities.
We could call it “Earth inthe Balance”
….
just think of the hospitals we could build, the medical breakthroughs, the technological advancements to clean up exaust, smoke stacks, clean emmissions everywhere with the billions of dollars that have and will be wasted by this rogues gallery of fools pushing this new religion Kyoto. Taking money from school children had to be one of the most despicable things I have ever seen a snake oil salesman do ever. Yes send your money to whoever to buy carbon offsets, like that will help. I PMSH wants to nip this insanity in the bud he would put up 25 million dollar prizes to the first engineering faculty that could achieve 50 miles per gallon in my one ton, or 100 miles per gallon in a escalade, or 0 emmissions on houses etc. Remember at every point in time there were those that said we know everything, only to slink back to their sorry existance when the ice age didn’t happen (1975] or Dr. Ehrsichs widespread famines killing millions. Please take your travelling road show brother suzuki and park it, most children arn’t stupid enough to continue to finance it.
The problem is, that once you have declared some issue outside of debate, then that issue has moved outside of science.
Milliband says: “[The IPCC report] is another nail in the coffin of the climate change deniers and represents the most authoritative picture to date, showing that the debate over the science of climate change is well and truly over.”
This means that climate change has moved into theological dogma – and anything any scientist says, either pro or con, is irrelevant. Hallelujah. May the infidels be struck down.
Do you think that apocalpytic hysteria, as exemplified within the Kyoto Religious Cult, has some kind of basic cause – too much trans fats, or too little? Or…? Certainly, the Kyoto Religious Cult is anthropogenic. It’s not a natural phenomenon. Can we not do something to alleviate this emotional aberration?
What bothers me about this is the refusal to even entertain the idea that someone should explain why AGW a valid theory. If they are so sure, why don’t they debate it or at least explain it, rather than, as happens on this site, we get links that just reargue. Dr Tim Ball is right, the peer review of this stuff is corrupted.
Again we can debate this all we want; I don’t think we’re going to change people’s minds; they are hellbent on the “environment issue.”
Suzuki, Dion et al have already been told to shove off by Alta premier Stelmach. I understand they are also against nuke power for oilsands, they basically want to stop expansion or even shut them down. Suzuki will try to convince Canadians we must take action against an imminent threat (like Iraq supposedly was), and it won’t wash, especially given the enormous cost, potential for abuse/corruption, and the low contribution of GHG by Canada.
Suzuki can argue the “deniers” don’t have credibility; it is he whose motives are suspected by most.
How dose that dweeb DAVID SUZUKL get around? i bet he dont flap his arms and he dont tie birds to himself and the same for these other eco-freaks like SUZUKI,GORE,TURNER and others what a bunch of snobs and eletists fools
Couldn’t help but share from the ever witty observational humourist:
Quote of the Day
“How about Al Gore? ‘An Inconvenient Truth’ has been nominated for an Academy Award. Two, as a matter of fact. It’s all about the environment. And I can’t think of anything better for the environment than an event that features 2,000 stretch limousines.”
– David Letterman, Feb. 23, 2007
There’s something else going on with regard to the rejection of debate – and that’s happening in our House of Commons, with regard to the anti-terrorist laws. The Liberals are starting to openly state that they are thinking of taking legal action against CPC arguments in favour of the terrorist laws. Why? Because the arguments are claiming that the Liberal decisions are based on ethno-interest politics.
What is important here, is that the Liberals are attempting to shut down debate and analysis. On the Kyoto issue, Dion claims that there is no debate. He has moved climate change outside of science. On terrorism protection, the Liberals are doing the same thing – moving the topic outside of debate. You cannot debate anti-terrorist clauses because to do so, involves ‘naming’ groups who are terrorists. That is considered unacceptable by the Liberals – because of their ethno-centric political vote buying strategies.
Does anyone have the words for the song I’m Sorry. Forget who released it. It could become the new theme song for the liberals. They could play it at caucus meetings and pretend it is sung by conservatives. After the vote tonight it will change to Who’s Sorry Now when the polls come out showing them in the basement.
I must agree with some posters. When people like Suzuki maintain that the “science” is done…complete…trustworthy and valid, does that not go against the whole idea behind science?
When we reject debate, we stifle growth and knowledge. If this attitude was taken many many years ago…the earth is still flat.
If we assume that the IPCC thing”represents the most authoritative picture to date”, then Global Warming must be a figmet of someone’s imagination. There is not IPCC report. There’s a draft, but no report.
Wake up, moonbats.
The IPCC, Suzuki, Gore, et al are “Solar Warming Deniers”!
ET:
Anything that doesn’t square with the LIEberal version of ‘reality as WE KNOW it’ is considered anathema.
The lords of DIONysus have spoken, all bow down to the altar of the Gion Shrine in KYOTO.
And to think that Maurice Strong and his band of UN-ULtimate-Bureaucrates tried to panic mankind because of the so called “population bomb” would cause the earth to over heat.
Bad enough that man’s role in the warming is being proven to have been grossly over stated, as the IPCC themselves have recently admited, but now the assumptions on pop growth are being questions.
What dolts we have at the United Nations. Take a few hundred otherwise unemployables, stir with a few million $$ from the world’s taxpayers, give them a piece of paper and ask for some doomsday senario that said taxpayers will have to pay-up for.
Population growth. Assume everything stays the same and extend line to lots more people. Ok, lets have a conference for the media in say, Narobi. Media likes world-ending stories. Fits nicely with Earth Charter, One World Governance, Gaia, Colorado Earth Summit Cults and all that. And of course Population Explosion.
Lately, however there has been other explosions.
Explosion of childless couples.
Explosion of people remaining single
Explosion of Gay couples
Explosion of birth controls
Explosion of abortions
Explosion of AIDS
Explosion of one child laws
Explosion of calamity callers(SARS)
Even the UN has repeatedly lowered it’s pop growth estimates. Many others also now believe the world’s pop will level off by 2040-50 and then decline. Just over one more generation.
So much for man needing to fight his own global warming. Thank-you fruit-fly guy and docudrama fiction producer. Nice try. But we may need all the help we can get when the next ice age returns again with ice 2 kilometers thick over Canada.
MaryT
I may be wrong, but try Tammy Wynette.
We are constantly told that we must have more immigration because Canadians are not producing children. shouldn’t that be good enough for meeting our targets?
And the IPCC draft created by bureaucrats. We keep hearing scientists produced it but then I read that it was bureaucrats. If the UN can’t tell the difference what hope is there?
MaryT
Who’s sorry now was sung by that woman that advertised orange juice and hates gays.
Can’t think of her name off-hand but she was violated
by a man. Maybe Sam Cooke.
The hit version of “I’m Sorry” was recorded by Brenda Lee (I think).
Connie Francis had a hit with “Who’s Sorry Now?”. That was also the title of her autobiography. And, yes, she was a rape victim after she had become a recording star.
Maybe David Suzuki meant to say “the square root of 2,500”, which is 50.
Rattf*c, I presume you mean Anita Bryant?
It was Patsy Cline!!!!!
Mary T.
Pretty sure it was Brenda Lee…now what’s my prize?
ET, you hit the nail on the head regarding Sunset clause for anti-terrorist bill. Dion is pandering to the extreme left of this party and has been co-opted by extremist groups in his party who made their support of Dion conditional on ending these measures. Read Jonathan Kay’s article today:

The MSM is abetting the inane arguments:
– we don’t need measure anymore, because we haven’t used them yet
– they are unconstitutional
– it’s Harper’s fault, the legislation sat on his desk
On Duffy, Rosemary Thomson was sure to give the Liberal first and last word on this issue, and cut of the Tory when she tried to counter his ridiculous argument. In the last year our oil industry has been threatened by AQ, and we had arrest in terror plot. Again Libs/NDP new argument (after all they formulated bill in first place) is that since powers not used yet, there is no need for them. After all in 1939 we didn’t need to worry about Hitler because he hadn’t attacked us. Unbelievable. Sorry I’m venting, but the LPC has hit new lows of power brinkmanship, shoring up their urban vote.
I hope Mr Harper makes a big deal out of this for the next election. If we are subject to a terror attack (not if but when), I hope Dion and his gang are shown for what they are – people who will put their quest for power above the safety of Canadians.
Ya, it was Brenda Lee. ‘Just googled it.
We must sunset the A.t.l after all we might smear some inocent persons repution,we can not be to hard on suspected terrorists.but we must continue to make criminals out of law-abiding gun owners.ding-a-ling dion says liberals are not soft on crime, just soft in the head !!!go figure
Denier Tim Ball.
