    I can only imagine a Canadian version of this type of ad which could quite literally write itself (should any Canadian political candidate actually have the cojones to not listen to their consultants/handlers – i.e., a bunch of spineless, bubble-dwelling, poll-driven moral cowards virtually unemployable in any other capacity – and DO such a thing).

    One can always dream……

    2. Pierre P. campaigned EXACTLY like EVERY Democrat candidate is campaigning for CA Governor … by running AGAINST Trump. They aren’t FOR anything … because EVERY one of their past policies are destroying this State.

      So they blame Trump.

      It’s all they got.

      1. Most Canadians, it pains me to admit, are craven moral cowards, and virtually EVERYONE in the Canadian political class – i.e., “the socialists of all parties” (per Hayek’s famous dedication in ‘The Road to Serfdom’) – are doubly, perhaps trebly, so.

        But as we saw with Orange Man in the US, all it would take is for someone to stop spewing banal, focus-grouped, consultant-drafted, MSM-approved talking points and actually tell it like it is and I think most people would be pleasantly shocked – the Canadian political class again, doubly, perhaps trebly so – at just how much political traction such a politician might be able to obtain. I’m just not sure if any Canadian political aspirant actually has the balls to do it.

        As I said above, one can always dream…

  3. Fantastic ad, yes (loved Rubio as a DJ – lol). Don’t get your hopes up though. The communists – sorry, “Democrats” – will steal this election like they do with every election. Especially when it’s the city of L.A.

    1. Democrats voted for Harris 67% over Trump 32% in LA County.
      Top two in primary move on to November so Pratt needs to finish at least 2nd.
      Then he has to demolish either of the two American hating Communists.

  7. As an aside … I have a campaign donation appeal sitting in my email inbox from Pratt. I didn’t trash it because of this advertisement… even though I live nowhere near LA … it’s the dead canary in our State … and anyone who FIGHTS like this deserves a donation.

  8. Depicting a person of colour in clown-face would be racism, but the use of the term racist has eroded its sting, so it won’t change any sort of voting behavior like it used to in the good old days before police cams.

    On the other hand, one is reminded of the incident that brought down Robespierre: his play on the Church of Reason drew the guffaws of the mob. He was sent to the guillotine only a few days later. Which is an obscure fact certainly not touched upon in our anti-meritocratic education and leadership classes. Who the heck knows who Robespierre is, anyway? I know I know nobody who does, let alone the subtle nuances of his role on the Committee of Public Safety, his fellow traveler St.Just, and, how years of oppression can lead to a few months of sanguine release.

    People sure are angry, though. I wonder how this will turn out?

    1. There was a building near Osgoode Hall in downtown Toronto in which space came open some years ago, and I wanted to start a French restaurant with the waiters attired in French-style advocate’s robes, in tribute to the robed barristers across the street whom we would be wanting to attract. We’d call it Robes Pierre. No backers.

      As to St. Just, I know little about him, but I gather he slept well.

    1. And as in most apocalypse movies it is the urbanites who head for the hills when their cities collapse.
