Y2Kyoto: Contagion

From the comments;

The federal government announced Tuesday that it “was in the process of finalizing an agreement” with the Montreal-based protective equipment manufacturer Medicom to start N95 and surgical mask production in Canada.

But the proposed Medicom manufacturing site won’t be up and running for months. According to the company, neither the location nor the number of facilities that will be producing masks has been decided. It is aiming to start production in early summer.

Trudeau is desperately trying to source N95 masks from other countries, who are struggling with their own needs.

Guess “studies of mosquitoes, rats, and programs on “storytelling regarding climate change” were more important.

  1. Your government is here for you. Lying a lot.

    1. Want to bet on the day in July, August, September, or later, or possibly never; that their factory will produce its first mask?

In the mean time, that silly little bible banging My Pillow Guy from fly over land has been turning out over 10,000 masks a day, every day last week, every day this week, and will be hitting 50,000 masks a day next week.

Mike Lindell. These are the people that will save what can be saved.

Doesn’t Canada have anyone with the skill and assets to do something similar? Will your progressive and diversity loving government actually allow him to succeed?

      1. In southwestern Ontario, there a lot of private people turning out surgical masks as volunteers, sewing them in their spare time. They are accomplishing more than the Liberals with less showboating, and less money. They, unlike the yapping dog PM, are doing what they can without any fanfare or public recognition. They will turn the tide, not Skippy, the wonder PM.

    2. My prediction.

Trudeau is desperately trying to buy masks. He knew Canada was going to be short of masks. The only real source is China. That’s why he sent 16 tonnes to China back in February. He was hoping that would curry favour with China.

Now China will likely play hardball with Trudeau. They’ll demand he send Meng Wanzhou back to China. They’ll also demand Trudeau approve Huawei as the 5G provider. Both deals done in secret.

You have got to be joking, Blackie wasn’t thinking ahead trying to help Canadians in the future by getting on Chicom good side. He is a cynical sociopath who never gave a rat’s ass about Canadians. He fellated Chicoms because he craves international recognition and was too stupid to realize that it would bite him in the ass few weeks later. Please do not accuse Blackie of empathy in the future. He has got none, it is an entirely foreign concept to him. No soul either. Stone cold sociopath, only good enough to charm the gullible and bribe the imports.

          1. My apologies, I should not have accused you of believing that Blackie has human emotions.

          2. I think it is more probable that he, like his fellow idiots, was just plain stupid.

Do remember that people should have been preparing for this since 2003.

        1. Colonialista, The Turd does have nice hair, although the come to mooslimb beard doesn’t suite him and I’m sure his man toy doesn’t like it either for it scratches his soft skin. He does have colourful socks I grant him that. All in all he is still a Turd and as the saying goes you can “polish” but in the end it’s still a Turd.

    3. This what WE ALL NEED TO DO. When you go outside – WEAR A MASK – Anything will be better than NOTHING….right.? Make your own if you have to…wear a bandana – whatever works.
……..and it appears to be VERY EFFECTIVE. Have a listen
And share the SHIT outa this VIDEO…!!
WE are in a WAR, our Govt has Capitulated, stunned into inaction. Its time to take matters in our own hands.

      1. Excellent video. I was saying the same thing for weeks but WHO and Blackie knew better. I wore one for weeks (a handful of N95s we have are reserved for emergencies only) also they are not hard to make: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4FB–BOyTiU

BTW: drop by the local pet store, they may still have dog grooming masks.

    1. We’ll be separating soon enough… the entire country is going to disintegrate into anarchy.

  2. Looks like stupidity has been spreading faster than the COVID 19 in the Liberal government and bureaucratic ranks since 2015.
Blackie the Groping Potato is patient zero

  3. Kate,
One of your popular themes was,
    “We need a famine”

I think your (and my) wish was answered with a slight twist.
We are suffering not a famine, but a plague, thankfully NOT a highly fatal plague like Ebola, but a plague nonetheless.

The world is going to change, and change in ways we don’t even suspect right now.
A lot of stupid social posturing will be swept away, not all of it, but hopefully the worst of it.
Fortunes are going to be made. Fortunes are going to be lost.
Our Job is to survive and thrive when this is all over and done.

    1. Except I believe I heard on Tucker tonight , in Seattle, if you hear someone say something racist(as in China Virus) to call 911. Was making dinner so not sure that was correct, but believe so.

  4. The bong is in full damage control. Double down on the spending. Nobody will be left behind. The cheque is in the mail.

Sure thing. The government is here to help. They refused to close the border and guess where the flu came from?

This is on the liberal government. Justin Trudeau is personally responsible. He had time to do the right thing and chose not to.
    Remember him on vote day.

      1. And yet, he was carrying on a few days ago that they are able to do this because of their good fiscal management over the past few years. Oh my. These guys really live in La la Land.

    1. Abtrapper – except when it is not. Am trying to sort out all sorts of government programs for my clients, and it is extremely frustrating. A perfect example is that they are pushing the “work sharing program” where eligible employees who voluntarily reduce their house get an EI top-up. Right. However, the employer is supposed to have sorted out the new hours, gotten all the employees on board, and submitted very detailed plans to Service Canada some 30 days BEFORE the reduced hours come into effect. Client I have – vet clinic – went into virtual lockdown on Mar 17th with very restricted access (you phone in your food or medicine order; we’ll carry it to your car; you can come in with your animal but right into exam room) and, during that week, organized staff into two teams each working three days a week. Now the owner is trying to pull things together so the staff gets the EI needed, but it’s not easy. And the 75% wage subsidy is only if a business shows a 30% decline in revenue on a monthly comparison. So March 2019 vs March 2020. If March 2019 wasn’t the greatest, no subsidy even if revenue totally collapsed in the last part of March 2020 and is still headed south. It will be the same April 2019 vs April 2020, but a fair few small businesses will run out of resources before they can even apply mid-May and wait six weeks for the cheque.

  5. Damn you Mike Lindell, the My Pillow guy.
How can you possibly retool your factory in 3 days.
    Simply Impossible.
Canukistan is the BEST Country to do business in and we can assure the World that the earliest it can be done is 3 months.
3 months after we build a spectacular website with photos of Dear Leader.

    1. And a voice over on all advertisements and announcements using his voice to say “a message from the government of Canada”. An effort to try and equate the government of Canada with Trudeau. It’s vomit inducing glib marketing bull sheet.

  6. If folks don’t understand by now that Models are NOT science, but a tool to ferret a probability from an unknown… A probability has no better odds than a coin toss, 50/50 on every toss…. The roofer has a better understanding of his tool.. The Hammer

I don’t like probabilities because they provide a false sense of a correct decision….Dog Shit stinks

    JMHO

  7. Worth pondering that 99% of the information and decision making in this health crisis are being made by people who already signed on (fully and without reservation) to the climate emergency.

Do you really trust them, with all that money and power?

I have to say that I don’t and would probably rather take my chances in a modified version of normalcy than go down this road to serfdom.

    1. The Tides Foundation has a vision for canaduh-a subservient populace entirely dependent on guvmint for subsistence. And this panic will serve them very well.
Most of the population are too stupid to recognize they are giving up their freedom.

  8. The most absurd aspect of all this is that the politicians who are shutting down the economy to mostly save vulnerable old people are the same ones who voted a law to legalize euthanasia… Mostly for vulnerable old people.

  9. Hey, the government totally fooked the Cannabis file so how on earth can one expect them to address this national health emergency. Then…………………….. tackle Climate Change?

    We are doomed!

    Bahahahahahahahah, Lol, Lol,Lol

  10. Dina Hinshaw says Docs have to stop prescribing chloroquine because there isn’t enough for those who need it?!? How about a plan to get enough?

    1. I’m not sure what all is involved in setting up hydroxychloroquine and azithromycin plants but I’m hoping that our leaders are moving mountains to actually start making them here in canada…preferably Alberta. Or is that asking too much? Begging for them from other countries is only going to garner chuckles. This province or someone in the private sector had better start getting this stuff done because the feds are damn sure going to be taking their sweet time spreading the govt cheese around before the actually accomplish anything.

      1. Johnboy: I’m for prescribing 2 garlic cloves a day. Not only does it help bodily function, is great for the immune system but will insure social distancing. Been doing it for years.

    1. You’re just like Justin Trudeau! He ran against Stephen Harper in the last election and here you are flogging Andrew Scheer again.
Your sins aren’t going to stop staining your psyche, MacBastard until you repent and admit you were an IDIOT for backing Max?!

  11. “Public Health Agency did not stock masks but spent $5.6M…”

Well if they spent 5.6M on N95s they would send them to China anyway, so no difference really.

  12. It takes time for a company to start up. Gotta get through the environmental regulatory processes, the gender impact studies, the consultation with indigenous groups, fill the brown envelopes. Give ’em a break will ya!

      1. Also men loose a whole dollar for every seventy nine cents women lose due to Kung Flu related layoffs.

    1. Shame on Maude Barlow. Totally crass and insensitive. She deserves a public shaming.

  13. I think that the real reason Trudeau wants people to stay inside, is that no one will notice the phone companies are installing 5G, and if you notice in The Rebel videos, the passengers are carrying 5G equipment from China.

  14. When Canada was at WAR in Afghanistan, the Quebec manufactured fragmentation hand-grenades used by the Canadian Army had a failure rate of 1 in 4.
This is the province that is supposed to be manufacturing N95 masks? Froggies can’t be trusted any more than the Chinks can.
