Why this blog?
Until this moment I have been forced to listen while media and politicians alike have told me "what Canadians think". In all that time they never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

What They Say About SDA
"Smalldeadanimals doesn't speak for the people of Saskatchewan" - Former Sask Premier Lorne Calvert
"I got so much traffic after your post my web host asked me to buy a larger traffic allowance." - Dr.Ross McKitrick
Holy hell, woman. When you send someone traffic, you send someone TRAFFIC.My hosting provider thought I was being DDoSed. - Sean McCormick
"The New York Times link to me yesterday [...] generated one-fifth of the traffic I normally get from a link from Small Dead Animals." - Kathy Shaidle
"You may be a nasty right winger, but you're not nasty all the time!" - Warren Kinsella
"Go back to collecting your welfare livelihood." - Michael E. Zilkowsky
Awesome. Both papers seemed to have become left wing SJW rags, especially since CC got re-elected four years ago. Maybe one day these papers will learn to stop insulting the people that helped their bills get paid. But, likely that will only happen when they’re on the deathbed, if it isn’t already.
Both these papers put in heavier paywalls. It only drives more eyes AWAY from their online advertising. Smart like truck!
I read the whole thing carefully but I missed the part where I care about them.
Not as many people buy newspapers these days, and advertising revenue is down, so they cut costs, so what? Why would this come as a surprise to anyone?
The days of the media are over…I took my wife to her eye Doctor in Mesa AZ, a waiting room filled with older patients 70 years+… I could count the number of those not on an Iphone on one hand.. The grandparents have been hooked by their G-children… The annoyance of VOICE Messaging blaring everywhere. We will need a new law
Trump is the only person speaking to these people in real time because they get the News “First” on social media. Two days later the Cable Chan may have another version….Obsolete
Yawn! All of the above and as well, fake or biased news does not sell well.
I can git my lies on line for free, and a new version of that lie, 2 days later, for free. Toronto sun, 3 1/2 pages of news, and the rest truck and car adds!
Oh, I don’t have a bird cage!!!!
I was flipping through the dial yesterday. 660 news in Calgary was all excited over some NDP leadership guaranteed wage for all proposal.
Seeing as how the journo’s are now finding themselves increasingly unemployed it makes sense.
“We’ve received no explanation as to why $2.3-million has been paid out in executive bonuses while hard-working staff are being shown the door,”
Explanation? Simple: the fat rats are the last to leave a sinking ship.
If people in the media cannot decide whether they are in the business of reporting news or manufacturing propaganda, it is all the more important that the public understand that difference, and choose their news sources accordingly. Thomas Sowell
The future beckons:
An all intern/robot produced thinly disguised online supermarket flyer posing as a left leaning news sheet.
The 660 news crowd is looking forward to the implementation of the $15/hr minimum wage. Big raises coming in the news room.
The average radio jockey is poorly paid. It’s not a skill that has ever been in big demand.
Terrestrial radio is just one giant infomercial these days. It’s sell sell sell.
