It has been both fascinating and alarming to watch the term “storm” erased from most media in favor of the term “weather event”.
But, the most shocking statement I have heard from the media was stated by a radio host, only a month ago. When faced with the fact a considerable percentage of us lowly serfs doubt MMGW she actually stated that ” the media better START selling it”. Not do more or do better, but START.
The really depressing thing is I believe she believes she is stating the truth.
Any adverse weather pattern and the eco-freaks are crying GLOBAL WARMING and they demand we all return to living a primative life over all this eco-crap them and the news media scum-suckers are blabbering out each day

Not that the IPCC or the UN would care as long as the money keeps pouring in and the brainwashed suckers keep cheering them on. Politicians, except for the few that still have integrity see only the ability to tax a .038% trace gas essential for life and it’s in their best interest to keep the scam going. The opportunity to tax nothing is a rare event and has been a wet dream for political elite of all stripes since the first tax was foisted on a gullible public. And you wonder why they continue to dumb down the education system ? Dumb sheep are compliant sheep. Brainwash intervention is not part of the new world order. If you concur, you could be conceived as a threat by that same world order. You are a denier. Dangerous to vested interests. You have the ability to think and do your own research to reach a logical conclusion. Unlike a certain black leader of the USA (no names) or a NDP leader of Alberta or Liberal leader in Ontario on whom the brainwashing has been very effective. Or perhaps ethics are simply bought and sold.
Lately the media has latched onto the ‘unprecedented’ heat in parts of India. There hasn’t been too many scorthers around here so they’ve decided to search around a bit. Sometimes you just have to laugh.

Have you noticed (at least at CTV Calgary..even though David S is a climate realist) that a couple of years ago they changed the color patterns for temperatures on the weather maps? So when western Canada is (say) above about 18°C the entire region or RED! More then subliminal messaging.

Well, all this apocalypse-pending stuff seems to be working. I mean, not only did Alberta bring in the NDP, but Harper just committed to fighting greenhouse gasses and the Ontario PCs voted along with the Liberals/NDP on a motion to fight climate change.

Jamie, the so-called right politicians who are short on personal principles feel compelled to join the lies in order to keep the media from excoriating them.
Great comment PeterJ. Jamie McMaster, I have not been happy that Harper has danced so close to the sun on the AGW issue. I wish he would have built a better exit position for when we needed it. The Alberta election result was the trigger for Harper actually ponying up and putting a “commitment” on the table.
It would have been bad enough to have the Progressive Jim Prentice winning the election in AB – and I think Harper was prepared for that outcome – but and NDP super majority was an absolute game changer. It opens the door for potential major gains for the NDP (or as Kathy Shaidle so rightly calls them “you’ve got to be kidding” party federally.
Harper has to blunt that, but at some point dammit he must take a stand that AGW is a fraud.
I agree, and my donation schedule has reflected my unhappiness.
