  1. I don’t see the problem – Carney requires a surveillance state if he is to rule properly. He can’t have dissent or opposition, especially from far right proles.
Besides, that’s what millions of Canadians voted for – a Forever Government that keeps them safe.

  2. The government thinks they need to have access to these backdoors to keep us safe. They insist that only the government will have access to these backdoors, because the government is filled with the most highly competent people, and no criminals would ever have the same level of competence as an average civil servant to be able to exploit these same access points to steal your data and ID.

  3. I’m sure the government will come out with CarneyVPN, by Brookefield, to keep all your data safe from the prying eyes of anyone other that the government, and whoever Brookefield decides to sell your data to.

  4. Government-mandated back-doors make wireless routers a problem, particularly in the city. Ethernet is the way.

Or maybe fiber-channel, given the way they snoop. It’s hard to listen in on a fiber-optic line without putting a direct tap in it.

Once it’s on the Interwebz though, aint no VPN going to protect you. Thanks, #Lieberals.

  5. I was threatened by the RCMP … in French … so I’ve been using a VPN on my iPad ever since. I’ve had it on my desktop for some time now … but added it to my iPad too.
