Unlike ontario and BC, they didn’t throw a tax at that volcano. The fools. Probably too late now. Thankfully we have taken steps to prevent such events with our carbon tax. We are much smarter than they are. This global warming is so predictable and is all part of climate change. Bless Ontario and BC for their foresight. Not sure if BC’s carbon taxes are high enough yet, due to Vancouvers proximity to Mt. Baker. I would suggest a surtax on the carbon tax just to be on the safe side. Washington won’t do it but we can say “we told you so” when the mountain erupts. We know it’s money well spent to fight climate change. We are so much smarter than they are.

Volcano
There goes Chiles carbon credit balance for a century or more in an afternoon. They owe the rest of the world at least $5 a head. If they don’t use socialism to stop it by tomorrow they will owe us $10 each.
Has anyone seen data for how much co2 that volcano is putting out? Which website will let me know how many millions of cars that is in equivalence?
But,but,but. Volcanoes don’t put out CO2,only man does. Not to mention sulfides and NOx on huge scales. Ban all volcanoes!

Interesting.Volcanoes on average emit 130-260 million tonnes of co2 per year into the atmosphere. Human activities emit 26 billion tonnes of co2 per year. Had that written down the last time the subject came up. Will try to find the source link again and post it.

The whole subject has been hijacked by the global warming crowd and finding neutral ground is a bit tricky. But the one thing that’s certain, is they really don’t know.

That volcano in Chile….
Back in the day….was doing some contracting in Indonesia…..one of the oil geologist gave a few of us a crash course in volcanology….he said there would be a test…and the failing grade was death….
That pic above is a Plinian eruption…..they spawn pyroclastic flows…google that…..it could save yer life…off chance….
I can’t recall how many times a piece of other wise obscure knowledge saved my hide.
BTW I have never visited Naples…deliberately…and will never see Yellowstone..
