Just a warning for those with delicate sensibilities, Warren Kinsella makes an appearance in the latest edition of The Brian Lilley Podcast. He spends some time dissing The Shiny Pony and his attempts to pretend he knows the middle class. Also Marissa Semkiw discusses why Ontario Premier Kathleen Wynne is wrong on the issue of the male-female wage gap. And I talk to left economist David Macdonald and debate the merits of the budget with him.

That’s hilarious – Warren Kinsella pretending to know anything about ANY kind of class! Everybody knows he has NO class whatsoever! LOL!
I never thought I’d find myself agreeing with Warren Kinsella but he is spot on with his assessment of Candidate “Zoolander’s” open hypocrisy about middleclass empathy.
It isn’t just the bouffant kid who makes this image faux pas but just about any politician who claims to represent the 99% yet are obviously from, or represent the 1%.
Kinsella is correct in that voters look for candidates who relate to them who have shared their struggles – real empathy. Unlike Kinsella, I don’t believe the job of a political handler is to fool public perception of non empathetic candidates. I still believe Canadians have an innate sense of which politicians have genuine empathy with them.
Trudeau appeals to the Laurentian bourgeoisie, old Trudeaupian personality cult groupies like Craig Oliver and naïve urban kids who think pot and gender inclusive washrooms are pressing public policy issues. He may pull 20% when they drop the writ.
if Kinsella is turning conservative, someone please ask him not to.
I think Kinsella picked up a bit of sense by osmosis in his dealings with Sun TV.
Quite right. And “Just visiting the middle class” fits oh so well with Iggy’s “Just visiting”.
No, rabbit, he isn’t turning conservative. He’s expressing the dismay of old-guard Liberals at the total lightweight now at the helm of his party. Remember he’s a Chretien man then and always. This means he regards Martin as a traitor and disdains all of his successors to varying degrees.
Well, when you’ve lost the Lying Jackal, you’ve really lost.
I kinda want to see Harper make a putz out of Shiny Pony in the debates though. That should be good for some giggles, Stevie gently explaining to the Pony why his Big Socialist Ideas will bring ruination and despair to the country.
As much as I despise Trudeau, the best way to lose the election is for Harper to treat Trudeau arrogantly and show how much he disdains him during the televised debate.
