Seeing as members of Congress can use inside information legally,I don’t see why the government can’t.
After the 60 Minutes expose on this in 2011, they apparently made law (the Stock Act) prohibiting this,then quietly rescinded parts of it in 2013.
Follow the money, you’ll always come up with interesting conclusions.
