Wynneing!

Donna Quixote;

The Toronto Star has an article today that goes into great detail about how Kathleen Wynne is furious at Dalton McGuinty for leaving her holding the bag for the gas plant scandal. This, of course, is the same Kathleen Wynne who upon winning the leadership for the LPO, stood up and proclaimed to the world how she was so proud of her role in the Dalton Gang cabinet and how she intended to stay the course and continue building on McGuinty’s legacy. […]
Naturally, in trying to distance Wynne as far as possible from The Quitter, they fail to mention that it was Wynne who signed off on the cancellation of those gas plants.

Plus,

It is interesting to note one final thing. In August of 2012, Dalton McGuinty cut funding for the Centre of Forensic Sciences…

From the comments“I find it ironic that the folks who were laid off at the Centre for Forensic Sciences were also specialists in, um, retrieving deleted child pornography. Where IS that picture of Ms. Wynne, Mr. Trudeau, Jr. and Professor Levin (charges are now up to 8, I believe)? “

  1. Not sure what it is, but my sister who lives in Toronto likes Wynne. Might be the feminist … female good, male bad, side of her. Remember the reaction from some quarters when Princess Redford was run off?
I amuse myself by calling, pretending to be ignorant of the issues and chuckling under my breath at her delusions.

  2. Heh. I like that SYF. Almost makes me wish I had a family member there to amuse myself with. ALMOST. I’ll just content myself with the delusional retards here in AB and BC. Is a bit overwhelming sometimes. Soooooooooo many targets.
As to the Wyyyyner, just a leftard eating a leftard. Looks good. Darwin’s law is so cool.

  3. Not a good week at all for Wynne. In addition to all of this, we had the leaks of:
    1. The “budget leak plan” (to the Conservatives, by bureaucrats, apparently),
    and
    2. The Liberal campaign plan (presented by David Herle — snicker — to a closed door Liberal campaign team meeting).
The second is related to the first, in that the Liberal “strategy”, to prevent their defeat at the polls by the Conservatives, is to draw votes away from the NDP by promising yet more indiscriminate, unfunded and unsustainable spending (all the hallmarks of Paul Martin’s last campaign).
What I find interesting about these leaks is that they had to have come from folks who are relatively close to the centre of things. Obviously, there a few who are disgusted and disgruntled.
Damage control? Yes, with much damage to control.
pkuster’s link is excellent, and I might add further that I find it ironic that the folks who were laid off at the Centre for Forensic Sciences were also specialists in, um, retrieving deleted child pornography. Where IS that picture of Ms. Wynne, Mr. Trudeau, Jr. and Professor Levin (charges are now up to 8, I believe)? Paging babt; paging babt.

  4. Wynne can’t take the heat over the gas plant scandal so she’s threatening legal action against Hudak and Lisa McLeod. I mean how dare they question her on her Party’s misspending some billion tax payer’s dollars to retain power. Don’t know what they’ve said that’s litigious, they’ve just said she was there and ask how she didn’t know. I say let her go to court, we may get through the maze and it may not turn out as she might hope.

  5. All Hudak has to say in response to the SLAPP is ‘We look forward to the discovery phase of the suit’.

  6. Not sure why Whinnie is still around. Redford got punted for much less and Dunderdale took the high jump for less again.
She (Wynne) should be facing criminal charges as should McGinty.

  7. Wynne has amassed an impressive list of Liberals she has had to distance herself from; McGuinty is but the latest more are certain to come.Benjamin Levin, charged child pornographer, was her transition team leader. The famous photo of Wynne, Levin and Jr at the gay shindig has been cropped to remove Levin in most media outlets, but not here. Last week she declared never to have heard of Peter Faist the computer wiping guru and “boyfriend”, only to admit next day he worked for her caucus and party, until he was fired. David Livingston, she merely stated never worked in her administration, another nonperson by her reckoning.
And so it goes. The truth is Wynne is joined to McGuinty and all the above at the hip, it is impossible to shed 10 years of Liberal mismanagement.

  8. Just finding out now that a couple of Dulton’s greasy administration Snr. Execs decamped from the scene of the political crimes in Ontario and were hired as the Executive branch of the BC Liberal party.
Just wonderful. They were morons in Ontario, destroyed that province’s economic backbone with the totally stupid Greenie Kool aid chugging energy program. And now they are the executives of the Governing party in BC.
Christy Clark needs her head examined.

  9. “Wynne can’t take the HEAT over the GAS PLANT scandal”

  10. We should be very concerned when a leader seeks to counter her political opposition by libel suit rather than parliamentary debate. It is an attempt to silence debate and Wynne ought to be turfed on that principle alone.
Can you possibly imagine PM Harper attempting to sue Mr Mulcair instead of responding to him in the House of Commons? Who’d buy that?

  11. So Mc Squinty knew Levi Boy was molesting children?
Laying off the entire computer crimes squad would imply premeditation, can these people be interviewed to find out what they knew or stumbled across that threatened the Liberals?
Wynning is rapidly becoming Whynning, look what you made me do being the Libtards “battle” cry, as they run for the hills.
Perhaps Ontario needs to reelect the Liberals, think of it as saving BC voters from these same bandits.
Oh right, Ontariowe is done, BC still has some wealth and will be a good base to work while preparing inroads to Alberta and Saskatchewan.
Parasites move from host to host as they must.

  12. As has been stated elsewhere, all the lawsuit could do is conclusively prove that Wynne is a liar or stupid. Part of the events happened on her watch.

  13. Redford PC
    Dunderdale PC
    vs
Wynne Liberal plus lazy MSM and LIV
Hope that clears it up for you.

  14. No, Christy is a typical Liberal showing Liberal Club loyalty to another Liberal. Liberals move seamlessly from federal to Provincial Parties and from one Province to another.
Christy came from the Federal Liberal bunch, her mentor was David Anderson,so it’s no surprise a nervous Ontario Liberal would hide out in B.C. She is probably a former colleague of Laura.
McGuinty and Wynne may have thought that the East still communicated with the Far West by Pony Express, and thus their girl would never be found,or, until the ship hit the sand,”outta sight, outta mind”.
If the Canadian “system” works at all, Wynne and McGuinty should end up in disgrace, with Wynne forced to resign. I have NO illusions whatsoever that anyone will go to jail, that isn’t done in Canada, but heads SHOULD roll figuratively speaking.I’d like to see them both lose their government pensions.
Otherwise, we’re no better than any Banana Republic and shouldn’t ever claim Canada holds the moral high ground.

  15. I was assuming, because the erasing of the computers was discovered in the gas plant investigation, that the erasing was related to the gas plants. But this thread made me think: do we know that’s the case? For example it could be that they did know something about Levin before it was public.

  16. Wynne is both a terrible liar and a total Liberal. She is given a pass by the MSM because she’s both a woman and openly gay. The MSM is bending over backwards to avoid a lawsuit from daring to question her “integrity”.
I’ve lived in Ontario all my life and it makes me sick to witness the last 10+ years of decline in our standard of living. As if the health tax weren’t enough, we had to have green energy resulting in huge hydro bills. Just wondering, weren’t the landowners housing the useless windmills some of Dalton’s friends?

  17. The mindset of liberals never ceases to amaze me. I find it impossible to resist accusing them of possessing an interminably shallow intellect that won’t allow them to see beyond the superficial platitudes to which they so adamantly subscribe. It wouldn’t matter to them if the Wynne/McGuinty teamed up with Putin. To them, the discussion never goes beyond a catchy slogan and manipulative cynical propaganda.

  18. Both Laura Miller and the “boyfriend” Peter Faist have been asked to appear before the Ont justice committee looking into the gas plant scandal. Both are living in BC and have lawyered up, apparently they cannot be forced to appear. I thought they would be unceremoniously ordered back under subpoena, but that doesn’t seem to be the way these things work. The Office of the BC Premier is involved, so a speedy resolution is unlikely.

  19. Christy Clark was already up to her neck in the green scheme.
Schools and hospitals were forced to pay carbon credits to make them ‘carbon neutral.’ The carbon tax is still in place. Christy Clark is just another corrupt politician who was propped up by ‘conservatives’ in the last BC election.

  20. So, thinking out loud here – Whynne’s suit will: likely be less than 50k to avoid discovery, used to bleed cash out of the PCs in time for an election, used as an excuse to avoid pertinent and damaging questions in the legislature.
Really, really getting fed-up with Liberal and leftist lawfare. Since the Liberals like the courts so much, a massive class action suit against the Liberal Party might be fun, its caucus and executive members to recover the gas plant money, the Ehealth money, the ORNGE costs, the alternate energy squanders, and whatever else can be sorted out that was more for the fortunes of the party than the people. It might not be too hard to push past parliamentary privilege given that McGuinty or party insiders were so apparently blatant at making tax-funded decisions for party favour.
The Liberals must never be allowed to govern in Canada again.

  21. You know nerves are getting frayed when everyone starts lawyering up.
Millers lawyer has sent a nasty letter telling the OPP investigator to stop saying Miller refused to testify.
Miller agreed to testify in November as long as she had immunity from everything she was unlawfully involved in.
The deal was rightfully turned down.
Now Millers lawyer is implying that its Millers constitutional right to testify only if she has an immunity deal in place.
The truth is slowly coming out and the participants are running scared.
It will only take one person to tell the truth and then the whole house of cards will come tumbling own.
In the meantime the OPP should keep following the money, the Libs are covering up much more than the gas plant scandal.

  22. The Star/Globe/CBC cover up the fact criminal scum run the Ont. Government we expect that, they are complicit – to the polls enough gabbing – drop the writ, change regimes and forge ahead with the indictments and incarcerations – or kiss the place off as any functional rule of law jurisdiction – it has been supplanted by a media-political-police criminal cabal you can’t vote out.

  23. These scandals have a way of never taking down anyone of significance. Anybody remember the Liberals and the sponsorship scandal? The guy that took the fall was a gardner from the NCC. The Libranos walked away unscathed.
The cancellation of the power plants is the ON Libs ad scam. They should be destroyed by this and the leadership jailed. That wont happen of course, another gardner will take the fall.

  24. It’s all up to Ms. Horwath, as it always has been (emphasis on the “has been”).

  25. I think we now have a pretty good idea of why McGuinty resigned a year and a half ago, don’t we? Billions wasted bribing a few ridings is one thing, but pedophilia in high government circles is something else. Wouldn’t look good for Premier Dad if one of his and Wynne’s top people was discovered, and this would certainly have taken the Libs down in a rain of hell-fire from the voters.
What do you expect are the chances that Premier Dad will ever be back in Ontario to answer questions? And when can we expect the Red Star to ever admit and start investigating that it’s been part and parcel of covering up a massive provincial government sex scandal?
And it’s now obvious that Faist was vacuuming computers for far more than just incriminatign emails about canceled gas plant contracts. Levin’s browser history for one.

  26. The OPP should just issue a warrant for both of their arrests. Then the BC govt would have to send them back, in handcuffs.

  27. So are the OPP finally growing a set after their disgusting capitulation to the “will of Dalton” at Caledonia and their continuing refusal to deal with the chosen ones who keep blocking railroad tracks whenever they feel slighted by anyone?

  28. http://www.theglobeandmail.com/news/national/ontario-committee-asks-bc-liberal-director-miller-to-testify-over-deleted-documents/article17827275/
Sean: See the tone of this exchange, OPP have nothing on them at this point to charge them with anything. Also it appears they cannot be compelled to appear. Ont legislature has its own very strange rules all of which enormously favour the sitting government. Liberals cannot even be presented with a vote of non-confidence in this matter, which is why Wynne is frantically preparing a socialist budget. Most jurisdictions she would face a censure vote, but not Ont.

  29. What about the riding associations?
    The individual Liberal MPP’s?
Are they all so merit of decency that they will allow this farce to continue?
If so the concept of a class action suit against the Liberal Party of Ontario is not so far fetched.
If the liberal party members do not impose some respect for citizen, law and ethics upon their representatives, they are just as guilty as Wynne.
At least Albertan MPP’s were willing to walk.
Nothing with a spine in the Ontario Liberals elected members?

  30. “Wouldn’t look good for Premier Dad…”
Leave it to a clueless media to come up with that term for The Dildo.
As if that lying weasel has anything in common with a father figure.

  31. cgh:
McGuinty testified twice before the justice committee, which is all he is going to offer. he made some definitive statements under oath about knowledge of the missing e mail documents, in answer to specific questions. If his answers prove to be false from recovered computer data, he can be charges with perjury. McGuinty as a lawyer knows this full well. He has been very careful in his answers.
Unless a smoking gun appears, he is probably in the clear on this.
