62 Replies to “CNN vs. Ted Nugent”

  1. From what I’ve seen of him, Nugent is eloquent yet vernacular and can surely defend himself if not decimate an opponent with facts and logic. However the lightweight lefties keep lining up to “brow beat” him – a genetic flaw in lefty DNA which (stupidly) assumes anyone who opposes their self-destructive crusade against the 2nd amendment must be a mouth-breathing Neanderthal with no capacity for progressive “enlightenment”. Of course they routinely are confronted by dissenters to the lefty mantra who are not only their intellectual betters but their moral betters and then the labeling, name calling and smears go out to attack the opponent – justified in the elitist lefty mind because they can never be wrong because their genetic arrogance won’t allow it.
Score another lefty scalp for Uncle Ted, keep wackin’ and stakin’ ‘em bro. Given that Morgan’s ratings tanked because of his anti-second amendment propagandizing for the Obumbles cartel, I hope CNN keeps pushing this agenda until they become a fully dependent Dem media outlet on the public teat – at least then they can no longer claim any independence or unbiased balance.

  2. I have a saved clip of Erin Burnett that I like to use from time to time in other videos – it involves Burnett lecturing Pam Geller that the word “jihad” means inner struggle.
Erin Burnett is very easy on the eyes, but man is she stupid.

  3. The terms Ted used were ABSOLUTELY used in a racist context – I do it myself to drive sanctimonious white lefties crazy. They foam at the mouth when I remind them they called Bush a monkey – why is it ‘racist’ to do the same with Obutthole?
Further: we are going to find the “racists” are right about quite a few things, and that the progtards were wrong about pretty much everything.
All this ‘race crap’ is just a red herring anyway; guys like Ted and I don’t hate Obama because he is black, we hate him because he is a liar, a thief and a cheat. And an idiot. Discriminating against criminals and idiots is as legal as church on Sunday – something else that would no doubt offend the liberal cretins of CNN.

  4. Ted Nugent is a coward who avoided the draft by crapping his pants.
A very big mouth, backed by a very small brain, and balls the size of teardrops.
    Your hero.

  5. Good for Ted in standing up to the Marxist double-speaker.
Part of the problem is that the radical left has had thing their way for a long time, taken over almost everything, and cannot stand some push back.
Just like here in Canada, the Laurentian Elite Liberals just cannot get over the fact that they lost control of the country and western Canadian demographics and wealth will eventually bury them into the dustbin of history.

I sure am happy you signed on as “guest”. I would hate to think that you were one of the regular readers and commentators of SDA. I think you must be a “coward” by posting without access to your name. Even our valued librul commentators leave enough so we know where they are coming from.

  7. Your name is old country boy? That is an odd one.
Instead of immediately getting all territorial, why dont you try to investigate? Within 3 or 4 clicks you can find direct quotes from the coward himself about how he cried and crapped and drugged himself out of the draft.
The biggest problem with you people is your lack of curiosity. You don’t want to think, you want to be told what to think.

  8. Well there seems to be a lot of confusion over the “dodged draft by crapping his pants” story. Apparently he described doing just that in an 1977 magazine interview, but has since claimed he made up the story. Either way he did avoid serving, whatever the reason. Of course it is not really fair to hold a person’s beliefs as an 18 year-old against them when they are in their 60s.

  9. Yeah, leave the name-calling to the tolerant Left. But he backed it up, reminding Erin of the horrid language the MEDIA used on Bush.

  10. Well, he’s no Mark Steyn that’s for sure. I prefer my warriors to be on the happy side. Better jokes.

  11. It does seem by a few “guest” comments on last evening’s threads and on this one to be true that the leftists are making a concerted effort to take over newspaper and blog comments sections.

  12. Back in the day we learned, that you salute the uniform not the man.
Respect for the office of POTUS does not bestow diplomatic immunity from criticism nor automatically bestow respect for the man.
Politics takes many forms….Nugent IMHO is a politician.
Erin Burnett is an aspiring politician…..
Marian Morrison (John Wayne) dodged the draft……not willingly but non-the-less……

  13. The problem with you is you act like a bigot but pretend otherwise, like an infant. You simply hide behind meaningless words and a smog of ignorant smugness. Note that I did not say “you people”, as you did, you bigoted, racist punk.

  14. “You don’t want to think, you want to be told what to think.”
This from an obvious Lefty troll.
Talk about wanting to be told what to think, lets take the treatment of Ted Nugent by CNN and compare it to two other people in the news these days, Alec Baldwin and Paula Deen. Both major Lefties, incidentally.
Nugent called the President bad names in an off-the-cuff video, CNN attempts to pillory him in an interview. Fails, but tries. Alec Baldwin -maybe- calls some guy a faggot on the street, he gets tossed out of the New York “A” list and cold-shouldered into leaving town. Paula Deen calls some guy a “n1gg3r” because he pointed a gun at her face, and says it in a court deposition under oath ten or more years after the fact, she gets her whole celebrity chef career destroyed.
Question for you Mr. Troll, does this seem like a good thing for CNN and the rest of the media to be doing?
People like Nugent and Alex Jones are pretty valuable to society right now. They are the pointy end of the spear in the culture war against people who fight by lies and personal destruction, as seen with Paula Deen and Alec Baldwin. They stand up and say “Try me, @ssh0les!” That’s somebody we want to keep around.
    Questions? Comments?

  15. There is a link from my sign on. Everything you need to know about me is there. What about you, oh great anonymous guest. Read other comments to answer your blather. By the way, did you serve, lsincy you think what he did was so bad? Ya know, even with the draft, most young men did not have to serve. Some did voluntarily, some involuntarily.

  16. No, Nugent did not call the black jesus a name, he defined the fool in less than flattering terms, and a term used by the fool himself. I use non-complementary terms like that myself, and get called a racist for it. Mind you I don’t take that designate lying down:-)))

  17. Obama was raised as a Communist, mentored by communists, acts like a communist.
    OMG!! Nugent said Mongrel. Racist!!!!!
Look, every commie that knows what they are doing are sub-human scum.

  18. I don’t watch CNN on a regular basis so I have no opinion on the woman you are incensed about. I follow Canadian politics primarily. I just think it is remarkable that anyone would express admiration for such an obvious coward.
If you admire a despicable person your judgement is garbage. You extremists always pick the wrong heroes and discredit yourselves as a result.

  19. ah the tollerant left, they can yell all the names they want and it’s ok, but let Ted use the word mongril and he’s a racist.
Good on Ted, he didn’t take her crap!
Ted’s also right, obummer is a traitor, a trojan horse, doing everything he can to destroy the usa.

  20. “The biggest problem with you people is your lack of curiosity. You don’t want to think, you want to be told what to think.”
Actually we all pretty much used to be Liberal because we were “told” “they care more” just like you.
Then we read a little history and saw for ourselves the destruction, suffering and death that accompanies everything associated with modern Liberal ideals.
Ted Nugent is my hero from when I was a default Liberal largely apolitical and he was the Motor City Madman and hunting with Fred Bear another boyhood hero.
Nobody’s perfect but it’s the leftards like you that worship at the cult of personality and can’t explain a dumb as dirt substitute drama teacher and ultimate frisbee coach that’s never worked a day in his life for their elected political leader.
    This just KILLS!
    “LOOK OUT, LOOK OUT”

  21. Obama on the View said we are all mongrels.
Nugent upped the ante with the ‘sub-human’ adjective, which is a pretty apt description for a leader of the left death cult, which on many issues rejects the sanctity of human life.

  22. reading comprehension challenged liberal troll said: “I just think it is remarkable that anyone would express admiration for such an obvious coward.”
Two things are amazing about this comment of yours. First, Ted Nugent is many things, not all of them particularly admirable I’m sure, but a coward isn’t one of them. That’s the whole point of my comment, he’s making a lightning rod out of himself and taking on the whole PC Media Complex face first. By contrast you don’t even list a web page, hero.
Second, I didn’t admire him, I said he was useful to society. I don’t like Nugent, nor Alex Jones, but their contribution to keeping America (and Canada!) free from the creeping sickness of socialism is not to be despised.
Markon has the best comment on this thread so far. “Obama was raised as a Communist, mentored by communists, acts like a communist. OMG!! Nugent said Mongrel. Racist!!!!!”
Here you are joining in. American soldiers were left to -die- at Benghazi, and what’s important about it is that Ted Nugent said “chimpanzee” and dodged the draft when he was 18. Narrative much?
Question from my original comment remains, Mr. Political. Is it a good idea for CNN et al to be doing this type of thing to Ted Nugent, Alec Baldwin and Paula Deen? Don’t hurt yourself thinking now, eh?

  23. Nick Searcy has been taking lefty Twitter users to the woodshed over this very thing for the last day or so.
They gratuitously throw about terms like “teabagger”, “racist”, and “bigot”. He’s been responding by calling them “fat” or “fat ass”.
They, predictably, have been losing their minds over the “fat shaming”, oblivious to the hypocrisy.
Incidentlly, they do not appear to be suitably impresed by his amazing ability to deduce their BMI through Twitter.

  24. The guy sh*t has pants and cried and smeared sh*t around as his strategy to avoid the draft. He laughed about it and bragged that he had gotten away with something clever. If you don’t define that as cowardice then you don’t accept that cowardice exists. Going on a TV show and talking like a clown, to another clown, for the attention of still more clowns, takes no courage at all. None.
Ted Nugent is the proof that P.T. Barnum was overly generous to the suckers.
BTW, the immediate knee-jerk reactions from various people here about my politics only underlines my point. This is not a political discussion, it is marginal clowns flexing for each other.

  25. Why can’t Republican politicians stand their ground in this way?
Since none of the commenters answered this , I will. Republican politicians are all progressive large government Statists just like Democratic politicians.

  26. So, you missed the part where Nugent is a policeman in his home state goes on SWAT raids where there’s shooting involved? Guess so.
Still can’t answer a straight up political question either. Let’s try again.
Is it a good idea for CNN et al to be doing this type of public smear thing to Ted Nugent, Alec Baldwin and Paula Deen? Is it a benefit to society and political discourse?
Try an answer without a gratuitous homophobic insult in it. It’ll be a refreshing change from your pattern so far.

  27. She doesn’t have the intellect to interview without constantly referring a lot to her talking points on her desk, ala Soledad O’Brian. Like Soledad, Erin Needs more DNA in her diet.
As for Baracks “…..mongrel… we know more about it”.
Yeah they know more about mongrels…. fathers marching in and out of single mother families on welfare..in the hood..
    Nugent was spot on.

  28. I would think the “lefties” (whether you’re one or not) would celebrate Nugent’s tactics to avoid the draft. Vietnam Nam vets we’re spit upon for their service. The “lefties” should have been standing in line to kiss Nugent’s posterior crappy as it apparently was.

  29. I like Ted,
whatever he’s saying it’s generally for freedom, and because he loves his country & that’s alright with me.

  30. 1) I don’t believe a word out of his mouth. Nugent promised that he would be dead or gone within one year of Obama being elected. He is neither. The thing to remember about a coward and a liar, is that cowards/liars will lie to you to try to convince you that they are neither.
    2) I have no opinion about CNN’s programming – as I already said – because I don’t watch it regularly. In general I think it is a bad thing for any media to dumb down public discourse to the extent that they do. But without more exposure to the station, I can’t form an opinion on their specific programming.
    3) If you saw a homophobic slur in anything I wrote then you are projecting a wee bit. I am not homophobic, heteronormative, hemophiliac or even particularly homely. But you knew that, you are just grasping at strawmen.

  31. guestlol >
Enjoy your National Defence Authorization Act, it’ll fit in well with all that wonderful FREE health care your dear leader has provided you.

  32. Refreshing to listen to Ted. The folks that would have two lines, one headed to the Gulag and one headed to the food stamp offices, must really hate it when their world view is exposed.

  33. ” The thing to remember about a coward and a liar, is that cowards/liars will lie to you to try to convince you that they are neither.”
Does this also apply to you? I’ve noticed that some of the most vitriolic about “draft dodging” comments I have seen over the year have come from pseudo heroes who have never seen the inside of a military uniform. Only about 10% of those who have served, in and out of harms way, have ever participated in the tooth part of the army. The rest, participated in the, just as important, tail. The participants have/had no choice in the matter.
I have also found few veterans who disparaged anyone who could legally improve their chances of not being drafted. The two exceptions were the draft dodgers fleeing to Canada and the students and professors that got unearned student exemptions. Very few sane people ever volunteer to be killed, particularly for political reasons.
Although many of us have served and many spilled blood, but all spilled sweat and tears, to preserve your right to say what you want. To me, it is an even greater transgression to make the statements you have made without any military skin in the game. And, I am not sure, after the travesty of librul/communist censorship and trampling of our Constitution, that I would ever again defend your right to say it.

  34. blahblahblah finally said: ” In general I think it is a bad thing for any media to dumb down public discourse to the extent that they do.”
Oh, goody. Finally a statement of something like a commitment to a moral value. Yeah, me too. I think its a bad thing. Are we talking “bee in the kitchen” bad here, or something stronger?
Because I happen to think media smearing of public figures for SAYING WORDS is a public catastrophe. Alec Baldwin said a word, and now he’s going to move out of New York City because the other kids won’t let him play. Paula Deen said a word, and now she’s going broke. The weird beard guy on that duck show I don’t watch said a word and they fired him off his own TV show.
That’s why I like it when Nugent calls her on it. If Justin Trudeau (whom I despise) did the same thing, I’d cheer for him too.
Noticed the straw man in the corner there, did you? See what I did there? You said “marginal clowns flexing for each other” and I said RACISTBIGOTHOMOPHOBE!!!!! Because you said a word. You said “flexing”. Like Ted Nugent said “mongrel”.
Give me a national TV audience and I could have you tossed out in the street for that.
    Are we thinking now?

  35. A fun story, told by George Goble, was about having no choice where he served in WWII. Now George Goble was a much loved comedian in the 50s 60s and 70s. Many of you will not remember him. He served as a fighter pilot in WWII.
George commented on his service on the Johnnie Carson show. He was amazed, that after going through flight school, and advanced combat training, the Army Air Corps decided to station him at an obscure airfield at Frederick, Oklahoma. Being the good ol’ country boy he was, he decided the Army Air Corps knew best. He also decided to do the best he could at the flying job assigned to him. He knew that he did his job, because no Japanese aircraft ever got past him at Frederick to bomb Tulsa!
Now compare that attitude to that of the A-O, guestlol.

  36. “Erin Burnett is very easy on the eyes, but man is she stupid.”
Ummm… I’m not so sure; she looks like a Hobbit.
“They say that love is powerful as cough syrup in styrofoam
All I know is I fell asleep and woke up in that Monte Carlo
With the ugly Kardashian Lamar, oh
Sorry yo, we done both set the bar low” – Eminem(Berzerk)

  37. Erin really does seem to enjoy being spanked…bit of a glutton for it actually
    Must be the liberal DNA

  38. Ironic that you smear this guy to make your point whatever that point is. The topic here is the usual media pile on Ted Nugent and his apt response to it.

  39. The last thing she says is “I’ll leave it to our viewer to decide”. Freudian slip? If so, she’s closer to being accurate than she thinks.

  40. James said: “Ironic that you smear this guy to make your point whatever that point is.”
James, are you being disagreeable or did you genuinely not get that I’m trying to steer this troll back to the point of the post? Remember James, its not the nature of the evidence that matters in our Brave New World, its the seriousness of the charge. Remember also, the truth is not a defense.
These are the rules of liberal debate, such as it is. I didn’t make them, I’m just playing by them.

  41. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=efHVcgUajtA
This is the show you’re referring to.
So many of the people of that generation who entertained us so well, were people with REAL character, and SO many of them were Veterans of WW2: George Gobel of course, and Lee Marvin, Charles Bronson, Charles Durning,to name just a few…..

    …and James Doohan, Eddie Albert,Donald Pleasance,Ernest Borgnine……
I miss ’em.We’ll never see their like again in showbiz.
